“golden girl, golden smile, please don’t go, please stay a while”
![Golden Girl](https://64.media.tumblr.com/550448a33fa2fc17302ff0671f434792/20bb6bb18322c914-59/s500x750/f11c8127fb5a3cf9541b8921643db48b281d23b5.png)
neteyam had grown used to the marui, though he’ll never admit it aloud, especially not when he had spent the first few nights twisting back and forth and grumbling quietly to himself. he couldn’t avoid his father’s stern lecture the following morning, but if he could disturb jake’s sleep to spite him, then so be it. but ever since the tidepools, something in him changed. it started with simple things like the marui.
now, the woven floor felt nice under his feet. if neteyam looked closely—which he would have never done before—he could see each braid of dried leaves from a nearby palm, realizing that only someone who excelled in their craft could create such intricate patterns. briefly, he wondered if you were also well-versed in weaving. surely you were. how could a wonderful woman not be?
perhaps his growing fondness for the family marui—and inevitably you—is why he decided to opt out of today’s lessons. sure, he felt a pinch of shame. neteyam was never such a coward back home, but the sea made him vulnerable, dragging him in and swallowing him whole.
he paid the price for letting his mind wander. in the midst of thinking about you and what you could have been doing on this beautiful day, he felt a sharp pain run through his finger. “shit.” neteyam hissed, dropping the arrowhead he was carving. he brushed off the dust that collected and inspected the small cut. it wasn’t all that bad, certainly not something he should stop working over.
he resumed his work and ignored the ache as if nothing had happened. it was clear that he hadn’t learned his lesson, either, letting his mind wander back to you. if you saw the wound on his finger, would you fix it for him? would you rub a salve over it and tell him what it’s made of? would you bring him the next time you forage for plants to make some more?
“you look happier these days.”
neteyam blinked and looked up from his seat on the floor. his mother stood at the foot of the entrance with a basket full of fruit hanging from her hip. she said it so matter-a-factly that he knew not to question her implication. neteyam dropped the unfinished arrowhead and rose to his feet, bringing the basket inside and stealing a peak at its contents. “what makes you say that, sa’nok?”
she huffed. “do not play dumb with me.” though, the glare in her eyes softened at her eldest son. the move had been hard for all of them, she knew it well. the grief, the heartache of being ripped from your home. so when she noticed that her son was finally growing accustomed to their refuge, a weight had been lifted off of neytiri’s chest. “why don’t you join the others outside?”
“it’s because he found a girlfriend.” lo’ak teased, suddenly appearing from behind her, and neytiri gave him a look. he walked past their mother and into their home, ignoring the wet footsteps he left in his wake. so they went swimming again, neteyam thought as he watched lo’ak rummaging through his things for a dry rug. “you better watch it. and dry yourself before you touch anything next time.”
lo’ak stuck out his tongue and reached over to tug his older brother’s ear, his face smug knowing he had the upper hand. neteyam hissed and swatted him away, though it didn’t go unnoticed to anyone that he didn’t deny it. “mind your own business skxawng.” the word teetered towards a growl. but lo’ak simply shrugged and left once dry.
an awkward silence stretched between them, before his mother broke it.
“why didn’t you tell me, ma evi?” it was an honest question said with such softness that was nearly unfitting of neytiri’s usual nature.
neteyam cleared his throat, painfully unconvincing. “we aren’t together, ma. she’s just a friend.” he emptied the basket she brought and ignored her pointed stare.
neytiri wasn’t stupid. sure, she sometimes lost track of her children’s antics in between adjusting to their refuge and learning from the tsahik. her children were many, all of whom were different. some required more attention, especially tuk, but that didn’t mean she cared less about her eldest. she didn’t even need a name to know who he was referring to. but she let it rest. for now.
neytiri made quick work of the fruits she picked, peeling and chopping with skill. neteyam continued to shape the arrowhead meanwhile.
“why do you make a new arrowhead?” neytiri asked without looking at him, her face twisted with concentration as she carefully peeled the skin between the grooves. neteyam watched her for a moment, knowing that she did that for jake, who found the fruit’s skin bitter. “i figured i’d put the scrap to good use.” he said. “it was the right size and length. i might need it one day.”
neytiri hummed. “you plan to fight with just your bow?”
at that, neteyam’s actions came to a full stop, and he looked at his mother with wide eyes. “you don’t?”
