You’d left for rather quickly that morning, after waking up late you barely had time to get ready, given the fact that you taught kindergartners, you’d really couldn’t be late.

You loved those kids though, they always put a smile on your face no matter the day you were having. Currently, your day had started off rough, you’d been in such a rush that you’d forgotten your lunch, so instead, it looks like you’ll be grading instead of eating during your lunch break.

While you were reading the kids a story during circle time, there was a soft knock at the classroom door.

Setting down the book, you called, “Come in!”

The door opened and you were rather surprised to see your boyfriend, Aziraphale, standing there, the lunch you’d left at home in his hands.

“Who are you?” one little boy, Eli, asked.

“Why do you dress like that?” another one of your students, Taylor, asked.

You laughed lightly, standing from your chair as you walked over to Aziraphale, “What are you doing here?” you asked, smiling as the group of kids behind you whispered amongst themselves.

“I saw you left your lunch this morning, so I thought I’d pop in for a visit,” the angel told you with a smile, handing you the lunch bag.

Your smile widened, “Thank you, love,” you told him.

“Anything for you,” Aziraphale answered, leaning forward to press a quick kiss to your cheek.

“Ms. Y/L/N?” one of your students asked. You turned around, smiling.

“Yes Nathan?” you asked the little boy.

“Who is that?” he asked, pointing to Aziraphale.

“Oh,” you said, grabbing Aziraphale’s hand and pulled him more into the room, “Everyone, this is Aziraphale.”

Next came a chorus of Hi from all your students as they waved, Aziraphale’s face lit up, he did have a soft spot for children, “Hello,” Aziraphale told them, “it’s very nice to meet you all.”

“Are you dating?” Taylor asked, cocking her head to the side as she studied you and the angel.

You could feel your face heating up a bit, “Yes we are sweetheart” you said. The kids all scrunched up their faces, “Ewww” they groaned, making you laugh.

“Is he gonna stay here?” Taylor asked, she was always the one asking the most questions during lessons, you guessed it was the same way for visitors as well.

“I don’t see why not” you said, turning to Aziraphale.

“I’d be delighted,” Aziraphale said, turning to look at the children again, who cheered.

“Would you mind taking over circle time? We were reading Clifford Goes to Kindergarten,” you said.

Aziraphale smiled and nodded, “Of course!” he said, moving to take your place in the chair, picking up the book as he did.

As the angel began reading to the kids, you started to prepare everything for craft time. As you set out the paper, crayons, glue, and scissors, you watched Aziraphale read to the kids. He was great at it, doing different voices and making sure every kid got to see the pictures.

When he was done with the story, you clapped your hands, “Alright guys, come sit down for craft time, remember if you need help cutting or gluing something, just ask,” you said as the kids excitedly got up, hurrying over to the table.

You went and sat at your desk close by, still able to make sure no one was causing any trouble. Aziraphale came to stand beside you, “You’ve been a life saver today,” you told him.

The angel blushed, looking down sheepishly, “It’s nothing my dear, I’m happy to help,” he told you.

You smiled, looking over to make sure the kids were still doing alright, they were all happily coloring, chatting amongst themselves about things such as tv shows and pets.

For a while you and Aziraphale chatted while you graded some homework from yesterday. You both looked up though when one of the quieter kids in class, a smaller boy named Gabe, shyly walked up to your desk.

“Mr. Aziraphale, I drew this for you,” he said softly, holding out a piece of paper to Aziraphale, who gladly took it from the little boy.

“Oh, well, this is a beautiful drawing,” Aziraphale said. Gabe smiled widely as Aziraphale showed you the picture, it was him alright, in a more cartoonish way, but it was good and absolutely adorable.

“Thank you so much,” Aziraphale told Gabe, the little boy nodded, his face growing a little red as he hurried back to his seat.

Throughout craft time, four other students all came up, giving Aziraphale pictures they’d drawn of him, or you and him even.

The kids loved Aziraphale and when he eventually had to leave right before the day ended so you could get the kids ready to go home, each and every one of them hugged him goodbye and made him pinky promise he’d come visit again.

After all the help he was today, you’d definitely have to have the angel visit again. All the drawings the kids made him were proudly hung on the fridge of yours and his shared flat.

Maybe you two would just need to have kids of your own one day.
