Why can't these things happen to me

Adult realization: you will make mistakes, you will act irrationally. You will commit some wrongs that cannot be fully righted. People will dislike you and misunderstand you for all sorts of reasons. None of these make you a bad person. All you can do is try your best to be kind and just to people, grow and learn.

Girl in college told me I would 'fail all my exams' because I 'talked too much and mucked about and didn't take anything seriously' just because I didn't think every waking moment had to be about serious study and that having fun is not only good for your soul but good for your education too. Wouldn't normally care, I've been told I talk too much my entire life, but her outburst wound on and she got quite nasty with it.