“of course i do.” she huffed. “i have an honor to live up to.” neytiri moved the cut fruit to a clean bowl and wiped her hands. then, she reached for the next. “but you and i are different. if you find yourself in battle without a bow, or your ikran, what will you resort to? you could have used the forest to your advantage, even without a weapon, but the same can’t be said here.”
neytiri watched a small realization wash over her eldest son. pleased, she continued in silence and left him to soak in his thoughts.
she was chopping up the last fruit when you unexpectedly came over, flashing a kind smile and apologizing for the intrusion. neytiri reassured you that it was anything but that, before ushering you inside. you greeted neteyam and explained to them that the day’s lessons were coming to an end, and the others would be coming home shortly.
there was a little accident with lo’ak, you told them. he lost control of himself under a wave and found his foot wedged between the coral. you nearly chuckled at their exasperated expressions, so similar in every way, that leaned more towards annoyance than concern. when you turned to leave, believing that you overstayed your welcome, neytiri pulled you back in. she insisted that you stayed.
you found yourself enjoying your conversations with her. she was one of the fiercest women you knew, something she surely takes pride in. she spoke with certainty and confidence, and she chided you like a mother when you politely refused the fruit she offered.
something shiny glinted in the corner of your eye, and you briefly pulled your attention away from neytiri. “what are you holding, neteyam?” you tilted your head at the boy who hardly said a thing since you arrived.
he looked down for a moment, before looking back at you. “it’s just a spearhead i’ve been working on.”

bestie??? Im not sure if it was adrenaline or the desperation for a premise like this thats WRITTEN WELL, but i didnt see a thing!! My only criticism is that your fic ended HUHU ive been searching for healer!yn specifically in a fix-it neteyam fic 😵💫😵💫😵💫 (i was so close to writing one myself with all my ideas*i dont write*)
Do know that once you post that part 2, i will be dEVOURING it. And i will be rereading part 1 whole waiting 💖💖💖i love what u do 🤸♀️✨️
Hey bby! I’m just gonna come on here to request because I love the way you write Neteyam it has me kicking me feet oml.
Can you write a fic where metkayina reader has healing powers that are gifting by eywa, and she uses them to save Neteyam during the final battle? you can decide their dynamic and relationship if u want. if not that’s okay u can ignore this xx
don't blame me
![Hey Bby! Im Just Gonna Come On Here To Request Because I Love The Way You Write Neteyam It Has Me Kicking](https://64.media.tumblr.com/aaca8df5b2ff1bb5c67d8673b3edf8da/408e209efa386d23-16/s500x750/ea2b4521710a1dbc9a9d63771e4c291347616636.png)
pairing neteyam x metkayina! fem reader summary you were always rational, calm, and gentle. like eywa blessed you with all her tranquility. you always knew you had a purpose in life and that was to be a healer, the next tsahik. the great mother gave you the gift to do so and you never went against death because you knew it was meant to be. but what happens when the person you deared most has his door knocking by death? tags & warning reader has healing powers, reader is tonowari & ronal's eldest daughter, only younger than neteyam by 3 months, lots of descriptions than dialogue (bare with me pls), blood, hints of death index paysyul [water lily], tsaheylu [bond/neural connection] word count 1.6k
teyamsilly speaking ✩ there will be two more parts to this: part two & an alternate ending! there's more descriptions in the beginning describing reader, then reader and neteyam's relationship. dialogue will come later on! hope you'll like it <3
PART ONE | PART TWO | ALTERNATE ENDING
How Ronal found out she was pregnant with you was magical to her. She didn't have any problems with giving birth and it wasn't painful at all. She felt as if she was having trouble breathing and questioned whether there were troubles since you weren't weeping and crying the moment you were born. But to her surprise, your eyes glowed a brighter shade of blue momentarily as you gave her a wide gummy smile.
She knew you were gifted ever since your injuries would heal themselves. She took it as a sign from Eywa that you were next in line for Tsahik, that you would interpret her will.
