Jimin Fashion Film with Elle Korea ♡

happy birthday to the most relatable cutie, jimin 🥰 (insp.) (cr. jung-koook, qdeoks, namuspromised. transl cr. taee, bts-trans)
Maybe I'm delulu but I always wondered if this moment (Jimin saying that his parents made him seaweed soup for his birthday and JK's saying that he also went to his parents' house and that they made him seaweed soup for Jimin's birthday) was JK secretly saying that he was with Jimin, not that his (JK's) parents made him soup. I wondered if JK considers Jimin's parents to be like his own parents. To me, that's actually more believable than JK's mom making him seaweed soup for Jimin's birthday. Of course we can't know for sure, but it just seemed like a strange thing for JK's mom to do, but JK spending Jimin's birthday with him and Jimin's family seemed more plausible.

Which I could do more for you then just go

I tend to think it was what they said and that JKs parents made Seaweed soup as well. But who knows. Lol

Hi! I would love to see a compilation of Taehyung’s rainbow-y moments ☺️😊🌈
Love your blog btw 😊
Hello!! Thank you.
Yes we can absolutely do Rainbow moments for Tae! Such an angel, that man. Again, none of this is saying that he IS a part of the LGBTQ+ community or what I think his sexuality is exactly. This is just a compilation of moments that hint at the possibility of him being part of the community. At the very least, a very good ally. Simply moments that stood out to me personally. I'm sure I will miss some, there is a lot of content out there. Lol
Tae's Rainbow Moments:
To start, he has worn LGBTQ pride merch. Including this pride jersey and the Gucci pride UFO and on his phone case as well:

His solo songs, especially Stigma, have long been suspected of having significant queer coding in the lyrics and have resonated quite significantly with the LGBTQIA+ community. He has never explained the meaning behind the song Stigma at all either, the only thing we got was RM during a vlive telling us that Tae wrote the song himself and it was very personal to him. That RM wouldn't share the reasoning, Tae would have to do that himself if he wanted

He openly admires, starts friendships with and looks up to many openly queer artists, including talking about how he doesn't just like Gucci clothes but admires the man behind the magic so to say, Alessandro Michele, the creative director of Gucci. He has spoken about how much he admires him, Alessandro is also openly gay. He has recommended Honey by Kehlani on his Playlist. He has formed friendships with Ante Badzim, even created his photography name "Vante" based off his work, talking about how he admires him a lot and looks up to him.

And has spoken about admiring and enjoying Ryan McGinley as an artist. Expressing how happy and natural the people in his photos look. McGinley is a nude in nature type photographer. You can and should look up his work if you haven't seen it, he is very talented. He often has solo people in his shoots, but has done plenty with pairings, including LGBTQ ones. Tae even used his photos for inspiration in his own work, which we know because Jimin was his model, and he apparently just has those photos of Jimin casually on hand to be able to threaten him with posting them if doesn't upload the video of him acting cute like Tae wanted him to 🤣

In 2014 in a log, he fanboys hard over his Sunbaenim K Will who was in the waiting room next to them during a show. It was adorable. K Will had quite the love story plot twist in his music video where it turns out he was not jealous of his friends relationship because he liked the girl.... but because he liked the guy, his friend. It was subtle, but it was also quite a statement to be made for those who paid attention to it and made the obvious connections. The most obvious one being when he put their photos together at the end
In 4 o'clock, the song he wrote and composed with RM, they mention Moonlight in the lyrics. He also wrote this song from inspiration from when he met up with Jimin, drunk, at 4am to make up after their fight. This was meaningful to Tae, and TaeJoon sang it together in the 2017 prom party for us. So sweet and special.

He also talked about how much he liked and enjoyed the movie Call Me By Your Name which is a gay coming of age story, calling it his favorite movie. I personally haven't seen the movie, but I have read the book. It is quite explicit and is 100% focused on a figuring out who you are and falling in love deeply type of romance between a young man and an older man he falls for. You can find that on the Vhope vlive they did
He has openly been enthusiastic about his fanboys even agreeing to a date with one when they said they loved him and wanted to date him. During the clip of Jin accidently hitting a fan during a fansign, Tae slips and calls her his husband before correcting to wife. Lol

His "No boyfriend, no problem" dubsmash video lmfaoo

Talking about how one of his precious memories pre BTS was when he did a drag competition in school and was very good at it. Which goes hand in hand with him SLAYING it dancing in heels with all the sass, including at the end, dancing with the group of queer dancers in his heels and loving life

Let's not forget about the time where he got drunk, posted tons of crazy photos, including ones where he was crashing into bed and then kissing his Jimin plush doll goodnight many times

At a concert, fans were holding up a sign that said LGBT loves BTS sign, and Tae saw it and was visibly touched, placing his hand over his heart, tapping it a couple times and nodding and smiling to those fans

