With a quiet hum, Elijah turned over in his bed to face the android over him. Of course, there she was, coming to check on him. He almost couldn’t imagine what he would do without her anymore. His greatest creation - his Chloe. 

“Yes... I am,” with an exhale of a sigh, he slowly pushed to sit up, pushing his hair to the opposite side over his shoulder as he looked up at her, “I know I went to sleep late, but... My insomnia is not giving me any breaks tonight. I finished an entire 300 page novel before I gave up trying to wear myself out.”

Elijah ran his hand through his hair again and just looked up towards the ceiling of the dark room. It had been late when he tried to sleep the first time, but he was sure the sun was starting to peek over the horizon past the shade over the window. He could try and lay down again, but would it even make a difference? Part of him figured he should just get up and start the day, but his body just felt so drained.

The difference with what Elijah was like in the past and what he's like in the present is the isolation. Even if between the CyberLife interview and Meet Kamski he seems like the same person, there are always those subtle changes that show he isn't. The mask he wears slips a few times, I've talked about it before. The one constant is that he believes his creations are made for so much more than what their function is. Everything the androids become after he leads is just proof. You have the Traci models, the American android act that forbids they carry weapons and identify themselves at all times, and the fact they are treated like disposable items.

Elijah keeps Chloe and the ST200s around as a sort of middle finger to the world that they aren't meant to be used, abused, and trashed. They are superior to that. And with the revolution, they have a chance to prove that.
