This Was Honestly So Adorable, And Honestly, So In Character For Him! The Overthinking... The Stressing...

This was honestly so adorable, and honestly, so in character for him! The overthinking... the stressing... the hide from the public mentality... mating forever. I don't think there is a cuter story about Hawks out there!!!

Hi lovely! I adore your writing style and noticed you were taking requests. This is my first request ever so if it comes off a little awkward please forgive me! 👉👈

I was hoping for a scenario where Hawks has been wondering why y/n has been skipping out on get-togethers with him for the past week or two. He gets curious enough one day that he just-so-happens to patrol the area where you run off to after you reject another date with him.

He finds out that you have been going to an outdoor avian clinic and taking classes on how to pamper/massage or preen bird wings in order to surprise Hawks for your anniversary coming up.

But not like totally before Hawks confronts you and blurting out “Have you been cheating on me with a parrot?” 😂

Thank you! I hope this all makes sense. Hugs and kisses!

Hello there!! You are so sweet! and you didn’t come off awkward at all! <3

I am so sorry I didn’t actually mean for this to become an angst fic in the beginning ;-;

but it is fluffy don’t worry!

warnings: avian Keigo (Keigo having bird like tendencies)

Also I schedule this to be a bit later than I normally post, I’ll most likely be asleep when this goes up so I just wanted to say to everyone thank you for reading!!

------

He tapped his foot against the floor of the restaurant, his patience deteriorating every second as he stared at the door.

As the fastest hero, Keigo never really had any patients for just about anything. One thing he hated more than anything was people being late, he moved fast, he wanted people to move fast with him.

All he wanted to do was go on a nice date night, have some dinner, and go home and watch a movie or something. He just wanted to spend time with you.

You normally never skipped out on dates, so why now?

He had noticed your absence in the last few weeks, more and more you would skip out on him.

The anxiety bubbling in his heart was starting to spill over, seeping into his attitude in daily life. In his head, he wondered if maybe you were trying to signal to him that you weren’t interested in dating anymore, that maybe you were just silently drifting from him. But he loved the 11 months he got to spend with you, he’d never experienced anything like it. It was fresh, new, loving, he didn’t want it to end. Those thoughts had made him feel miserable for the last week or so, but he was still confused by you. Although you skipped out on dates and such, you still acted so lovingly towards him. You would still come home and snuggle up to him, you would still run your fingers through his hair at night, you would still talk mindlessly about your day, as though nothing was remotely bothering you.

So, maybe you really were busy, perhaps he was just looking too much into the issue.

But still, getting stood up for the 4th time in a row would make anyone a bit upset.

He left the restaurant, paying for the drink he had ordered, and went on his way home.

Maybe it was a side effect of his quirk, but when he had these sorts of thoughts his wings would get all twitchy. He had done the research and found that when birds were in a high-stress situation they plucked at their feathers. The article also said that when a person that said a bird was attached to someone that abandons them, they get even more stressed and irritated. Which he supposed made sense. He would never admit it to very many people, (and if the press got a hold of it he would honestly shoot himself) but he had some bird tendencies.

Not big ones, just small ones.

He would bob his head in time with music sometimes, his pupils would dilate and contract when he was concentrating on something, he would mindlessly coo and cluck randomly as well.

Luckily, the commission taught him to control his bird-like tendencies, they told him that some of his bird traits were “off-putting”. But he really wasn’t sure what they were talking about, animal quirks weren’t uncommon, but he didn’t complain, he didn’t mind the help.

But since he’s been dating you, he found himself getting more and more of these tendencies.

A few times, he would find random shiny objects and give them to you, he acted all excited about it too, saying, “I saw it and thought that you could keep it! It’s super pretty so, I don’t know, I thought you’d think it was cool.” After he said that, you just took the objects and told him he was so adorable.

Another time, when you two were just out and about, he had seen you talk to someone with a similar bird quirk to his. He didn’t even know what came over him, but he squawked at the man, effectively freaking him and you out.

He apologized profusely after that.

There was one bird-like quality he didn’t mind all that much, and that was the preening of his feathers. It was honestly so relaxing, the dirt and dust from flying seeped into his feathers, so he always found himself soaking his wings in water and then rubbing them with a special kind of oil.

There were some days, however, were all he could do (or all he had time to do) was take a warm towel and gently rub off his feathers.

And lately, he had found himself going overboard with his preening, pulling more aggressively at his feathers, sometimes even hurting himself. He suspected that it was due to the stress of worrying about what was wrong with you (or him).

He hated all of it, loathed it even. Worse was how hard it was for him to broach the subject with you, whenever he got close he always wussed out. In his mind, even though it bothered him, he didn’t want to lose you. He was so scared that if he brought it up he would hear something he dreaded, and you two would fall apart.

He loved you so much, he wanted you to stay with him. Another bird trait he learned, some birds mated for life, and he would be lying if he said he didn’t feel that way about you. He just...he didn’t want to lose you.

There was one possibility that was the worst, and yet the most likely. You had been cheating on him.

He really didn’t want to admit it, but it all sort of added up.

You skipped out on dates so you could go out with this other person. When you would become affectionate with him could be a sign of guilt, he read about that online. And the way you wouldn’t see his texts or missed calls when he knew you were on a lunch break, maybe you were seeing someone else.

