It's been a year-ish since I started posting my photography on tumber. Here's some of the first ones I posted.

This hit me where it hurts.

the pharmacy down the street has a sign on its sliding door it says ‘everyone is welcome’ (though it wasn’t there before)

with playful, blocky text decorated with a rainbow it certainly does not feel this way welcoming, i wonder how

because my partner still walks to the counter tugging, pulling at his baggy shirt he asks for the birth control quietly afraid it might get him hurt

it still says ‘feminine paper’ in the aisle near the cashier not period nor menstrual because god forbid the children hear

the flags and celebratory hats are covered in logos of sterilized white as companies attempt to own the struggle for our human rights

an identity as trans, though i can’t speak to that i can certainly criticize, when a bar is set this low when all my partner's ever felt the need to say was an apology for being so

i do not know if i believe you despite the sign on your front door … isn’t it just a performance for the customers so that they’ll give you more?
