From the start, Kayneth had been shaped by the hands of others. Born the prodigy heir to the Archibald family, regardless of what his soul wished, everyone around him pushed him toward the path of a mage. That, perhaps, was the nature of the issue. Stripped to his core, he had become Galatea, made by the hands of those who wished to have something to love.

If he had seen himself in the same way, then maybe he would've fought harder for himself.

Now, in this colorless position, everything was numb- not in a terrible way, but ... it was as if he was back at square one. Really, he was. ⎛ Something told him that he should seek out more color, because his body was a canvas and no artist would want to leave it blank- ⎠

The first color he encounters is a seafoam green- there's something peaceful about the color, and it draws him in. He reaches a hand out ⎛ pale like marble, the lovely Galatea that he had always been! ⎠ and offers a smile ⎛ that doesn't quite reach his eyes, because the goddess hasn't answered the prayers yet. The person who would've asked for his favor is ... Kayneth thinks of dark hair and gold eyes. On any other day, he might be surprised that he doesn't first think of crimson ⎠.

a basic overview of kayneth el melloi archibald

the most notable mage of his generation, kayneth is a proud nobleman and an incredibly talented artist on top of his mage's accomplishments! at 28, he is a master of at least five areas of magecraft and he is a top rated lecturer of spiritual evocation at clocktower. at least ... he was, before being pulled into the fourth holy grail was ⎛ with lancer diarmuid as his servant ⎠ and then getting noclipped from there into spirale.

as of his arrival 9/5/24, kayneth doesn't have the ability to perform most of his magecraft, but is still capable of the illusion craft that he used to conceal his presence and alter his voice. he also has his mystic code, volumen hydragyrum, but he can't use it yet. it's just there. he currently lives in fibonacci ward.

where does he hang out? and what does he do?

his current place of residence, kayneth, as a talented artist and rather charismatic nobleman, quickly made connections and likes to spend his time at the high roller, where he's scouting out an area to set up his own art gallery! if he's not there, he's either at home resting or he's at another ward!

cotes

a scholar as well as an artist, kayneth loves to go to the great library! which is the place he usually sticks to in cotes because kayneth grew up an avid believer of the seelie and unseelie courts and he knows not to mess with the fae- which cotes seems to be full of! he is well aware how to properly interact with the courts if it comes to that, but he'd prefer it not.

golden

kay's going to be at the university. he is a lecturer at clocktower and he'd be willing to teach an art class or two at the university if a professor is needed! otherwise he might see what's going on at the beach here and there.

archimedes

another place with an art museum? kayneth loves spending time at the tempus museum, and if he's not there, then he's at the theater or wandering the star trail.

He's never been fond of others telling him what he should or shouldn't do- but it seemed to happen over and over again, whether he wanted it or not. At least, this time, it wasn't about some magecraft related thing ⎛ he had spent far too long pretending to actually care- so much so that he had made a name for himself as a top rate professor; he served as Lord of the Mineralogy department, and all he had ever wanted was to leave all of that behind... If he'd been able to fight his way through the war, wouldn't he have gotten his wish? ⎠

As an artist, Kayneth was naturally curious of the world around him, and when he was curious, he took notes. Or sketched- especially freed of the watchful eyes of the Mage's Association, sketching had been his primary method of understanding, of recording and learning- but maybe getting caught sketching people who walked by wasn't ... He couldn't think of any reason sketching others wouldn't be socially acceptable. ❝ It is only a sketch- ❞