Was he a bad boyfriend? He thought that he had become better at this whole relationship stuff, maybe not perfect, but he was getting there. He knew he was hard to deal with, he wished he could be better for you, he really did. He knew he was busy a lot, tired from work, he knew he wasn't the most affectionate guy, but he wanted you, he wanted you so much it hurt.  Keigo thought that you loved him because he really loved you.

The thought of having to let you go crushed his heart crushed his spirit too. He really did care for you, he knew that you were the one for him, so the thought of you not returning that feeling hurt him.

He flew through the night sky, looking down at the lights of the city. Normally, a sight like this would have made him smile, made him feel like he was on top of the world.

But his wings just felt uncomfortable, the wind blowing through them just increased the feeling.

He just felt… done. Like the whole world felt heavy to him. Maybe he really was overthinking everything, but he couldn’t help it, he was made to be observant.

He knew he had a strange habit of over-complicating things, but it was just his nature he supposed. A trained government agent always has to look into the fine details, at least, that's what he was taught. So, with your absence, he found himself becoming more and more paranoid.

He brought it up to his side-kicks and hero friends, and they all said the same thing; he was just being paranoid. They told him that, “sometimes in relationships, things get a little rough, it happens.” But Keigo couldn’t help but hate the whole ordeal.

He sighed, flying faster to his home.

One time, he had tried to follow you on your lunch break. He supposed it was pretty stalkerish, but he was getting desperate. All he needed was reassurance, just to know if you were actually busy or if that had been a bullshit excuse. He told himself it wasn’t a huge deal, he was just making sure you were doing ok.

...ok maybe it was a bit of a breach of privacy.

He had perched himself on top of a building near your workplace. Keigo had made sure that you wouldn’t be able to see him as he followed you, keeping out of sight as best he could.

His initial thought was you would go to a coffee shop, maybe some sort of expensive restaurant if you were meeting someone.

Yet, to his surprise, he saw you scarf down a sandwich as you entered an animal clinch.

Were you cheating on him with an animal clinch employee?

He wanted to confront you then and there, but from where he was, he didn’t have any reason to.

It looked innocent enough, you were just going to an animal clinch.

He immediately felt guilty. There was no reason for him not to trust you, you had done nothing wrong in this situation. Maybe you really were working overtime and he was just overthinking everything.

He shook his head, sighing, he unfolded his wings and flew off the building he was perched on.

That was a week ago, it was after the third time you stood him up. And now, although he didn’t have any proof of you cheating, he still felt like he had a reason to confront you. He just felt sick of worrying and overthinking everything, and in all honesty, you weren’t helping the situation. Every time he asked you about it, you always came up with some sort of excuse.

He landed on his balcony with a loud thump, not caring all that much about the noise.

As he entered his home, he lifted the hem of his shirt off his head, throwing it on the floor unceremoniously. Walking over to the bathroom, he filled a special bowl full of water and made his way back over to the bed.

It was probably a bad idea to preen himself when he was so aggravated like this, but he wanted to do it, his wings felt so uncomfortable.

His right-wing raised a bit as he sat down, pulling the feathered stump closer to him.

But before he could even graze the feathers with a damp cloth he had, he heard the front door open and close.

Before he had even realized it, he was already zooming down the staircase of his luscious penthouse, knowing full well you were already inside of his home.

“Hi honey,” you slipped your shoes off, not looking at him yet. “How was your day- Oh,” he crossed his arms over his chest, he was sure his expression was one of utmost anger.

“Where were you,” his tone was irritated, his wings twitched behind him.

“I was working. Baby what's wrong,” he nearly rolled his eyes at your concerned tone.

“Don’t baby me, you stood me up,” he huffed, “again.”

He didn’t miss the sorry expression that flashed on your face, “Kei, I’m sorry, I really am. I’ve just been so busy lately. I know I haven’t been fair to you, but I’m not doing anything tomorrow! Look I’ll even make dinner for you, ok? Really, Kei, I’m ”

“Y/N,” here it came, “if your gonna break up with me, just do it already

Well, that certainly shocked you (and him if he was being honest). Your whole expression fell into one of confusion, your eyes looked up at him with genuine hurt.

“What? Keigo what are you talking about? You’re not making any sense, why would I want to break up with you?”

“I don’t know Y/N?! Why have you been avoiding me for so long!?”

You sighed, “Is that what this is all about? Well,” you pulled out some sort of form, reaching it out to him, “here, I wanted to surprise you on our anniversary, but I don’t want you to think that I’m doing something dishonest.”

He snatched the piece of paper out of your hand, maybe a bit too harshly. He looked at it and was immediately confused.

It was information on a class about… how to preen birds?

He gave you a confused look, to which you gave him a light smile, “I see how frustrating it is for you to preen them, so I wanted to help out. I saw that I could learn how and thought it would be a cute thing for us to do together.”

He stood in shock for a few moments, letting the guilt wash over him.

“I-I’m so sorry.”

You chuckled a bit, “Don’t be, it was wrong of me to leave you high and dry on dates, I just had to work overtime in order to get these classes in.”

Now, he felt twice as guilty.