The tasks given to you came naturally for you. You've executed the duties of a Tsakarem excellently, not only that, you were loved by the clan. You were always rational, calm, and gentle like the great mother blessed you with all her tranquility.
Ronal had never thought that your gift could be extended to another living thing. One time, a few ilu's came back injured from escaping an akula. They filled the water arround them with blood, screeching for help. Immediately, you went to them and cried like you could feel their pain.
As you created tsaheylu with one, your hands gently carressed the chopped fin with tears slipping from your eyes. You surprised everyone when you took your knife and made a deep cut on your palm, then placed it on the ilu's open wound. The skin covered itself.
However, your gift came with a price. Using your blood meant losing your blood, it resulted you to lose consciousness from the loss of blood. Tonowari and Ronal decided that your ability to heal others should never be used again, so you didn't.
Your mothers next words would ring in your head everytime you see an injured na'vi or animal: "She protects the balance of life. She does not take sides. What happens is meant to happen, ma'ite."
Neteyam Sully knew you were one of a kind when he saw you pass through crowd effortlessly with curious eyes as you observed each of his family when they arrived at Awa'tlu. Your eyes were nothing like he had ever seen before. Jewelled blue eyes that seemed to shimmer with every tilt of your head. He couldn't stop his tail from jouncing gently when your eyes met. He was sure that your eyes glowed before it's shine died.
When he heard the story from Tsireya of your birth and your miracle powers, he was at awe. It was obvious that you were in sync with Eywa and her creatures. And the way you walked, hips swayed, looked so graceful. It didn't surprise him that Kiri was quick to be cosy with you as she loves nature just as much.
Neteyam never had the opportunity to have a proper conversation with you since you are never present in their lessons because of your duties. The only time the two of you had a proper interaction was when Tsireya introduced them to you. When his name rolled of your tongue, he felt like he was in a trance with how soft your voice was.
Your smile was something he would never get tired of, ever. Since then, whenever you two made eye contact, you just smiled at each other. He would sometimes stare at you with the intention of being caught. When you noticed him looking at you, he flashed you a boyish grin and tilted his head. Blood would rush to your cheeks making you look away. You swore you could hear his chuckle.
Neteyam would look for you after lessons, but you were always snatched away with another duty whenever he would try to make his move. But you couldn't be that busy, would you? Unless you were actively avoiding him. Tsireya would reassure him that you were being kept busy with your mother and how your attention was always needed in the healers' marui.
Lo'ak would suggest jokingly (not really) that he should get injured on purpose just to feel the carress of your hands touching his skin whilst adding smooching sound effects to tease him. Kiri would smack the back of his head afterwards for his stupid idea. Neteyam felt even more stupid for considering his brother's words.
Until the opportunity rose itself. Ao'nung held a small gathering– a party as Lo'ak called it– that night for na'vi his age. It was kept hidden from the adults because he knew that his parents would never approve of this, especially when he brought alcohol that he shouldn't be drinking because he is not of age yet.
You, the golden child of Ronal and Tonowari, never told on him. You loved how you get to worry about your tasks for a while and being surrounded with your peers.
Neteyam couldn't take his eyes off you. You were glowing, you always were, but it felt different for him today. You were smiling with your group of friends until one of them nudged your arm and pointed his direction. He quickly looked away and acted as if he was staring at the fire that served as the gathering's source of light. He scolded himself internally for acting like a coward. All the courage he collected to speak to you just left him.
"Neteyam?"
The forest boy spun around too quickly for his liking with his eyes wide. Your name stuttered from his lips.
You chuckle, "Hi. Are you enjoying yourself?"
He nodded, "I did not think Ao'nung had such drinks." He shook the wooden cup on his hands before looking at you. It seems to be his most favourite thing to do, just having you in his line of vision.
"Hmm… my brother does not have the knowledge for this. To make a drink like this, you have to take paysyul that lives outside the reef. Take the petals off and then squeeze the ovary."
Neteyam's eyebrows furrowed, then it relaxed when he realised. He scoffed as a smirk presented on his lips. "This is your doing? That is impossible."
You laughed, "How come?"
