Headcannons (Huzzah!)

Ms. Laughingstock is actually THE BEST secret keeper because she hears 100% of the crews conversations and is always aware of what they're doing (she's not eaves dropping it's just, you know, she's literally the ship it'd all be kinda hard to tune out), and just never tells a soul a thing she knows. Snitches get stitches.

Ms. Laughingstock has to actually want to move and let someone steer her to sail. Like, if she wanted she could just stop dead in her tracks and no one could do a thing. She's also the only one Poppy really listens to and has reprimanded him for shit in the past.

At one point Horace tried to steal Ms. Laughingstock to sail as his own ship but because that was sort of impossible for reasons listed above, he couldn't. He was really salty afterwards and had the bow of the Rubber Fishes ship reconstructed to look like a face so he could say "Fuck you my ship has a better face than yours anyways!" Weird salty over the top bastard I love him.

Janice runs full speed into Ms. Laughingstock's mass to hug it and by extension hug her. Credit to @inflashback for this but if you put your ear up to the Laughingstock's walls you can hear a faint heartbeat, and it's an odd comfort to Janice at night. Also credit to them for parts of the ship being referred to as anatomical parts like the lower deck being called the guts. Ms. Laughingstock deserves funky anatomy she's a talking ship.

It's a running gag that absolutely no one likes Joey Short-legs. Like, with the rest of the Rubber Fishes Horace is actually one of those villains who genuinely cares for his underlings (they're weirdos but they're his weirdos). But Joey? No one fucking likes Joey. Phillips is nice to him but it's cuz he feels bad. It's also a running gaga that whenever he opens his mouth in the show the most fucked up and mortally dreadful thing comes out to the point even Skin-taker is like "You know, you're kind of a bummer."

Absolutely no one on the Rubber Fishes crew likes Skin-taker, they all just put up with him for Horace. He fills them with as much fear and dread as he does the Laughingstock Crew but like, they can't do anything to escape him they're a captive audience. Sunny especially hates him.

*Points to Sunny* That is Horace's adopted goth daughter who used to be a cowboy before pirate life no I don't take criticism.

All of Janice's clothes are hand me downs from Melrose and because they don't get new ones all that often Melrose just taught Janice how to sew and repair clothes herself (though she's not that good at it).

Percy usually cuts Janice's hair since he's the one more skilled with knives but sometimes his hands are too shaky so Milo does it and it's always just "Milo: Damn I messed up we gotta go bald, Janice: AAA-"

Auburn ends up with fire magic while on her path for revenge against Red Mary and.....that brings about A LOT of turmoil to say the least.

Skin-taker is scarily flexible. It's...genuinely ridiculous a lot of the time he just bends into shapes that would break any normal human's spine without a care in the world.

Hooded Hans is a shape shifter! Goopy fella!

Janice, Nathan, and Percy are all siblings. You cannot convince me otherwise.

Shipping in the Candle Cove can be wild-

I remember when Milo X Percy was popular, dark days indeed, and in wiki comments had some ... Interesting ship ideas.

Ones like Horace X Skin-Taker and any of the characters x Percy are so obvious (Percy seems like the character that gets shipped with everyone) but I'm sure there's a hook.

And then there's my OTP who have likely never met and if they have, never actually interacted but I hate Milo and Sariah deserves better so I ship her with Sunny anyway.