This whole time he had thought you were drifting away from him, and worse, he thought you were cheating on him. He felt sick. His friends were right, he really was overthinking the whole situation. And worst of all, you were working overtime to do something so nice for him, and here he was, yelling at you.

“I-I’m so sorry, Y/N. Jesus,” he shook his head, “I’m an idiot. You were off doing something so thoughtful for me, and I was being a prick, yelling at you. I’m sorry honey. Is there something I can do to make it up to you?”

But you just chuckled, “Keigo, really, it’s ok. I should have at least done something to convince you, or rescheduled our dates. It’s ok honey, don’t feel bad.”

You moved in to give him a hug, which just happened to be the moment you realized his shirt was missing.

“Uh,” he saw your body straighten up, and your face makes a flustered expression, “why is your shirt…”

“Oh, well,” he scratched his feathers nervously, “it’s kinda funny, I was just about to preen my wings. So I have to take off my shirt in order to get the water to the back. Kind of a weird coincidence, huh.”

“Well,” you looked at him, eyes softening, “can I help?”

Keigo was sure his heart had frozen, after a moment or two, he answered, “S-sure.”

-----

You pulled a stool for him to sit on as you sat down on the bed.

Keigo wasn’t sure why, but he felt so anxious. To tell the truth, he never really had someone preen his wings before. He would always do it himself, it was an annoying effort sometimes, but the commission was very big on him looking good for the public eye.

His wings weren’t super sensitive, but the light touches of your fingers running through them felt like pure heaven to him. The sensation was like having someone giving a message, but… different. It felt nicer, more loving, more slow and nice.

The whole sensation made him shutter.

“Is this ok,” he didn’t miss the anxiety in your tone.

“Yeah,” he said, breathlessly. “Perfect, keep...keep doing that babe.”

The little pulls of his feathers relaxed him more and more, making him seep into the back of the stool he was sitting on.

When you had started to add water to the mix, he didn’t notice his cooing.

“Kei?”

“Hmm,” his mind was so far gone in the relaxation of your hands that he barely registered your voice.

“Are you cooing,” you had to suppress your smirk as his body went rigid, as well as his wings.

“I,” his face was almost as deep red as his wings, “s-sorry.”

You giggled, “Don’t apologize,” you pressed softly into the apex of some of his feathers, “if it feels good, it’s fine if you coo. I won't judge you.”

Softly, he let out a few coos, but he didn’t want to freak you out.

But soon, he realized he couldn’t keep them in, you were just doing so well.

You moved softly to grab his feather oil, “Uh, so how does this even work? Do I take a few drops and run them through each individual feather or something?”

You’ve seen him preen his wings before, but until recently you had just started to pay attention to how he exactly did them. You had noticed that the oil he used on his feathers gave a shine to the red plumage, but you had noticed he was a bit cautious with the serum.

“O-oh,” you didn’t miss the light stutter and the soft up-take of his voice, “Um, if you want you can just put a few drops in your hand and rake them through. You don’t have to do each one if you don’t want to.”

You thought for a moment, “Alright, I think I’ll just do each feather. I wanna get this right after all.”

And, honest to god, Keigo gulped.

You’ve never seen him this relaxed and yet so tense, you would have thought he was drugged. You would be lying if you didn’t enjoy it though, the way Keigo melted into you, it was weirdly adorable.

“Yeah,” he let out, “yeah ok.”

After that, it was like Keigo could barely talk.

For a moment, you considered something. When you and Keigo had started to date, you had noticed how he was a bit touch-starved. He craved affection, whether he was aware of this or not, you weren’t sure.

But it made sense, his childhood past, and plus, this was his first real relationship. You wondered if Keigo had ever been shown so decent, honest love before.

Perhaps his bird instincts also played a part in how affectionate he could be. You read once, that when male birds became attached to their mates they tended to get affectionate as well as loving. Plus, some birds preened their mates as a show of love, you wondered if what Keigo was doing was just his way of showing how happy he was with you preening him.

After you were done, Keigo’s head was light and tired. The whole experience for him felt magical, he wasn’t sure why though. He preened himself a bunch of times, why was this the first time he felt this way?

But Keigo’s head couldn’t really process the question at the moment.

“You wanna go to sleep,” you asked, bringing your hands lightly over his shoulders, kissing his forehead.

He let out a small, “Mhm,” as he stood up. You had to help him to his bed because of how wobbly he was.

After you carefully helped him into bed, you turned to go to the bathroom to wash your hands, but Keigo dragged you down.

“No,” he whined softly as you tried to get out of his grip, “cuddles.”

(You couldn’t lie, this had to be the most adorable thing you’ve ever seen him do)

He nuzzled into you, his body flushed against yours.

That’s when you heard it, the little chips. You didn’t say anything, scared that if you did he would stop. You played with his hair as he chirped into your neck, his wings shivered a bit.

You decided to ask him, “Hey, Kei.”

He hummed lightly.

“I’ve never seen you like this, does it have something to do with your bird instincts?”

Keigo thought for a moment, “Maybe,” his voice was light you noticed, “it could be. Kinda just something I experience because that’s what birds do with their...mates.”

You chuckled, running your hands through his wings again, “Maybe it’s because you're also, like, really touch starved.”

“Oh yeah, maybe. I mean,” he looked at you, like a lovesick puppy, “you are my first time in a real relationship.”