"Because you…" He stared at you with adoration, his smile never leaving his lips. And since then, Neteyam knew you were full of surprises. He was driven to get to know you even more.
Everyone started to notice how close the two of you have gotten. Imagine the surprise Kiri and Lo'ak had when the eldest Sully child didn't come for their lesson and found him with you instead. He stayed with you in the healers' marui just to spend time with you.
They would notice how Neteyam's hand would rest on your lower back as you two would walk around Awa'tlu. How your gaze would linger on him longer. How one of your accessories consist materials from the forest. How Neteyam would intertwine your hands together to pull you away from something. How Neteyam's tail would swish excitedly at the sight of you.
Everyone noticed it.
Your time with Neteyam made you think that his arrival here was not a coincidence but destined by the Great Mother herself. You cant imagine living your life without Neteyam anymore. He somehow made a permanent mark in your life and you cant move on from something strong like that.
Maybe this excuses your reckless behaviour. Maybe this is why Neteyam met you, because you could save him. Maybe it's why you didn't hesitate to sit beside his panting figure, reaching for his kuru immediately when you spotted the wound on his chest that didn't stop bleeding.
"Save him, please!" Lo'ak begged. Your eyes remained on his kuru, tears flowing out of your eyes endlessly. "I know this is a big move, a-and I know there could be consequences. But please save my brother, please," he croaked out.
His cry for help was unnecessary because you knew you would do it either way. The boy you love is dying in front of you. The sight of him scared and panicked, panting for breath made you sob.
Jake watched with curious eyes as you created tsaheylu with his son. He's heard stories of your 'powers' but never seen them first hand. He remembered from Tonowari that healing any living creauture with your ability was dangerous, therefore was never used again. Yet he couldn't bring himself to stop you not when you could save his first child.
This was not how the bond should feel like, it was not how you wished for it to happen. You could only feel the pain on his chest and how his body is struggling to breathe for air. Neteyam could feel himself losing it, and you felt it too. You quickly took his dagger, tearing the skin of your palm apart making the wound deep.
Blood gushed out immediately as you pressed your hand against his wound immediately. You groaned feeling your energy being taken away from you. Neteyam stopped struggling for air, his eyes starting to feel heavy,
Lo'ak panicked at this. "What? What's wrong?"
"It's okay, he will live," Tsireya reassured. She watched how the eldest Sully fall into slumber, his chest now heaving up and down peacefully. The girl noticed how your body started to lean forward, eyes unfocused. She gasped when your eyes rolled back as you fell unconscious. "Sister!"
Jake caught your body before it could fall over on Neteyam. He and Tsireya gently laid your body beside your now muntxatan. Tsireya separated both of your kuru slowly.
Her eyebrows furrowed when the freckles on your cheeks started flickering on and off. The cut you made on your skin isn't healing. The wind arround them passed strongly. Your body turned pale, but heart still beating.
Eywa gave you a gift, but it came with a price.

“ yn, hey! ” you tore your eyes away from neteyam’s form to look at his sister.
“ hm? ” the muscles your forehead rose as you gave kiri your full attention.
“ just go to him, your heat is coming. ” you shook your head, the embarrassing thoughts rushing up behind you.
“ no. i will not, i mean, he’s your brother, there’s no way- ” you winced as a sharp pain ran through your core.
“ told you. ” you give kiri a mean look,
“ just- tell him i’m…busy, i- ” you cried out, covering your mouth as you moved to stand, kiri following you.
“ busy? that’s what you want me to tell him? ” you pushed her shoulder but didn’t let her go as you needed her for stability in this moment,
“ whatever- just- ” another rush of pain.
“ go, yn. ” she pushed you foreward, steering you clear of the dick-thinking na’vi.
in the comfort of your hut you barely made it to your cot before you were flooded with heat. barely managing to get your loincloth out of the way before you had two fingers buried inside yourself to the last knuckle. your fingers curled, trying your hardest to finger that spot that was just only a hair away.
every fibre of neteyam’s being seemed to be on edge. jake rests his hand on his shoulder, neteyam’s head whips around, his loose braids slapping his father’s forearm.
“ hey, go take a walk, okay? clear y’head. ” neteyam nodded once, his brain somehow working hard enough to get him to his feet and walking.
