Funguary 2024 Day 25

🪬 Week 4: Cryptic 🐕 Mutinus caninus aka Dog stinkhorn

ID Start. Purple background. In the center is a dark-skinned male demon with pointed ears. The whites of his eyes are red, the pupils are narrow and black. The hair is smooth and black. There is a mustache and a beard. On the head there are horns resembling these mushrooms (orange with black head). He is wearing a red shirt with a black scarf, with a bright orange jacket with a yellow stripe on top. On the nose is a pince-nez. ID end.

He/him

A werewolf demon who can transform into a dog. He is intelligent, but sometimes his animal nature can take over. Also, like all Phallaceae, he is stinks, probably because of his horns.

I hope I can portray someone else from this family next time, they are all so weird.

Funguary 2024 Day 23

🪬 Week 4: Cryptic 🫂 Mycorrhizal network

ID Start. Purple background. In the center is a girl hugging a man. They look at each other with a smile. The girl has light brown hair, braided into two low ponytails. She has large brown eyes with heart-shaped highlights. She is wearing a beige sweater with short arms and yellow cuffs and a brown vest. The man has short, combed light brown hair. He has green eyes and wrinkles on his face. He has a small beard. Dressed in a light green shirt and a brown suit. Light threads come out of the girl’s hand, symbolizing the mycelium. ID end.

He found her when she was just a baby, and since then he has taken care of her as if he were his own daughter. In grateful she also helps him at work and at home. All in all, a nice family.

This is not the humanization of the mycelium itself, but the humanization of the mycorrhiza process. As you might guess, the man symbolizes a tree, and the girl symbolizes a mushroom. This time she does not symbolize any specific mushroom (although its colors are taken from the reference, which, apparently, is drawn by Porcini)

I don't know who to mention, but I'll just say that my favorite colors are dark purple and black (and a combination of black and red).
