Thank You!
Thank you!
I genuinely thought a little on that but that just seemed like too little for such a serious situation, and I promise the link I gave informs you that he’s not venomous and of their favorite foods if you look <3
You’re so welcome!
I just read your post and absolute fear shot through me, my friend Saiyuri from Tails-And-Scales adopts out Dream Lamias herself and I myself am very close to the Dreams I adopt out, is he going to be okay? I won't ask for the details but he'll be alright right? Are you okay?
So far, the little guy is alright.
He was beaten up pretty badly and was gagged and bound when I found him, but we’ve gotten him cleaned up and the worst of the bruises tended to. He seems to be entirely non-verbal, though whether from physical harm or trauma is to be determined, and he’s easily spooked as well as being severely touch averse, which is to be expected.
The good thing is that he’s been eating well, and he doesn’t mind being around others so long as no one tries to touch him. Spike seems to have taken a shine to him, oddly enough, and they’ve been sitting together in the medbay for the last while sharing jelly beans.
As for me…
Well.
I won’t say I wasn’t expecting someone to try something like this, there’s sickos and twisted f*cks in this fandom, but I will say it rattled me a bit. I’m just glad that I was the one that found him and not any of the others. Ed probably would have had a fit.

More power to you Cell! Honestly that’s the best way to handle it and we commend you for it!
You might get more help from @tails-and-scales because they have the Lamia variation of Dreams but from what I can advise myself comes from our own Infirmary with Dream bitties in them:
- They are faster to bounce back from trauma than most because of their positive attitudes in life, it doesn’t mean they aren’t any more affected than others are it just means they are more open to getting help because they know it’s important, dreams are positive while their counterparts nightmares are negative so their attitudes are really a big plus in your favor.
- They are very social creatures, Spike befriending him is going to be a great help to him along with others as support is very important to Dreams.
- Most of the time Dreams not talking is from physical trauma as they are quick to assure others not to worry about them when they can even if they really need the help- preferring to protect and care about others. You would think that the psychological trauma would be why he’s not talking but they aren’t the type to become non-verbal from trauma, their nightmare counterparts are more the type to do that.
If he could talk he would have probably said nothing but apologies for the bitty whose dust was forced into his mouth, his trauma likely manifesting as nothing but apologies for the one that died before him. He is probably feeling immense guilt he couldn’t help them.
- On that note he’s probably trying to erase the taste by eating, please make sure he’s given proper foods, the jelly beans were a good choice, please give props to Spike for that, make sure all liquids he drinks have nothing in them and are properly covered so nothing floats into them, if he tastes anything in his drinks he might have a full-blown mental breakdown.
- Touch-shy Dreams have probably been beaten or tortured alone by themselves, Physical comfort is a big thing for Dreams, at least in this shop, until it... isn't.
The touch-shy Dreams in the infirmary become that way because they suffer from nothing but physical abuse as their only form of touch, it will cause them to shy away so they don’t get hurt again.
We’ve found the touch shy ones get very emotional when they are able to express gentle and loving touches again, but please let them go through that process themselves, as a select few just like to watch interactions rather than be a part of them and maybe yours is one of them, and none of the touch-shy ones become as bold as they were before the abuse, they will always see every touch as a big event and as something very important.
Though again, these are the Dream Bitties I have been observing from my shop, it’s possible lamias are a little different and/or there are things that I have been unable to take into account.
I genuinely hope this helps.

When the gf is suddenly pocket sized and very cute.

Everyone welcome the resident ball of love Aziz, meaning ‘Beloved’.
From the very shop Magnar, Arach And Zalman came from he’s going to get a one shot with others soon enough!
Alright, that's it, that rude person right there just boiled my blood. I was unsure but that made up my mind and I was thinking about this all day. Vex! *The Heatsona pushes open the door gently so no one's startled* I have come for a Cherry Coral that the shop will shower with lots of fluffy love! (I have talked to Magnar, Zalman and Arach about this, the parental lamias gave their stamp of approval for a Cherry to live with the affectionate babybones if he wants, the babies adore lamias!)
*Vex is extremely relieved that you’ve arrived at the shop looking for a Cherry Coral today. With all of the attention on the returned Cherry Coral (who has just found his new home), the other resident Cherry Coral at the shop felt even more overlooked. Edgar has been watching over him, giving him plenty of extra attention and affection, but he’s starting to withdraw. Vex has been worried, worried enough that he is currently riding around in her apron pocket.
*The Cherry Coral’s eyelights are dull, and he doesn’t react much when Vex reaches up to scritch his little skull. He definitely needs a home. When you enter the shop, he glances at you with disinterest- another adopter here to ask for a Papython or a Chain. He doesn’t even show interest when you say you want a Cherry Coral. You probably just want that other Cherry Coral. His little skull does lift slightly when you mention a nursery and babybones.
*One thing that the Cherry learned about living in the nursery here at the shop is that babies are full of unconditional love. They don’t judge. He almost gets his hopes up… but no. Once you see him, you’ll go look for a different lamia. He’s sure of it. Suddenly, you’re in front of him, crouched down to be at eye level. “Is this him?” you ask Vex. “The Cherry Coral from the nursery?” From the nursery? The returned Cherry Coral never stayed in the nursery…. You… you must be here… for him?
*Vex gently lifts him out of her apron pocket, giving him the opportunity to either turn away and slither back into the pocket to hide or to transfer himself to your waiting arms. “He’s so precious,” you coo. “The babies will love him!” Precious? Babies? The Cherry Coral is unsure. He glances between you and Vex. Finally, he reaches out one little hand and touches your outstretched hand. Nothing bad happens. Slowly, carefully, he climbs into your arms.