“ brother! ” kiri threw her hand in the air towards her brother,
“ not now kiri. ” neteyam shook his head, falling deeper into his stride as he was determined to figure out what was placing his mind so far away.
“ it’s yn, neteyam. she couldn’t tell you herself , but she’s in heat. ” neteyam stopped and turned to his sister. his mind raced for the first time that day.
“ where is she? ” his muscles felt tight - aching, really - as he waited for his sister to reply.
“ she’s in her mauri.. it’s over- ” kiri wouldn’t finish that sentence, not before neteyam was making his way to your mauri with an urgency she hasn’t seen in a while.
too caught in your own wetness and sounds, you didn’t hear him approach. your back arched as you tried stuffing your fingers deeper inside yourself, forever cursed to not reach that sacred spot inside of you. you didn’t hear neteyam, but you did smell him - just as he did you so early in the day. it was you, the reason he couldn’t focus..the reason he knew where your marui was without being told. your head snapped to his, your eyes locking and you melted - partially from the fact that he sees you like this, but relieved because he is here.
“ look at you.. fuck you’re dripping- ” you left your fingers inside, but couldn’t find the strength to stop their twisting and turning. your eyes fluttered, struggling to stay open, as you watched his eyes dance up your flushed frame.
“ please nete… ” you felt your pupils dilate as you pouted at him. you were above begging - but in this moment, there wasn’t anything you wouldn’t do. your legs fell open, instinct following the pharmacies he is releasing in response to yours. through lidded eyes you saw his tail thrashing behind him as his jaw clenched and unclenched. he was trying to hold himself together.
it was not working.
he made his way over to you, broad frame casting a shadow from the dim candle light. he kneeled down next to you, a hand by your head as the other danced down your torso. a whimper left your lips and you looked up at him and neteyam swears this sight of you will be the prettiest he’s ever seen.
“ you want my help, sweet girl? ” in any other state of mind, you would have preserved your dignity, your bond with the sullys. but in this moment, you couldn’t care less. you nodded, pulling your bottom lip between your fangs.
“ ah-ah use your words. ” the tone he used nearly sent your brain to another world. choking down a moan, you replied with a meek, “ please help me nete.. ”
he didn’t waste another moment, his left hand pulled yours out, replacing it instantly. as you felt his fingers slide in your head fell back against the furs under your head, a soft mewl leaving your lips.
if he was any other man, he would have came just from feeling how warm and wet you were. but he’s not. he’s neteyam sully. the same man who spreads your legs to allow room for him to shift between. the same man who sucks on your clit and laps up your essence as if it was the last thing he’d do. the same man who’s hips are rocking against the floor of your mauri because he wants to take his time pleasing you. the same man who has had his eyes on you as long as he could remember.
you couldn’t stop the moans leaving your lips - not like you wanted to, you finally had him after years of pining. even if it is just for your heat.
his lips left your swollen bud, but his fingers still pressing at that spot yours could never reach. “ that’s it.. ” you felt that familiar heat pool in your stomach. back arching off the ground you were so so close.. “ that’s it yawne.. ”
and there it was. the last push you needed to take a free fall over the edge of ecstasy. neteyam didn’t waste a moment, nor waste a drop. your chest heaved as you came down from your high and neteyam rose from between your thighs, face glossed with your arousal.
neteyam crawled up to be face to face with you, forearms resting beside your head.
“ you always leave me breathless, yn. ” he affirmed, pressing kisses to your jaw and trailing lower. kisses along the column of your throat brought that heat back to your stomach. as if he knew, one of his hands slipped down between your thighs, rubbing soft circles on your clit. a sigh left your lips as your eyes finally shut. neteyam loved all of your sounds. groaning, he smashed his lips against yours, you moaned against them, allowing his tongue to slip between your bruising lips.