You laughed lightly, going back to lightly stroking his hair and feathers.

“Hey Y/N,” Keigo’s voice was tired, and yet, it was soft.

“Yeah honey,” you asked in an equally gooey voice.

He nuzzled in closer to you, giving you a soft, yet deep kiss, “I love you.”

I have been DYING for a good George x reader where she actually participates in the battle of the seven Harry's! THIS WAS AMAZING!!! I love the dynamic between Feed, George, and the reader SO MUCH!

George Weasley x Reader // ‘Back in no time’

They all knew what they were signing up for when they agreed to help move Harry, but George and (Y/n) had convinced themselves it wouldn’t go wrong as they squeezed each others hand in goodbye. Story takes place during and around the Battle of the Seven Potters. Hope you enjoy!

Pairing: George Weasley x female!Reader, Fred Weasley x Reader (friendship)

Word count: 3.7K

Warnings: mentions of death, blood, under age drinking

——————————

You stepped over the threshold of number four, Privet Drive, one hand still locked in with George’s. This was going to be the first thing you’d ever do for the Order, and by God, you hoped it wasn’t going to be your last.

Harry looked down at you all, slightly bewildered, wondering why there were so many of you. Mad-eye Moody cleared it all up, and started handing out the Pollyjuice. You looked up at George smirking, as he waited his turn, ‘’About to lose all that handsome, huh?’’

‘’Oh, don’t worry (Y/n), you’ll have me back in no time,’’ he said, brushing a strand of hair out of your face as you took each other’s faces in.

The past few weeks, a sadness had started growing behind both your eyes. You’d tried hiding it under jokes and grins, but reality was slowly creeping up on you, like a slow thick fog, as every morning an owl came bearing bad news. Not to mention the news that went unreported, but was noticed none the less.

Mad-Eye poured George his concoction, but before he lifted the potion to his lips, you softly pulled him towards you by his shirt, connecting your lips. The kiss, far too short, but containing so many words none of you dared say out loud.

‘’We’ll be fine,’’ he said as you broke apart. ‘’They don’t even know we’re coming.’’

This, Mad-Eye was almost certain of. Perhaps a few lonely Deatheaters, but nothing you couldn’t handle right? You clung to seven years of Hogwarts teachings and the memories at the room of requirement.

Everyone went in pairs, except for your party: Mad-Eye, questioning Mundungus’ trustworthiness, had pulled you aside two days ago at The Burrow asking you to join him, just in case. You’d agreed, wanting very much to help the cause. But looking at Mundungus now, jumpy and sweating, you felt like this was going to be a little more than just a transport.

George took the potion, and in a matter of seconds there were seven Harry’s. Fred and George started poking each other, their clothes a tad bit too large for Harry’s frame. What a sight.

You went back outside, squeezing George’s hand one more time before you took your place on your broom. Five years on the Gryffindor Quidditch team should be enough, you thought to yourself, if the need for a quick getaway would arise.

Mad-Eye appeared beside you, followed by a transformed Mundungus. ‘’Ready?’’

‘As much as I’ll ever be,’’ you answered.

I love this pairing!! Especially how you characterized both of the boys! This was super adorable!

If you are doing requests for Wednesday

Could you do ajax x reader x Xavier were there like really overprotective and something happens to reader???

Blurb — overprotecting you

xavier thorpe x gn!reader x ajax petropolus

Tysm for requesting<3! I hope you like this! feedback and reblogs are appreciated!! English isn't my first language, so let me know if there's any mistake:)

If You Are Doing Requests For Wednesday

“Cmon, they´re supposed to be here” the voices of your boyfriends can be heard from outside the nursery, where you attended immediately after an accident with your boat minutes ago.

“There you are!” ajax is the first one to see you, immediately hugging you and noticing the bandage that covers your left wrist “what happened baby?, we were so worried about you”

“We told you to not enter the poe cup!” that's the first thing xavier says, and it reminds you about the contrast your two boys make together

“Well, if you two participate each year, I didn't see a problem in doing it too, plus, it's not like you're my parents or something!” you shout back, not wanting to be the shameless victim in the situation

“Yes, but you know us, we get hurt all the time! That doesn't mean you have to do it too!”

As xavier and you continue arguing, ajax gets tired of it and interferes in the situation “Could you guys just stop? you can disagree in another moment, but no! you need to get angry in the middle of the nursery!”

And suddenly, there's an uncomfortable silence in the room, a silence broken by xavier.

“Sorry for yelling at you” he murmurs “If you really want to do something, we shouldn't stop you, we know you can take care of you”

“Yeah, you're right” you feel the stare of the boys in you, so you continue “But, I guess I'm sorry too, If I had been more careful, we wouldn't be in this situation”

“Yes, but it's ok, really, we were just… worried for you, still are, actually” xavier sits next to you, wraps you with his arm, and kisses your temple.

“That's right, we literally ran all the way here the moment we knew you were hurt” ajax takes your bruised wrist and gives it a little kiss, a kiss that you swear disappears all the pain.

“That's why I love you so much” you smile at them.

“We love you too, angel” “We love you with our entire hearts”

And for just a moment, you wish to get hurt more often.

If You Are Doing Requests For Wednesday

😢😢😢😢

He's too perfect. This was incredibly written and made my heart surge for Denki!

