Whumpee who has been kidnapped, but manage to escape their cells/chains. They stumble around the building, desperately trying to find a way out while avoiding any guards or Whumper. They don't find a way out, but they find a phone.

Hands shaking, they call Caretaker. Caretaker picks up, wondering who this is, and instantly act when they hear Whumpee's shaking voice.

"Hello? Who-"

"Caretaker, it's- it's me. Whumpee."

"Whumpee? Where are you? Are you safe?"

"I - No. I don't-"

"Okay, okay. Where are you? Can you tell me anything?"

"I don't know. I don't- it's a building but I don't know- it's dark and I can't see out the windows, there is a road I think, but I don't - I can't-"

Whumpee starts to panic, knowing they only have limited time, and frustrated that they can't give any information. They start to panic, and Caretaker does their best to keep them calm.

"That's alright, we'll find you. Just stay calm, can you get out? Can you hide anywhere?"

"No- I don't-" A sob. "Please find me. Help me."

Whumpee clings to the phone, wishing they could just jump through it and be with Caretaker, be safe.

But soon they hear footsteps in the hall, and there is nowhere to go. Caretaker listens as Whumpee freaks out and screams, to the sound of a fight, someone getting punched. Then the line goes dead.

Caretaker is left with nothing.

Enemy soldier whumper taking out their rage on whumpee--especially if they're not satisfied after 1 beating and keep upping the ante. Making them apologize. Then beating them again anyway.

Leader whumpee is planning an escape with the other prisoners. When leader comes back in beaten bloody, there's a sickening sense of fear and loss of morale.

Leader whumpee gets taken out in front of the other prisoners to be stripped naked and whipped with a belt

Or raped, or beaten, in front of them, whatever the enemies think will damage the followers' morale

Leader with expensive armor being stripped of it and feeling exposed and naked

Leader whumpee being brought before the enemy king and forced onto their knees with a punch of a spear-butt to the stomach

Whumpee not being ABLE to stand in the king's presence, even though they're defiant enough to try, and they're grinding their teeth in frustration

Enemy king asking what whumpee's leaders are doing--under threat of torture if whumpee doesn't answer. (Bonus: whumpee is not privy to that information)

Stoic whumpee glaring the king right in the eye (stoic would work well for a leader that wanted to preserve their dignity and reputation)

Leader whumpee screaming at the guards as they drag youngest prisoner out to beat them... To force leader to talk.

Other prisoners silently surrounding leader in their cell to protect them as a bully guard comes to harrass the leader

OR, other prisoners backing away from whumpee because they do not want to be associated with the one getting the beat-down

"did you ever think about going back for me?" whumpee asks.

caretaker sighs, dabbing a damp cloth on whumpee's wound. "Not really, I knew you'd make it out and find your way back to me."

whumpee doesn't respond. all they can think about are the weeks (months, years?) they spent with whumper torturing them

"How much do you care for your Whumpee?" Whumper asked Caretaker in a nonchalant tone.

Caretaker glares viciously at him. "They don't mean anything to me." They tell the boldfaced lie with as much confidence as they can muster.

"Is that so?" Whumper asks, amused this time. "So if for example, I had Whumpee bound and gagged in the back of my car, that would mean nothing to you?"

"Nothing at all," Caretaker replies, the lie hurt but they had to protect Whumpee.

Whumper fixed Caretaker with a calculating stare. "Well then, I suppose I won't be needing them anymore." He lifted his phone to his ear. "Hear that Henchman? You can dispose of the brat now."

Ice rushed into Caretaker's lungs. All their bravado slipping away. "No!" They shouted.

"I thought they meant nothing to you?"
