Jacob smiled when he and Yona came back to the cave where you were hiding. “I think it will work.”

You and the kids huddled just inside the cave. You couldn’t make a fire because you didn’t want the smoke to be seen. Preventing the outsiders from finding you quickly became the top priority.

“We went back and made it look like we crossed the river,” Yona told you, dropping the tree branch she carried. “We used that to cover our tracks in the snow leading to the cave.”

Jacob’s idea had been a good one. They’d certainly done it very quickly. You hope it worked.

But keeping the group Park was concerned about off your trail was only one of your problems.

It got dark and no one came. Not the invading group and no one from your group. There was no sign of Park or Harvey. It was cold and dark. All of you were cold and hungry.

You were so proud of both kids. They didn’t complain though they were clearly scared. It made you sad to think of things they’d probably seen in their short lives in the tail section of the train. You really wanted to minimize any more trauma in their lives if you could help it.

All you could do was keep them close, try to keep them warm. You put them between you and Yona, trying to get comfortable as you could. Jacob stayed closed to Yona and you smiled at them in the darkness, glad to see the fondness they had for each other.

You missed Curtis. As much as you weren’t looking forward to telling him about the pregnancy, you had no idea how he was going to react, you’d feel much safer if he were there. You missed having his comfort, strength.

“Try not to worry,” Jacob’s voice pulled you from your thoughts. “Curtis will find us.”

You smiled. “Was I that obvious?”

Both Jacob and Yona nodded.

“We are assholes” I bluntly say as I look through clothes online. His head pops up from his laptop. He is wearing the adorable glasses that make him irresistible. His eyebrows are knit together and his lips are slightly parted. 

“Hey! I will not allow you to speak this way about my girlfriend” I frown not happy with the way we were doing things. ”Why are we assholes?” He asks completely clueless about the way I was feeling but it was nothing new. I had been going through so many changes not only physically but emotionally too. 

“We haven’t told anyone!” I block my phone and throw it on the cushion beside me. “Not anyone close to us” I add as I pull the blanket closer to my body.

“Sure we have! We told our parents!” He runs his hand through his hair before closing his laptop, clearly invested and entertained with the conversation. “It’s also too early anyway” He pushes his blanket off his body revealing his lower abdomen and a little bit of his skin. 

“It’s been four months, Dave” I giggle at his sense of time. He is good at so many things except time. According to him there was always enough time to do everything “We are halfway there”.

“I think we should pull off a Kylie Jenner” He shrugs as he leans in and grabs my ankle from under the blankets. He pushes them away, revealing my sock-covered foot. 

“All of Kylie’s friends knew, doofus!” I laugh before throwing him a pillow that barely misses him. 

“Here I am trying to be a nice boyfriend and give you a foot massage and you are not only insulting me but throwing pillows at me!” He points at me with his index finger like a father does to a kid when they are in trouble. 

“I am sorry. I love you” I smile at him before nudging him gently with my foot so he continues. He leans down and kisses my exposed ankle. 

“You are lucky that you are so cute and that you are pregnant with my son” He mumbles as his fingers massage the bottom of my foot. “But seriously I just want to keep both of you save and once it’s out there I can’t do much” 

“I know that babe but I think our friends deserve to know it at least” I argue, “how do you think Jason will feel when he finds out that we never told him and kept him in the dark because we didn’t trust him. They are our family”  He just nods as he looks down at my foot resting on his lap. 

“I guess you are right” he finally says after a few minutes of silence. “But we are still not telling the world until he is here” it was compromise and if I had learned something from dating David for three years is to find a middle ground.

“You got yourself a deal, Dobrik” I wink as he starts massaging my other foot. “Also we have to talk about names” he groans and throws his head back. “I know you hate it” David is the type of man that loses his patience when time passes by and no one is settling in one thing which often happens when you are choosing a name for a human being that you haven’t met yet! Especially if your dad is David Dobrik who is very picky about things. “Just for a few minutes” He hesitates but nods. 

“Noah?” I ask as I look through the names that I had like. “Noah Dobrik” I sound it out for him as he keeps his head down. 

“No. I hate it” He responds quickly, “There used to be a kid in my high school named like that and he was a dick” I laugh softly at his facial expressions. 

“Hunter” I already know the answer to it, but I want to push his buttons. “Hunter Dobrik” He snaps his head up but doesn’t say anything. “I used to have a boyfriend named like that. I always loved his name” 

“Absolutely not. Where the fuck are you getting his names from, babe?!” He snaps only causing me to laugh. “There is no way in hell that we are naming our kid after one of your ex-boyfriends!” David rises to his feet and walks to my side of the couch. 

“Jacob?” I ask waiting for him to explode, but he doesn’t say anything. “Babe?” 

“Jacob Dobrik” He whispers as he sits behind me. I sit between his legs as he wraps his arms around me and rests his hands over my tummy. “It’s not that bad” He places his head on my shoulder and looks through my list. 

“So maybe?” I ask confirming just in case I hadn’t heard right. 

“How are we going to be parents?” He whispers after a few minutes of silence. A smile spreads across my face with the thought of having a mini David to take care of even though the adult version was a handful at times. 

“It’s going to be wonderful. I can’t wait” His fingers slide under my shirt and glaze the skin of my bump. “When should we tell them?” His hands continue caressing my tummy. He kisses the side of my neck and sighs heavily.

“Next week?” I sighs in relief. I am tired of wearing baggy clothes and David’s merch shirts. I wanted to wear cute things even if I didn’t get to leave the house. 

The next day, David invites everyone over for a bit for the vlog and to hangout. I stay in the bedroom most of the day since I was feeling particularly tired. I could still hear them laughing and David commanding everyone. I eventually grow tired of Netflix and decide to join our friends. I slip on some leggings and a big sweater before heading outside. 

