YOUR NEW APARTMENT WASN’T AS BAD as you thought it would be. It was a three building apartment, side by side one another. The house was in a decent street. There were cars and the sounds of teenagers walking home from a long and grueling day of school. There wasn’t much graffiti or the high-pitched sound of sirens running amok. It was a simple home. Big enough for you and you alone. 

Only two out of three apartments were being occupied, you had received the middle one. Right spat between the other homes. You didn’t mind, as long as your only neighbor wasn’t a sex freak. It was the case with your old neighbor and most of your nights went sleepless or touching yourself to the moans when feeling bored by your lonesome. 

The first few weeks went well. No noise, no annoying and pesky neighbors who wanted to be up in your business. It was a pleasant surprise. It almost made the move feel better. But then it got too quiet. You could feel yourself going insane with no one to talk with. It bored you to death, but making friends during a pandemic was hard to do. Schools were closed and your new one wouldn’t have its doors open for god knows how long. It was lonely, too lonely.
