Iāve been kind of busy, kind of stressed from school and while I could have done this any time I sort of forgot... Sorry @writingamongthecoloredroses for forgetting I hope you accept by best (not really) words in apology.
Noelle looked Loire up and down and touched her chin in concentration, āJournalism, you seem like the type.ā
Loire was surprised, she was almost right, journalism was one of her passions. And she had seriously considered majoring in it or just trying to get a job without a degree, but ruled against it. Bringing awareness to issues was one thing, but Loire didnāt just want to report on issues she wanted to change them. But besides that Noelleās powers of observation were impressive, Loire wondered what else she could tell about her by just a glance and a few words.Ā
āThatās an amazing guess, but no,ā Noelleās face fell in a comical way and Loire laughed quietly, āPolitical science actually.āĀ
āDamn and here I thought you seemed like the honest type,ā Noelle laughed and Loire laughed along with her, though only to be polite. She had heard the same joke ever since she started telling people her major, and had resigned herself to the fact that she would hear it much more in her lifetime.
Iāve been writing this story for like three days, but Iām actually loving it and I wonder if itāll go anywhere. Thereās less fantasy than my usual fare, but I can see a future with this story and I hope Iāll get there someday.Ā
Anyway for the tags, @phoenixisdabestwriter, @ohnoitsthebat, @andiwriteunderthemoon, and anyone else who wants to do it, Iām too apathetic to care.
Have an amazing autumn, and remember Halloween is just a month away.Ā

Real and completely apologizes for doing this a little late, I have been in a whirlwind of outlining. @writingamongthecoloredroses and @exceedinglysane thank you for including me in the game, I very much appreciate it.Ā
Now for the last I line I have written...
She smiled sadly at me and crawled back into bed, since she was already wearing her pajamas it didnāt take her long to fall asleep and having been in two fights that night it didnāt take me long either.Ā
Iām sure Iām going to continue with this story, the characters werenāt really speaking with me. But I very much enjoyed the practice writing fight scenes, and immoral characters have been on my mind lately. Watch out for that if I ever post a story again.Ā
I tagĀ @vioaeon @keen2meecha @timefirewrites sorry if you have already done with before and as always feel free to ignore me but be sure to have the best day you can possibly have.

Special, special thank you to @keen2meecha for tagging me in this delightful game. Sorry for getting back to you so late, I suppose quarantine is making me a bit sluggish.
Rules: share your first line and tag as many people as there are words in it.
Elowen took one final glance around the bedroom, pre-dawn light illuminated the small space.
IāmĀ sorry the lineās a little plain, but it opens up to a bit of wall climbing so I think the first chapterās not too boring. Anyway time for the tags! Iām not sure if pre-dawnĀ counts as one word or two, but Iām going to tag the full 15 people just in case.Ā

It was Alainaās own hands that painted the clear glass black that night, though it was Remaldaās that finished the work. By the time they were fast asleep in their beds back at the manor there was a sliver of the moon emblem slashed into the door of the church. An emblem that Alaina was sure she would never forget after that night.
This is the newest short story that I am working on. By the grace of any god that is out there, I will post it before the end of the month. Hopefully, you will all become as enamored with the story as I am.

The Proposal - Photo Prompt Thursday
The best gift to win my hand. It was a game, a game my family was playing at my expense. They knew who I wanted to marry, they already knew who had my heart. But they insisted that they just wanted the best suitor for me, and I had no choice but to oblige.Ā
My lover was strong, resourceful, courageous...and every other virtue I could think of but even still I faltered in my resolve once the gifts started rolling in. I had no idea so people wanted me. Land, jewels, even entire castles were given freely, all for the opportunity of me. If I wasn't already taken I would have been flattered.
The last day of the challenge came, and vast riches had been announced in my name. By this point everyone knew who was going to win. A man had created for me a mountain out of gold, there was truly nothing that could top that. My lover was nowhere, I had not spoken to her since the contest was announced. In my mind she had forsaken me, and was right to do to so. For what could she bring against a mountain of gold?
At sunset the gifts were accounted for and I was resigned to my fate, I had been in love once and that was alright for me. But through that cloudy sunset came my lover. No fanfare, no pomp, she wasn't even dressed for the occasion. Only simply clothed in green wilderness attire, I would have been embarrassed if I wasn't so happy to see her.
She proclaimed that she had a gift that would top anything, and started pulling something small out of her satchel. Laughter ensued from the crowd, for nothing that could fit in a sack could match a mountain of gold. It was a jar, as simple as they come. I wondered if my being given away had turned her mad.
Slowly she walked toward the dais where I stood and as more people saw the jar up close their laughter ceased, so enraptured where they of its contents. Eventually she made it to me and presented the jar, on her knees as if she was proposing. I took it and knew imminently who I was going to be handed off to. For my lover had bottled the stars.
@elizabethfictionwriting I hope you like it.