“ i need you neteyam…inside- please- ” you pleaded against his lips, squirming against his hand, needy for more - to be filled. your eyes opened and locked onto his golden ones. blown pupils and a smirk on his face he whispered against your cheek, “ as you wish tiyawn. ” he shed himself of his tweng, left hand leaving your clit briefly to pump his cock before pressing it against your entrance. “ breathe for me. ” he whispered, head ducking down breifly to watch his head slip past your puffed lips before returning to watch your face contort in pleasure.
fuck he was big, but the pain meant little to nothing right now. not when he fucks inch after thick inch into you. your hands found his back, scratching at it as his body came back over yours. overheating from the inside out, you pressed your face into his neck, fangs sinking into his shoulder when he bottomed out. bodies pressed against each other, pheromones dancing in the air around you, you felt neteyam’s form shaking.
“ nete- pl- ” you don’t get to finish your sentence before he is pulling out and slamming into you. your body jerks with the power of his thrusts, your voice anchoring at every rough movement of his hips.
“ think you can handle more, sweet girl? ” you nodded, the rational part of your mind wondering how-
and there it was, hips pistoning against yours in an animalistic pace. your moans knew no limit in this moment, nor the ones after. neteyam muffles your sounds of your pleasure with his lips, but that didn’t quiet the squelching of your cunt around his cock. you desperately tried to meet his thrusts, trying to help him please you, but he had it all on his own. your legs parted as neteyam sits up, pushing the back of your knees, they press against your ears.
the new position didn’t leave much room for cries, neteyam fucking you silent and hitting the deepest parts of you that nudged just past your cervix. your voice returned and out came a mantra of his name as you neared your second orgasm of the night. he knew it was coming and he smirks, pushing on your ankles to completely fold you in half. raising to his feet he pulls out nearly all the way before slamming back into you, hitting that spot he knew all too well. you didn’t get a chance to be shocked about the sudden change in position, not before your vision was filled with white hot pleasure. neteyam was on the edge, teetering on it as you clenched around him like a vice. he curses, hips stuttering as he fucks you through your orgasm.
“ c’mon give me one more baby. ” he growls through gritted teeth. he lets the two of you down, finger finding your clit as he feels the waves of your orgasm subside. your lips locked together, strained moans trying to fight their way out as you felt that heat in your stomach approaching way too fast.
“ ne- netey- ” your eyes fluttered open, squeezing shut before opening them again to lock with his. his cheeks were flushed, half lidded eyes looking back down at you. another shrill of pleasure fills you, watching him watch you. he gives you a lopsided grin, he had you just where he wanted you.
his hips sped up, something you didn’t think was possible as his thumb pressed harder circles on your clit. you choked out a string of curses as another orgasm hit you like a train, your body squirting onto his torso.
“ shit. ” he growls, his three fingers rubbing on your clit to prolong your orgasm as he comes right behind you. with a throaty moan, neteyam pumps you full, thoroughly coating your walls white. chests heaving and covered in sweat neteyam presses his chest and forehead against yours.
“ you’re mine, yn. mine. ” he growls, pressing gentle kisses to your eyelids. you pressed your nose into his chin, your subtle way of scenting him.
you two stayed there for a few moments, gathering your breath before neteyam’s hips begin to rock once more.
this was going to be a long few days and you were here for every moment of it.

Your mother has you by the arm, dragging you to your marui as the sully brothers and their own parents follow, your own siblings already inside your marui after not wanting to upset your father and followed him when he didn’t even order them.
You were foolish to think something like this would slide past them, a forest boy bonding with the outcast tulkun.
Everyone is stood in your parents marui, with the exception of the two Sully parents as they stand just outside.
You stand between the two Sully brothers, one of which got you into this mess in the first place. You take a quick glace towards your siblings who stand just beside Neteyam, a little ways away from you. Still, their presence brings you some comfort.
As your father walks to stand in front of all of you, your ears pin further back into your head, preparing yourself for the worst.
It’s your mothers words that break the cruel silence, “you allowed him to bond with the outcast!” She stand in front of you and motions her hand towards Lo’ak.
The accusation only makes blink for a prolonged second and let out a heavy breath as you try contain your emotions in front of your parents. Whats worse is that most of the Sully family is present. You can’t break, not in front of them, him.
Your mother hastily releases your arm and goes to pace slowly back and forth behind your father, who’s gaze is now harshly directed at you. “You disappoint me, daughter.”
It was those four words that made your eyes water, the feeling of rejection nothing new, but only breaking you more than it ever did before.
