Panel 1: Mickey and Oswald are bundled up in sweaters, scarves, and warm caps as the shovel snow. Oswald has an extra pair of mittens on the ends of his ears. Mickey is whistling a tune as he works.
Oswald: Hey Mick, do ya think we could take a break soon? It's getting awfully cold out here.

Panel 2: Mickey stops working and places both hands atop his shovel.
Mickey: You're right there, Oswald! Why, it's so cold I could turn into a Waltsicle out here, a-ha!

Panel 3: Oswald is replaced with a cropped out photo of an Oswald plush, with his hat sloppily drawn on top. The plush's expression is vacant despite its smile.
Oswald: A what.

Panel 4: Mickey's tail curls into a corkscrew as he attempts to explain his joke. The words are imposed over the entire panel.
Mickey: You see, it's a joke on the fact everyone believes ol' Walt was frozen when he passed, either his whole body or just his head. Pretty weird, huh?

Panel 5: Oswald is drawn exaggeratedly distressed with rough outlines, bulging eyes, and his mouth agape. The background has become dark, and Mickey's words are getting harder to see as they blur. An arrow is pointing to Oswald with the words "Didn't even know Walt passed away"
Mickey: but in reality he was actually just cremated! His ashes were interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park over in Glendale where his wife Lillian would be later buried as well. It's really pretty there, we could go see it sometime if ya like!

About 6 years ago, a friend suddenly lost her mom. I left work to track her down since she’d driven off and was in a parking lot falling apart. Found her and in the process of comforting her, drew her a little thing because her mom loved Winnie the Pooh and dragonflies.

Like a year later, she texted me this photo.

It’s crazy to me that’s out there now. That’s my handwriting.
