Eddie: Dad, mom? Why y'all look so young?
Jerome: WTF, WHO ARE YOU?!!!
Carla: Did you just call us mom and dad? This is sick, and why you look so much like me and this crybaby?
Eddie: Because I'm your son, I just don't understand how I ended up in the past but I am your son in the future.
Jerome: Jeez, what the hell?
Carla: No, I'm sure as hell if I were to marry someone, it wouldn't be this....this..crybaby! And I wouldn't have any children.

Definitely canon. I think it was unpleasant for Jerome and Carla at the age of five to find out that they would one day become a couple. However, there is only one step from hatred to love (of course, not one)
