My image is of something that's theatrical instead of grounded-- characters pose and have soliloquies that no one else can hear and there's dance elements, etc.

Hunter's movements start out as pretty natural-- even when singing, he doesn't move around much unless being positioned by someone else (like when he's led in a dance.) What he does most is like... sway with emotion. In general, he's something that is pushed around by his environment.

This changes during Father-- when Hunter changes appearance, his movements become more deliberately posed and unnatural, with a feeling of performance. The drama gets amped way up in King of Swords (Reversed), where he starts making exaggerated gestures, adding flourishes to mundane actions, moving to the beat... generally putting on much more of a show than was previously in-character for him. It ebbs and flows but overall sticks around until the end, even after he drops his guise and his appearance changes back.
