I feel like you can tell whether or not an artist has read Wings of Fire. I definitely draw like second instance.
I also think I saw a Warrior Cats post like this? I have it saved somewhere…

I can’t be the only one who’s noticed this
All I remember is getting this thing and thinking ‘that’s kinda familiar’
The real funny thing about watching HJFONE with my cousin is that they’d already watched it prior and had recommended it to me and they told me in the middle of like episode four ‘yeah Airy lives in like the woods’ and I pictured him in the jungle eating bugs and fighting bears when really he was having a gaming session and lived in a shack. so
Tbh I really hate it when a show or a movie is animated and it’s just so. bland. Like ik animation is hard but like take advantage of what you can do when you’re not bound by the laws of physics and shit. Like, I feel like emotions should be conveyed through animation as physical manifestation, not like how it’s done in live action. A character’s emotions are more than just a set, they’re something that is apart of them.
That’s also kinda why I like dhmis, they use more than one animation style and really get creative on how to express the characters and themes and ideas. They really do take advantage of what they can do with different animations styles.
Arcane is also another good show. I haven’t finished it yet, but the animation style is just gorgeous and expressive. The show uses the animation like a weapon, and uses it to its full extent.
This is just my opinion and if you disagree that’s fine. And if you have any shows that utilize animation to express, plz comment them!

It’s a dragon, I guess??? I drew this really badly on paper and decided it deserved a digital re-draw. I didn’t have any further purpose for this thing so I guess it just exists here now.
Hope you enjoy!