You Care for Me

Summary: Denki has been hiding something from his classmates, multiple somethings, actually. 1) He has a girlfriend that is in the hero course at Shiketsu High. 2) His quirk doesn't work the way that they all thought it did. 3) Said girlfriend is scary when she's pissed.

TW: Mentions of migraines, a large amount of pain, worries of abusive friendships (there are no abusive friendships, I promise). If I missed anything, please let me know.

A/N: I had a though while reading through various Injury fanfics and thought I would do one with our resident Whey Boy.

(Kaminari's POV)

"Today," Aizawa intoned, "we're having a training session with Shiketsu High."

Denki perked up at that, watching as the students strode in with their teacher.

It was hard to tell some of the students apart because of the hats and the uniforms, but Denki caught sight of her through the crowd and couldn't help but grin when she spotted him too.

She leaned over and whispered something to the kid next to her, and broke ranks, pausing to say something to her teacher before she ran for him.

He ran for her too, spinning her around when they collided halfway.

"Surprise," she whispered, clinging to him.

"Best surprise ever," he told her, squeezing her tightly as he set her down. "Why didn't you tell me you were coming?"

"I wanted to surprise you! Besides, the looks on your friends' faces are priceless," she added.

Denki looked over his shoulder to see quite a few dropped jaws and politely baffled faces.

Other than Bakugou; he looked caught between constipation and anger.

The usual then.

"God, I missed you so much," he murmured, burying his face in her neck, tightening his arms again.

Between both of their schedules, the LOV situation, and the general distance, they hadn't seen each other in months, even though they called each other like clockwork.

He had been getting touch-starved over the last few weeks when storm season rolled around because he was scared of shocking his friends. The lightning in the storms made his quirk go haywire. He adored being able to hold her without fear of zapping her.

"I've missed you too Denks," she murmured, threading her fingers through his hair.

"Kaminari, care to explain?" Aizawa asked.

"Sorry sir," he said, pulling away enough that he could keep one arm around her waist, but his classmates and teacher could see her. "This is (Y/N), my girlfriend."

"I thought Shiketsu High students couldn't be in relationships," Bakugou called.

"I was already in a relationship with Denki when we started high school, so that rule doesn't apply to me," she informed them. "That rule is only for students forming new relationships in high school." She frowned as she looked at them and said, "You weren't wrong Denki, there are an unfair amount of pretty people in your class. This is ridiculous."

"I told you so! You didn't believe me!"

"Well, I'm sorry, I don't have time to stalk your classmates on Snapchat or whatever Denks. We have training too you know," she teased. "Besides, I wasn't watching the Sports Festival to check them out, I have you for that. I was watching to see how they fought."

Denki snorted into her hair, pressing a kiss there afterwards.

"Also, it's nice to meet everyone, I've heard so much about you! I also wanted to thank you for watching after Denki for me, I know he can be an idiot sometimes, but he's an idiot that's precious to me and it gives me a little peace of mind to know that he's being protected here. So thank you!" she said, bowing slightly.

"Aww, baby!" he cried, wrapping her up in his arms again as she laughed, and he pressed quick kisses all over her face. "You're such a simp!"

"I love you, Denki, of course I want to see you safe. You know that better than anyone," she mused, tucking his hair behind his ear so she could see his face.

A small pang of regret flashed through him at the words.

He had been meaning to tell his friends, he had been, but it had never seemed like the right time, and he hadn't wanted to be a burden to them or to the rest of the school.

Besides, he had dealt with it by himself before high school. Granted, she had been around for most of it, but there had still been a few instances where he had needed to handle it by himself. He had gotten better, over the last few months, controlling it, fighting his way through it so he could help his team, his friends.

He had lied to her about that, about telling them about his issue, the backlash, but it had given her a little less to worry about.

"Are you two done, or can we get back to the training?" Aizawa asked.

"Yes sir," they both said, but she walked back with him to his spot in the class.

If Aizawa saw, or cared, he didn't show it, just went on to tell them about the training they were going to be running.

As they split up into their groups- half Shiketsu students mixed with half U.A. students- Denki realized that they were on the same team.

"We didn't plan that," her teacher told her when she asked about it. "We randomly generated these teams without any mind to interpersonal relationships or quirk compatibility. We quite literally just plugged the names into a team generator and went with that."

"Alright, you have five minutes to strategize and then the training begins," Aizawa said, walking away.

The goal of the training exercise was to get the golden egg from every other team with limited information about your team members and the members of the other teams.

Each team had a 'home base' that consisted of a city apartment building. The egg could be hidden anywhere in the home base, but it couldn't leave unless it was stolen by another team. The team that had the most eggs in their home base at the end won.

The goal was to grab as many eggs as possible, keep the building damage and civilian casualties to a minimum, while also cooperating with your team to the best of your abilities.

"Ready baby?" he asked, squeezing her hand as the counter ticked down.

