Hi! First of all, I admire you and your works. You make constructive languages sound very interesting!

I am new around so I don't know if this has ever been answered before. But, I would like to ask some things if you don't mind.

Is any book or websites you would recommend to learn more about constructive language? And perhaps one that could be used as a guide if I want to try to make one?

What is the first thing to do when someone wants to make a constructive language for fantasy stories?

"Conlang" stands for constructed language. Constructive language is what I should try to use more of when chatting with others.

As it happens, I wrote a book called The Art of Language Invention which is intended to serve as an introduction to language creation. It should help to answer your second question. In general, though, you need to be clear about why you want the language—what it's supposed to do, what reality it exists in, what its backstory is, what its function in the fiction will be, etc. The answers to these questions should exhaustively guide the creation of your language.