“Hey! Where’ve you been?” Jason is the first that I come across. He had his phone against his ear as if he is the middle of a call. I lean in and side hug him not wanting to push my tummy against him. 

“In the room. I didn’t get much sleep last night” He nods then turns his attention back to his call. Todd, Jeff, and Matt sit on the couch while flipping through channels and commenting about some party.

“Hi” I smile and wave at the three of them. 

“We’ve been asking for you!” Matt adds as he looks at me. Since getting pregnant I tiptoe around Matt. He is too bright and I know that if I do something slightly off he’ll catch up that something is up.  

“I was just catching on some sleep” 

“Is David keeping you up or what?” Jeff smirks making me only laugh. 

“Something like that” I giggle as I head into the kitchen and finally find him. I wrap my arms around him from behind and kiss the nape of his neck. He relaxes as soon as he gets a glimpse of my hands. 

“Hi baby” He whispers as he moves his head to the side to get a look of me. “What are you doing up, huh?” 

“I was bored,” I say against his skin.

“Babygirl!” Zane cheers while holding a drink. I smile at him and blow him a kiss as I continue to hold David. “What one?” He asks as he attempts to give me his cup, but I just shake my head at him and refuse to take it. 

“Y/N you haven’t come to see my new house!” Corinna acknowledges after I greeted everyone from afar. “I need help decorating and I need some help” I had received many texts from her asking me to go and help her move in and decorate, but I knew it required me to carry stuff. I wanted to help, but as soon as David found out, he refused to let me go. He said he didn’t want me to carry heavy stuff around. 

“I would love to go! When?’ I ask knowing that if I refuse she’ll want an excuse and I defiantly can’t think of one. I also suck at lying and everyone in the group knows so.

“Tomorrow!” I nod and accept then she continues on telling me what she wants and the style she is going for. 

“You can’t tomorrow” David interrupts us as he finishes a conversation with Heath. I frown and pursed my lips at him. 

“Why not?” Corinna asks making me instantly tense up. 

“She has to do something for me,” David says then turns back to filming Zane who had just started drinking for the night. 

“What? Suck your dick?” I laugh earning a glare from David. “You have a schedule even for that?” 

“No. She just has something to do” David protests as he tries his best to brush it off and act like its not a big deal. 

“But she just said she could!” Corinna stumps her foot on the ground and by now everyone is paying attention to the conversation. I close my eyes knowing that it was coming. We are going to be forced to tell them. I still want to wait until next week when we can tell them in a fun way. 

“Dude you suck at lying” Heath adds he prepares drinkings for everyone with a blender. “We all know you are lying. Just tell her whatever the truth is!” 

“I am not lying!” he says but by now he is doing his nervous laugh. Matt, Todd, Jeff, and Jason have joined us too. 

“If you aren’t why hasn’t Y/N said anything?” Natalie points out. I look away from them since  I have the tendency to start laughing whenever I get nervous. “What’s going on Y/N?” She questions. 

“Fuck,” David says under his breath as Heath turns the volume of the music down and asks everyone to gather around. “Y/N is pregnant” He admits and a smile instantly spends across my face.  Everyone quiets down and is silent for a few minutes before Jason starts laughing. 

“Okay. You got us” He laughs as he continues to record the whole scene from a different perspective. Everyone starts chuckling and yelling stuff like “Are you kidding me?” , “You’ve already done this!” , “It’s getting old”. 

“I am serious!” David exclaims, but laughing clearly not believing his friend’s immediate reaction. “Show them the belly, babe!” He turns the camera towards me. “You are all fucking idiots,” he says to the camera. I hate the attention so my cheeks turn crimson red as I grab the hem of my sweater. I slowly lift it causing everyone to gasp. 

“No fucking way!” Corinna is the first to yell before she approaches me and kneels before me to get a good look. 

“David! No! What the fuck?!” Heath yells as he settles his drink on the counter. Matt is shocked,  Jeff is nervous laughing, Toddy has a big smile, Zane has wide eyes and his mouth is hanging open, Scott hasn’t said anything, Erin and Carly are crying and Jonah is laughing like we just cracked a joke. Corinna has pulled the top of my leggings down to completely reveal the belly. 

“I am four months pregnant and it’s a boy!” I reveal causing everyone to gasp once again. 

“He is so small and cute” Erin smiles through her tears as she leans in and hugs me. 

“Corinna enough, he is not a cristal ball baby!” Heath says grabbing her by the hands and pulling her up. I pull everything back in on their place as I get everyone’s congratulations and hugs. Jason is the last and he hugs us tightly. 

“Congratulations guys, I am so happy for both of you” he cries “Being a parent is the most rewarding thing in this world” He whispers to me as he hugs me then turns to David. “I’ll be here for whatever you need” Obviously David makes a joke as soon as he starts getting teary eye. “You know I am basically going to be a grandpa,” He says. I lean over and hug him tightly once again. 

“I love you Jase. I am so happy that we finally were able to tell you!” I cry for a bit. 

“Guys one more thing. We don’t want anyone to find out yet. We want to keep it a secret. I also want to check everyone’s video before uploading if Y/N is in it. If anyone asks you know nothing!” Everyone nods and seems to understand. David has become recently a very public person and this is something that he wasn’t to protect and keep to himself. 

“We wanted to tell you because you guys are our family and we want you to be part of this” I smile through my tears.

“We are having a baby!” Zane yells causing everyone in the room to cheer along with him including us. “how are we naming him?” Heath adds, David only rolls his eyes and shuts off the camera. He wraps his arms around me as we stand in the kitchen and hear everyone shout out names at us.