"With you by my side?" she inquired, squeezing back. "Always."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Your POV)
So far, you and your team were off to a pretty good start. You had gotten lucky with the people that had been placed on your team.
Four were good at defending, so they were in charge of protecting the egg with some extra help from your quirk. Two were good at recon and stealth, and you had sent them on ahead to scout out your opponents and to see if they could steal an egg or two without anyone noticing that it was gone. Two were good long range, so they were your cover and the distraction. That left you and Denki on the 'Capture Squad' as Denki had dubbed it.
Denki had been giving you the rundown of how his classmates fought, who was better on the offensive, who was better as defense and who was going to wait in the shadows and sneak in.
You could already hear Bakugou shouting, though whether it was in outrage or it was just his usual battle-cry, you weren't entirely sure.
A building collapsed somewhere off to your left and you winced. That was definitely going to cost someone some points.
"Alright, team B is fighting with Team A and team D is heading towards team A's home base. We're in the clear for now," one of you classmates told you over the earpieces that they had given you. "We also snagged the eggs from teams D and B."
"Okay, so that leaves team A," you mused. "Locations?"
"Team A is currently at team B's location, but a majority of their fighters stayed back to protect the egg. Team D is now leaving A's location with the egg. They're roughly 60 meters to your right."
"Okay, that's fine. Let's go Denki," you said, "keep us updated."
"Will do."
"You're so cute when you lead like that," Denki teased as you both headed for team D's location.
"Shut up," you groaned, but you smiled at him as you both took to the roof tops. "It's been ingrained into us at this point."
You helped him onto the roof and pointed to Team D's location.
"Are we doing what I think we're doing?" Denki asked, giving you a grin.
"Probably," you mused. "Do you remember when we used to throw water balloons off the roof of the school?"
"Of course I do," Denki grinned. "Do you remember when we hit Mr. Yasuki and his toupee fell off?"
"Oh my god, I thought we were dead for sure. He didn't even realize that it was us!"
Denki grinned and kissed you quickly.
"We're doing something similar here, and I have an idea," you said. "I've been working on my density control, and I think we can fill up little spheres with your electricity and drop them like stun bombs."
"I have a better idea," Denki said, pointing his shooter at them. "They stick," he explained when your eyes went wide.
None of the team members noticed when they stuck to their clothes, and Denki pointed took aim.
Just like that, a whole team of six down for the count.
"I got this next part Denks," you told him, forming a cup big enough for the egg.
You had gotten way better at maneuvering your energy fields around and it certainly helped this time.
"Beautiful, have I ever told you how much I love you?" Denki asked as you scooped the egg up and floated it over.
"You have three minutes left!" Aizawa called over the communication lines.
"Okay, let's get this egg back to the base, and then it's a win for us."
"Let's hurry, Bakugou and some of the others don't take too kindly to losing," Denki said.
"Well, neither do I," you muttered. "I'll take the egg, you cover me?"
"I love protecting you baby, you know that," he cooed.
"Cheese ball," you teased.
"Oh no you fucking don't!" someone roared, and you ducked just quick enough to dodge the hand that had moved to grab at the neck of your suit.
"Get down!" Denki shouted.
"Don't!" you cried, but it was too late, he was already discharging, and you threw up a shield right before it reached you. His friends fell to the ground, twitching and groaning, some more than others, and you raced for him.
"Denki," you whispered, "Denki if you can hear me, blink really hard."
He blinked and you sighed, taking his hands in your gently.
"Can you follow me Denks?" you asked gently. "Baby, I need you to follow me, alright?"
Denki nodded; one hand wrapped around yours while the other did that stupid thumbs up that he did.
"You told me you would stop doing shit like that baby," you said, encasing the egg in a shield, and the throwing one around Denki and yourself. "We need to get this over with so I can get you out of here."
Denki made a small 'whey' noise and you shushed him.
"It's okay baby, don't try to talk yet, you'll just hurt yourself," you told him softly.
After frying his own brain, Denki's senses were very sensitive. He didn't take well to loud noises, unfamiliar people touching him, and he got such bad headaches after that being under fluorescent lights was like someone shining the sun in his eyes.
"Just a little further Denki, I promise," you murmured, running your thumb over his knuckles.
As soon as the egg touched your 'nest' a siren went off, announcing your team as the winners, and you winced.
"Come on, I need to get you out of here," you murmured, taking Denki's other hand in yours.
"You can't leave yet," Aizawa said.
"I need to get him out of here," you said. "He reached his limits. Easy Denks, easy," you murmured when he tried to talk again. He swayed dangerously and you wrapped an arm around his waist, tossing one of his over your shoulders to help keep him upright.
"He's never needed to leave before."
"He always needs to get out of place like this, after overexerting his quirk his nervous system goes into overdrive while his brain reboots. It's always been like that, ever since we were kids. He said that-"
You stopped short at a realization.
"You didn't tell them what it does to you," you said to Denki, who made another small noise. "You didn't tell them?"
Denki squeezed your hand, a message he had come up with the first couple of times that it had happened.
