yes it is, important distinction. i myself got a bit of the latter going on here and there so you get a bunch of scientifically reliable bi-nsider stats. warning: it's hot and horny in this lab.

my romantic preference goes towards smoochable guys (including yoongi's knitted sweaters) most of the time while the sexual preference goes either way or towards the bi and lesbian ladies most often privately. realistic odds are, the girls have like a 60-80% faster chance to give me the hots.

now, the former (heteroromantic homosexuality) from an outside perspective: yes, you'd have to be extremely clear-cut in affection-based vs eroticism-based preference. but it's very possible on the SAM (split attraction model) and it has its own flag, the term would be cross-oriented, or vario. as opposed to, periorientation. which would be say a biromantic bisexual, heteroromantic heterosexual, and so on. TL;DR - yup, it's a thing.
