Siraj (@siraj2024) has asked me to share some more about his story with you all. He's been setting smaller, $10k goals for his GFM and recently reached $20k, alhamdulilah! His next goal is to hit $30k, and I know we can get him there together.

IMPORTANT: Help Family In Crisis (with proof of not being a scam, I guess)

Hi all, I had just come home from a 10 hour work day, semi-relieved that we would have at least raised $1,000 for Wafaa's sister and brother today, after three days of barely any donations, when I saw the donations plummet from almost $8,200 to $7,600. An anonymous donor who contributed $500 had pulled out of the campaign because of a baseless claim.

Link for Hussein’s post here explaining the entire debacle where the user pointed out Shahed and Shaima + Muhammad shared the same organizer. Screenshot included below where they namely mentioned Shaima and Muhammad's campaign.

I have known Wafaa after she talked to and was verified by @/el-shab-hussein and @/nabulsi on their spreadsheet in late April-early May. At that point she was still struggling to fundraise for her own children and grandchildren (family number 171 on spreadsheet). By then just a few months on the app, she had been shadowbanned, so I added her to Whatsapp just in case staff ever thought to delete her intentionally.

Which they did on July 19, after shadowbanning Wafaa four times in the span of barely two weeks, they deleted her old blog without notice. I was extremely worried for her campaign, and continued to post in her stead. On July 20, Wafaa made a new blog, @wafans-blog, which she still uses.

Wafaa recently reached her goal and after she was contacted by her sister and brother Shaima and Muhammad, she was overjoyed but was also tasked with the difficult campaign of evacuating all 10 of their children, themselves, and their spouses (a campaign for 14 people in total).

So why didn't Wafaa use the same organizer who helped her last campaign? They have a family emergency and long working hours and thus could no longer continue to sponsor Wafaa, especially for a long campaign. Wafaa then turned to Shahed, who had helped Wafaa promote her campaign when she had just created it and had a trusted organizer in the U.S. Through Shahed, Wafaa connected with the organizer Said, who agreed to help create the campaign for Wafaa. That is why Shahed and Wafaa's family share the same gfm organizer.

Shaima and Muhammad's campaign was verified by Hussein literally 4 days ago and added to the same vetted spreadsheet (family number 260).

Because of Hala agency pricing the evacuation of all kids above 15 as adults ($5,000 per person), this campaign has 6 children who each need $5,000 in order to be registered for evacuation. Our goal this week is to raise enough money for the 4 children who are below the age of 15. Please help us get to $8,000 at the very least by tonight, and $10,000 by the end of this week.

The most recent donation was from 40 minutes ago. We are currently at $7,920. Please help us raise $80 in the next hour.

It can be literally anything; since it's a simple colored doodle, I am willing to do either a headshot, icon, halfbody, fullbody, ect. It can have some basic shading like the one shown on the example. I won't be drawing any kind of NSFW or suggestive stuff, as well as human characters. I would not take commisions from people below the age of 16, as I don't feel comfortable doing so.

I can draw literally any feral or anthro animal character (unless it's from a NSFW source). It can be your favorite Pokemon, or your Warrior Cats blorbo. It can be your OC or a human character turned into a cat. Don't hesitate to ask if you're not sure about what you can request!

The background for that doodle would be simple, most likely one color, unless you'll donate more (like $10 CAD and above) and decide to take a doodle anyways, then you'll be able to request a bit more complex background. If you'll give more than $15 CAD, I could also make more complex shading.

I've already been requested to draw the first commision, and trust me, both me and Firas were super happy about it! Keep in mind that I do not benefit from your donations one bit. some of y'all really started an entire campaign against shahed and shaima and muhammad to falsely claim they're scammers huh. really just came up with a bunch of baseless racist claims and presented them as fact, getting someone to rescind an entire $500 donation from shaima and muhammad's gfm. do you think they want to be here on tumblr, begging strangers for money to escape a genocide? do you think people like hussein and nairuz put in so much effort to vet them just for fun? or that my friends and i enjoy losing sleep every night trying to get people to donate? if after all this time, after over 300 days of ongoing genocide, you still insist on baselessly accusing palestinians of being scammers with 0 proof, you are just plain racist idk what to tell you! i'm not kidding when i say this racist fucking behavior is quite literally endangering human lives. go donate to them right now i'm no longer asking.