"It's not okay Denki, they should know what it does to you! I thought they were taking care of you after you overcharge, but they don't even know about the migraines or your other senses, do they?"
Another longer squeeze.
"I am so mad at you right now," you hissed, turning your attention to Aizawa. "He can't be here, so I'm going to take him to Recovery Girl, and if anyone tries to stop me so help me . . . ."
Aizawa seemed to think it over for a moment before he nodded.
"Come on Denks, these lights must be killing your head," you murmured. "Not to mention the yelling." You cut a glare at Bakugou, who started shouting louder. "That's it, baby, follow me."
Denki didn't argue with you, and you could tell that his head was hurting less as you took him down the darker corridors.
"You didn't have to lie to me baby," you murmured, cupping his face as you pulled him into a small, dark classroom. "I would have understood if you had wanted to only tell your teachers, but you didn't even tell them. They're here to help you Denki, to teach you. If they had known, they might've been able to help with it. You didn't have to go through it alone."
Your heart broke a little for Denki. You had always known that he had thought of himself as a burden when he went past his limits. You were worried that he didn't trust his friends enough to tell them. You wondered if they were really his friends.
Denki was a social creature; it was something you had envied about him before you had gotten to know him. Denki didn't do too well with too much time to himself. He needed to be around other people to keep his thoughts away from things that turned him towards dark corners of his mind.
If he had thought that his overexerting himself would make his so-called friends like him any less, then he wouldn't have told them a single thing, and he clearly hadn't, because you had caught Jirou laughing at him when you had tried to lead him away.
"Baby, I love you, and it is totally and completely your decision whether you want to tell them the rest or not, but I really think that you should, after you've rested. But if you tell me that you think it's better if they don't know, I'll accept your decision. I won't be happy about it, but I'll accept it and I promise that I won't press about it anymore.
"I just want you to be safe, Denks, and I hate seeing you in pain like this. I can't always be around to get you out of situations like this one. It sucks so badly, but I know that you hate it when I coddle you. But it's because I care, Denks, I care about you, a lot, and it's nice to know that I'm able to take care of you. It's not a burden on me to take care of you, and it's not something your friends should see as a burden either."
You threaded your fingers through his hair, leaning your forehead against his.
Denki had always preferred coming to with you around, it was comforting to have someone he trusted right there with him to help him get reoriented.
"I'm sorry," he murmured, though with how incognizant he still was, it sounded more like 'Msurry'.
"It's okay baby," you told him. "Now show me the way to the nurse's office, because I'm just now realizing that I don't know where it is."
Denki was at the point where he could lead himself, but his balance was off, and you were sure that he still had a horrible headache and that he would start getting jittery again.
"What happened?" Recovery Girl asked.
"He overexerted himself, ma'am," you explained, helping Denki climb into a bed softly. "I'll be back shortly, I promise."
You kissed him on the forehead and led her away from the bed where he was resting.
"His nervous system always goes into overdrive when he goes past his limits," you explained softly. "His head feels like it's splitting open, his balance gets thrown out of whack, and people he doesn't trust touching him throws him into a panic attack. Loud noises make it worse. He's pretty cognizant right now, but everything still seems like too much at the moment."
"How do you know so much about this?" she inquired.
You were glad that it wasn't the skepticism you were used to, rather just curiosity as to how you had acquired the knowledge.
"We had a friend how could feel others' pain, and act like a link between two people. Denki overexerted himself one day, and she touched him, then I touched her when I tried to help, because she passed out. I felt everything."
"I'll get him some pain meds," she said, "I can't do much other than that."
"Some extra strength Tylenol should do the trick right now," you told her. "He's started learning how to regain function faster and faster recently, but there are still some symptoms that he can't fully control."
You headed back over as she shuffled away and laid down on Denki's chest.
He had always told you that someone doing that for him made him feel more anchored, grounded and in control.
"Hey," you whispered. "How are ya feeling?"
"Like I got hit by a truck," he admitted. When it came to things like this, he was much more open with you than he was with his other friends, though that might have been because his other friends didn't know that what overexerting himself did.
He buried his face in your hair and took a deep breath, steadying himself.
"I thought you were going to rip someone's head off," Denki slurred. "You were so pissed."
"I thought they knew," you defended. "Had I known they were ignorant about it I wouldn't have reacted that way."
"I'm sorry."
"You don't need to be sorry Denki," you told him gently. "It is up to you who you tell, but there are some people that need to know. Your teachers, for one thing. I spilled some of the beans, but you might want to tell them the rest of it before they start trying to piece it together on their own and make the wrong assumptions."
Denki hummed, and his breathing was evening out.
"Go to sleep Denks," you murmured, kissing his neck softly. "I'll be here when you wake up."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