Not to mention all the roleplaying and fake acting he does with Jimin where they have played gay lovers breaking up or anything else. His general mannerisms that are sometimes a little *extra* and just generally not caring if the things he does looks "gay." He doesn't mind if you think what you think. He doesn't mind being perceived that way.
This is all I can currently think of at the moment. There is probably more. Lol again, none of this proves what his sexuality is. And it shouldn't really matter. There is a whole spectrum he could Land on here. Lol this isn't me saying yes he is for sure LGBTQ, this is just saying, it's easy to think he could be and here is a collection of moments that hint to WHY people think that he could be. It's definitely possible! Tae is such a sweetheart and so special. In the end, no matter who he loves, I just want him to be cherished and hope he is happy and loved!
Thanks for the ask!
About G.C.F in Tokyo
I see G.C.F in Tokyo being discussed once again. Honestly this video is such an onion experience, there always seems to be a new layer to peel back. I have felt like saying something about it for some time now but I kinda felt like it wasn’t my place.
I love visual storytelling and I love talking about it, obviously. But how could I express my thoughts about what I think I’m seeing without coming across like I’m saying Jungkook meant it like that way? Idols already get their words and actions continuously twisted to suit fandom wants and needs and I didn’t want to pile on.
But, it seems JK brought up and talked about the video in a recent vlive so I’m assuming he wants people discussing it. I can do that and I will. But, once more for the road: He himself has full ownership of his intent behind the video, I can only discuss my personal interpretation.
I first watched the Tokyo video when he linked it on Twitter. Jimin had posted his own cute little tw videos the day before or so and I wasn’t expecting anything more on the subject. Watching it, my first focus was definitely on JK’s proficiency in video production. It was really well made, not only visually but in how he was actually telling an engaging story. Things moved along in sync with the music, the boys were doing all sorts of different things around the city, there was some funny moments, some scenery. It was great.
Of course I noticed that JM was the focus a lot. The fandom made a huge joke about it because JK was a notoriously rare sight on tw and the one time he did post, it’s 90% JM and 0.2% JK. Great memes were shared about it, laughs were had.
But honestly, as someone who has filmed my friends on trips for fun and in order to practice, it’s just the way it works in those sorts of videos. You can’t keep whipping the camera around to film your own face, not if you’re actually trying to make it look good. It’s also completely natural to keep your friends in focus and show off the city through their discovery of it.
Obviously I saw the shipping potential in the video too. JM’s tw tag that had been pretty clean from ship content (save for the occasional yoonmin storyboard) was suddenly inundated with jikook stuff. But I wasn’t interested in shipping so whatever.
It was only later that I saw people pointing out the lyrics to the song used. I admit I hadn’t been paying attention to them on that first view. Even without the words the video had felt really affectionate to me but when I considered the song choice it got a new layer of intimacy for sure. Content-wise the message seemed to be very similar to V’s letter to JM that he read aloud on the boat in BV(?). To paraphrase the message of the letter and the video both as I understood it: “I’ve been having a hard time. Thank you for being there for me. I want to be for you too.”
So is there a particular reason why V’s letter comes off completely platonic and JK’s video… not necessarily that? Is it just the difference of the medium used, i.e. we are so used to associating certain kinds of audiovisual techniques (music, slo-mo) to romantic storylines that we see a romcom setup where there isn’t one?
Did JK realise how a certain part of the fandom would see his video?
The most ambiguous sequence in the video comes towards the end, starting with the teacups. This is where the pretence of “discovering Tokyo through JM” framing device is dropped and the video stops being about Tokyo altogether. Without much of a warning we suddenly get a full 20 seconds straight of JM’s laughing face without any cuts away until the screen goes to black, as if to give us all a breather.
There is also an air of melancholy to it. The part after the teacups until the end is obviously the emotional climax of the song but in the edit JM seems distant. He’s walking around Disneyland, enjoying the sights, goofing around and all the while the music is saying things like “what I got to do to show you?” and repeating “I’m running running just to keep my hands on you” over and over again. I am left wondering why JK feels like he has to keep running like that, why is there a distance for him to overcome?
You can imagine for yourself how different the overall feeling would be if these lyrics were played over footage of JM actually really paying attention to JK, footage I have no doubt he has as well. Instead JK chose to end the video with the words “you gotta be there for me too” right after he had shown the image of JM quite literally walking away. Harsh.
Maybe it’s Freudian or maybe he just has a flair for melodrama. I wouldn’t know.
One thing I do want to point out though is this one clip right after the boys get off the teacup ride:

No beating around the bush: It’s really out of focus. And I’m not dissing JK here. It happens. They are moving around, it’s all happening so fast. Sometimes you get the shot and sometimes you don’t.
I find it kind of endearing that JK chose to include it in his final edit though. No doubt he could tell it was off and no doubt this NG clip in his otherwise oh so very carefully crafted video is bugging the hell out of him. But, sometimes when you really really like a shot you gotta compromise. Its inclusion tells me he likes the content shown in it more than he hates its technical shortcomings.

VMIN and the way they miss each other 😭

And it's true. If you look at the outfits of JK, Tae, Jin and Hobi, it's clear that these videos are from rehearsals on the same day that those 4 did their vlive. The clothes are all the same. You can even see JKs big blue puffy jacket in the corner of the room. Which does then make these rehearsals soon after Tae finally got released from quarantine. So it had been a while since he had seen everyone. So OF COURSE we got clingy vmin 🥺

It's giving off similar vibes to their BV4 reunion. The cuddles on the couch after seeing each other for the first time since their individual vacations as Jimin literally flew in the night before filming for BV4 started 🥺

Or when Tae was late for BV3 and they held hands on top of Namjoon when he finally arrived 🤣 Poor Joon lol

The video calls or video messages when seperated too, through each of their quarantines, when Tae wasn't with the rest of the group. Just always in contact 🥺

Their long distance bracelets too they had!

Please don't ever Seperate Vmin 😭

I'm just feeling SOFT, okay. The absolute sweetest these 2. They really do love each other so much. Their friendship and bond is so pure. And the way they reunite after being apart is soooo cute.