Your lips quiver for just a second before you bite down onto the inside of your lower lip to stop it. You suddenly feel exposed, besides your father you are almost exactly in the middle of the group, nowhere to hide. All you do is lower your head a little.
You feel the eyes staring into the back of your head as you are scolded, and another pair beside you…he’s looking.
You father stands up with a strict posture in the middle of the room, “sit down.” His aggravated voice sounds through the marui. You immediately go into the action of kneeling, not fast enough for him you suppose when his voice booms out again, “sit down!” Now he’s livid, you and the rest of the teenagers kneel hastily, not daring to make eye contact with the Olo’eyktan. All except for one.
Neteyam glares daggers into your father, who only looks at him for a split second before casting his eyes on Lo’ak, it seems a lesson is in order.
At that point you are already zoned out, lost in never ending thoughts of shame and hurt. You eyes appear empty as you stare to the floor infront of you, your head not completely down, leaving a certain Sully to look at you in pity.
You fail to realise how long you’ve zoned out for because when the sudden voice of Neytiri breaks your trance you’re focused again.
“Lo’ak, you speak to Olo’eyktan.” Her voice is harsh. Lo’ak simply glances in her direction before he turns to your father once again.
“I’m sorry, but I know what I know.” Are what might as well be his last words as your mother hisses at the reply.
His father, Jake Sully crawls his way towards his youngest son, and with warning in his tone speaks “that’s enough.” His eyes look towards the your own father “I’ll deal with this one.” Lo’aks arm is roughly grasped and used to be dragged out of your marui, Neytiri following her mate and son.
Your eyes haven’t once left the floor since your scolding, but they’re brought up to your father when he huffs, “You’re dismissed.” And with that he stands up, and turns to pace in the marui.
You’re the first to leave, not a single thought in your head as the headache from the recent events settles in your forehead.

You opt to go to the shore of the ocean, cool yourself down and most importantly regain the ability to think straight.
So here you sit, on the wet sand of the shore, letting the soft waves collide with your feet. Not a single Na’vi in sight, the sounds of natures music bringing you some peace.
And all is quiet until you hear a voice, right behind you.
“How are you feeling, Y/n?” The foreign accent immediately tells you who you’re talking to.
Quietly sighing as you turn to look at the male that somehow found you. “I’m fine Neteyam, what are you doing out here..?”
He walks to stand beside you before swiftly sitting down to face you, “I came to find you.” His voice softens while he speaks, it’s a nice change that you can come to like. “Back at your marui, with your father…”
You sigh immediately at the mention at the events before “did he send you to come get me?.. I’ll go now.” You mumble when trying to stand, but a hand on your arm quickly stops your movements.
“No no, I haven’t spoken to your father. I just wanted to see you.” His eyes show the genuineness of his words, and it immediately melts you to sit back down next to him.
“Oh.”
He chuckles quietly, but then remembers the reason he came here, “I’m really sorry you had to be responsible for my brother, truly.”
Your eyes flicker to his for a moment. “Thanks, but it really wasn’t your fault… they were right I should’ve done.. something.” You tone is quiet but desperate as you try finding the right words to speak.
“No, I understand. But you have to realise it really wasn’t your fault, I know that you must take the blame a lot.” He says and places a hand on your bicep, his thumb running soothing circles on your patterned skin.
When you don’t reply he speaks again, “I think you and I are a lot alike.” You turn your head to face him.
“Why do you say that?”
“Well, both oldest siblings and always taking the blame for their siblings, and others.“
“…yea, I guess so.” Your words are soft, not used to being so open about your family life. You shuffle in your spot on the sand. “Why are you telling me all this.”
He tilts his head a little, almost unnoticeable, but not to you. “Because I want you to know you’re not alone.”
Both of your eyes meet, and suddenly you’re too shy to speak in front of his gaze, so all you can do is look away back to the ocean in front of you. “That’s… actually really sweet. Thank you.”
He smiles at your flustered reaction. “You’re welcome.” He reply’s “you know if you ever need anybody to talk to about this stuff, I’m always here to listen.”
You finally look back to him, looking into his eyes and smiling softly, “thanks Neteyam…”
