ellie was your soulmate or she was supposed to be your soulmate, walking in on her with someone else in what was your bed was not part of your long term plan, you guys were supposed to be in it to win it, her words.

you and ellie had met through work, it was late august when Joel told her she could "benifet" from having a job, so ellie did was she was told, she nailed her interview for a sales job, easy right? no it was not, the minute she walked into the bland looking office she noticed the receptionist, you. you looked up from your desk and made eye contact with ellie, 'hi' you flashed her a smile and gave her a small wave, her heart was beating fast and her palms were sweating. she stared back at you for a second before waiving back and anxiously walking away.

the first time she knew she loved you was in the offices break room, not the most romantic place but her love for you didn't care. you sat across from her eating your lunch and taking time out of your break to talk to her, she made one of her dumb jokes that made you smile and laugh almost choking on your food, she looked at you completely in love and that's when it hit her how deep she was in

your first date was to say the least was awkward, she picked you up in her beat up car and brought you to a semi fancy restaurant, the food was nice, the place was quiet and the conversation was flowing. that night she even drove you home trying to drag the date our as long as possible, when she kissed you goodnight and cupped your face that's when you knew you were in love, the feeling felt like it would never leave.

as the months went on so did your love, the date nights were still vibrant, the spark was still there and she was still in love with you, very very in love. your jobs never changed and neither did your relationship, even after fights, moving in together and thanksgiving family dinners she staying by your side.

when you stepped in you heard faint noises from your shared bed room, you quickly and anxiously stepped towards the creeked open door, when you peeked through it you saw ellie with someone else in your bed, your stomach dropped and an ache formed in your chest. you pushed the door open with your finger trying to make your presence known without embarrassing yourself, as they both heard the door open they froze up, ellie turned around and saw the look of disgust and hurt on your face, the gult hitting her in an instant.

the redhead laying on her back quickly scrambled her clothes on and ran out mumbling apologizes, you still stood there at the door as ellie tried to get your attention, tapping you and yelling your name, all you could think about was what you did and what would happen after this. when you snapped out of your thoughts you were met with ellie inches away from your face, you broke into sobs as ellie attempted to hold you.

she was quickly pushed away realizing you did not want her affection right now, in an panic Ellie rushed out of the house in sweatpants and t-shirt and crocs leaving you alone with your thoughts and pain.

a week later you sat in a cafe booth waiting for ellie to show up so you could "talk" about what happened. you waited another 5 minutes before ellie finally walked through the door, the bell ringing as she looked for you, you gave her the same wave you gave her the day you met, in the moment bringing back lost memory's to ellie, she sat down across from you and cleared her throat.

she picked her nose bridge and opened her mouth to speak, 'I want to start by saying I am deeply sorry, it was so fucked up what I did and I--' she cut herself off as she felt tears well up in her eyes, you looked at her trying to keep yourself collected, she sighed before speaking again, 'i want to know if we can...move past this'

moving past that seemed like the hardest thing in the world right now, you looked at her with a face of confusion, 'you want me to move part you cheating on me on our one year anniversary?' at the moment it sounded like the stupidest question for you, she looked at her shoes almost like she was trying to play the victim, she nodded her head and bit her lip so hard she drew some drops of blood.
