Hataraku Maou-sama AUs (Lucifer related)

1. In which Lailah was able to find Lucifer in the Demon World (not long after he managed to leave the Satanasarc) and brings him along in her travels around Ente Isla scattering the Yesod. She talks to him about the past, so even if his memories are fuzzy about it, he gradually remembers some stuff. She meets and marries Nord and when Emilia was born, Lucifer becomes her older brother. After Lailah left to lure the angels away from Emilia and Nord, Lucifer stays to help Nord and raise Emilia. 

When the Church came to take Emilia away, Lucifer protests and they find out he’s a demon. A fight ensues and he would have been killed by the Church but Emilia said that if they kill him, she won’t cooperate at all. So both of them are taken by the Church and Lucifer becomes the “hostage” to force Emilia’s cooperation. They get separated at some point when Emilia started her journey to liberate Ente Isla but get reunited in Volume 1 when Olba decides to use Lucifer to kill Emilia and Maou.

2. In which after the events of Volume 18, Sataniel “attacks” the boat Lailah and Lucifer are in, puts Lucifer to sleep and takes him away. His motivations for doing so would be finding out that his wife, Ignora, is not the true enemy, but the Sephirah. He doesn’t want his son to fight against his wife. Lucifer could have left, but wants to spend time with the father he thought had died (not to mention Sataniel truly loved him, taught him how to do chores patiently, unlike Ashiya who just scolds him, and praises him for things he does right, again unlike the rest of the cast who just doesn’t appreciate him) 

Maou and the others find out from Lailah what happens later, but they don’t know who is responsible for it. For a while, they even contemplate if they can even spare the time to look for Lucifer, until they find out from Kinanah’s ramblings that Lucifer is essential to their plan. Eventually, they will find Sataniel and Lucifer and Maou and Sataniel will fight each other to decide if they should continue their plan of the Battle to Defeat God

3. Similar to number 2, except Lucifer loses his memories from after “Sataniel’s death”. This is due to the fact that his mind was so overwhelmed by the past memories that he forgets the present ones. So after Maou and the others do find him, he doesn’t remember them at all. It becomes a problem of how they can get Lucifer to cooperate when they are essentially strangers to him (and Sataniel won’t allow them, obviously)

4. In which Sataniel receives reports of a demon general looking suspiciously like his son getting killed in the western continent. He goes there after the liberation of the western continent, at least to find a body, only to find that Lucifer was still alive, imprisoned and getting tortured. He saves Lucifer and any surviving demons (the demons were sent to the central continent). Sataniel takes Lucifer to his home in the northern continent where he is raising sheep. Lucifer takes a long time to heal, both mentally and physically and slowly regains memories of his past as he spends more time with Sataniel. He never goes to Japan, spending those 2 years+ in Ente Isla, only meeting Maou and the rest during the events of volume 16.

Lucifer no longer sees Maou as his king. Sataniel bears a grudge against Maou for pushing his son into a war and Emilia for almost killing him.

Hataraku Maou-sama Theories and Headcanons (spoilers for Volume 17 onwards)

So this was posted on MokoChan_314 (Livejournal), but since it’s not widely shared, I’ll post it here as well. Moko and I thought all of these up together. I would love to discuss any of these things with you guys!

There are a lot of them, but actually all these theories and headcanons revolve mainly around the angels because I love their story so much. So much dark drama.

For those who do not know…the angels mentioned in the series so far.

Gabriel: First gen angel. Was a mercenary handling security in his old planet. Ignora: Fake God. Scientist in her old planet, Lailah’s boss(?). Mother of Lucifer, wife of Sataniel. Kamael: Generation unknown. Was most likely a scientist in his old planet. Lailah: First gen angel. Was a doctor in her old planet. Mother of Emilia. Raguel: Second gen angel, occupation in old planet unknown Sariel: Second gen angel, was a lawyer in his old planet. Brought Kael and Shakeenah (Yesod and Malkuth respectively) to the research facility to aid the humans in their research for a cure. Sataniel: Ancient Demon King. Scientist in his old planet. Father of Lucifer, husband of Ignora.