(Kaminari's POV)

Denki woke up to a heavy weight on his chest, and the sounds of muffled voices.

"Shut up!" someone hissed, and Denki winced.

Between the volume of their voices and the fact that Denki's head still felt like it was stuffed with cotton, he felt like shit.

"Shuddup," he grumbled, burying his face in her hair, like that would drown out the noise before he realized that there were other people in the room. "What are you guys doing in here?"

He tried to sit up but (Y/F/N) was still laying on his chest, arm draped over his waist.

She remembered, he though giddily, she remembered how much it helps.

She had always been open-minded about taking care of him, but he figured that she would've forgotten after not being in the same vicinity as each other for a few months.

He kissed the top of her head and relaxed back into the bed, wrapping his arms around her back, running a palm up the length of her spine and back down again.

"We came to check on you of course!" Mina cried and Denki cringed so badly he was surprised he didn't pull a muscle. "Sorry," she whispered. "But your girlfriend scared the shit out of us earlier!"

"What did she say earlier? I wasn't completely conscious for the whole thing," he admitted quietly. "I know she told you some of how my brain works when it's fried."

"Meaning it doesn't work at all," Bakugou grumbled. "And that your nervous works too much. Why didn't you tell us?"

"I didn't want to be a burden on you all, besides, I was learning how to deal with it."

"By being a masochist and making yourself go to class and deal with the lights? And Bakugou?" Kirishima said, making Denki laugh lightly. "Kami, if we had known, we would've helped."

"Yeah, we would've acted so much differently."

"It's not a big deal," Denki said.

"Liar," (Y/F/N) mumbled, pushing herself off his chest. "Your head feels like it's stuffed with cotton, it hurts to keep your eyes open, your skull feels like it's about to split down the middle, and you feel like there are ants crawling all over your skin."

Denki sighed, rolling his eyes, then regretted the movement when his head throbbed, and his stomach rolled in response.

"Told you so," she said, covering his eyes with a hand. "Better?"

He nodded as she laughed softly, her other hand smoothing out his hair.

"Are you going to tell them?" she asked quietly, all of her attention on him. "Because I can kick them out otherwise."

They both ignored the noises that his friends made to voice their displeasure about that plan.

"It's fine, they'll find out eventually, right?" Denki said.

He explained as best as he could, and you reworded it when they clearly didn't understand what he was trying to tell them.

"Kami, why didn't you tell us?"

They all looked so hurt that he almost felt guilty that he had kept it from them for so long.

"I didn't think it was a big deal," he said.

"No, you didn't want to bother them with it," you retorted. "And you should have told them whether you wanted to bother them or not, because it shouldn't matter either way. It's like when Bakugou uses his explosions too much without his gauntlets, or when Midoriya uses his quirk past what he can handle, and you see them doing it all the time. Why would you be any different, Denks?"

"She's right bro, it doesn't affect the way we see you in a negative way," Kirishima chimed in.

"So how does it affect the way you see him?" (Y/F/N) inquired, a quiet warning tone evident in her voice.

"Denks, the fact that you're about to fight your way through something like that and still be a student here is astounding," Kirishima said simply, seemingly ignoring the threat his girlfriend posed despite her usual friendly nature.

"Yeah man," Sero added, "I wish I could do that."

"We knew you were awesome, Kami, but this is a whole new level!" Mina piped up, though she did remember to keep her voice lowered so she wouldn't hurt him anymore than he already was.

(Y/F/N) relaxed at his side, a small smile playing on her lips as his eyes met hers.

"I like them a little more now," she whispered to him, making him grin.

"Also, how the hell could you keep the fact that you have a girlfriend a secret from us?" Mina demanded; arms crossed over her chest as she pouted.

"Well . . . you never asked?" he said, phrasing it like a question. "And honestly, I knew that if I introduced you to each other, she was going to pull something like this, and I wanted to wait before that happened, just to make sure there wasn't any murder committed."

"I take my job as your girlfriend seriously, Denks, and you have a bad habit of making friends with pretty much anyone you come across, even when they don't deserve it. Like Mineta, for one example. Or that guy could see through people's clothes."

"Yeah, that was a bad idea on my part," Denki admitted.

"We thought you had a thing for Jirou."

"Denki is just naturally flirty," (Y/F/N) said. "He likes making people smile, likes making them feel special. It made me uncomfortable at first, but then I noticed that when he did it with me it was different, more personal and less shitty pick-up lines. It doesn't bother me anymore, and the girls he flirts with usually need the confidence boost, so who am I to stop him?"

Denki smiled, burying his face in her shoulder as she threaded her fingers through his hair, scraping at his scalp lightly, and he had to resist the urge to purr.

"Well, at least we know she isn't gonna hurt him," Sero muttered.

"I would rather let Bakugou blow my limbs off," she agreed, no hesitation in her tone, which was calm and sincere.

"Please don't," Denki murmured, eyes heavy.

"Alright, everyone out," (Y/F/N) ordered. "He needs more sleep. And some goddamn peace and quiet, which won't happen with you delinquents in here distracting him. Out, out."

There must've been something in her eyes, because all of his friends, even Bakugou, shuffled out of the room with quick goodbyes and promises to check on him later.

Denki relaxed into the bed.

He felt better than he had in months, despite the pain. He felt free, and he was far less anxious.

"Feel better now that you've told them?" his girlfriend inquired, settling back down on his chest, looking up at him smugly.

"I get it, I get it, you were right," he grumbled half-heartedly.

"When am I not?" she asked, grinning.

"I do have to thank you though," Denki admitted.

"For what?" she asked, bewildered.

"For taking care of me."

"Baby, you don't have to thank me for that," she murmured, pressing a quick kiss to the skin above his heart. "That's what this relationship is. Mutual care, comfort, love, and support. I love that you trust me enough to take care of you, and it doesn't ever feel like a burden to me. I won't leave because of something like this, Denks, everyone has their limits. I don't think any less of you for this, you know that, right?"

"Of course I do, but it's still nice. And I'm grateful that you do it for me."

"I know," she assured gently, cupping one cheek while she ran her other hand through his hair. "Go to sleep Denks, I'll be here when you wake up."

"Promise?"

"I promise."

Denki wasted no time shutting his eyes, because she had never broken a promise to him, and he trusted her.
