Seeing the voice actor of one of the only canon aroace characters in media, one from such a popular series, celebrating aro week and boosting aros, is the greatest feeling in the world. Makes me a little weepy.

I can't keep being fundamentally changed as a person by animated movies, it's just not sustainable.

it's actually so personal to me that during "done for", circe tells odysseus:

"my nymphs are like my daughters i protect them at all costs the last time we let strangers live we faced a heavy loss"

and that's something he can relate to, because it was the decision to let polyphemus live that caused poseidon to avenge his son and kill almost all of odysseus' men

so you can almost say that circe has already embraced the idea that "ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves", and she's not willing to give strangers the chance to hurt her and her nymphs even again
