Warnings: Just two useless women fighting off the urge to give in to their desires.

********** With the Rave'N only two weeks away, the workload at Nevermore eased up, allowing me some spare time to assist other teachers. Today, as I was about to conclude my end of the day, I returned to the Office where Larissa stopped me.

With a polite but nervous tone, she asked. "Lia, I wanted to ask if you'd be my date for the Rave'N. But, please, it would be a purely platonic arrangement, and it's absolutely fine if you'd rather not. I don't want to make you uncomfortable."

Before Larissa could spiral into more explanations, I held up a hand to stop her rambling. When she goes silent, I answer her "I'd love to be your date for the Rave'N"

Her face lit up with a mix of relief and joy. "That's wonderful!" she exclaimed. Then, she hurriedly suggested, "Could you spare your Saturday afternoon to come here so we can coordinate outfits?"

"I'd love to"

With warm smiles, Larissa and I now had something new to look forward to. ******* Come Saturday afternoon, I arrived to Larissa's apartment greeted by a sight that left me in awe. Larissa stood before me in a more relaxed state. Her usual pinned up hair was down, cascading gently around her shoulders. Her face is bare of any makeup, which let me see the little freckles peppered along the bridge of her nose, and how pale her lashes actually are. Her clothing is also relaxed as she's wearing a simple shirt and flowy pants that flare at the base.

Larissa eyes me and my put together look "I should have dressed up a little bit knowing you were coming."

"Why? I think you look just as gorgeous like this as you do when you're dolled up."

A soft blush tinted her cheeks "Thank you. Do come in dear, let's get this going."

Following her, she leads me to her living room where she asks me to take a seat. Before she took a seat she asked me if I wanted a drink or something to eat.

"No I'm okay, thank you. Do feel free to eat or drink if you want. Don't stop yourself to accommodate me."

Larissa waved away the offer, clearly eager to get to the point. Taking a seat close to me, she began to speak. "The color theme will be corals, greens, and blues. Our outfits will have to be in one or all of those colors. I have a coral dress I intend to wear. Do you have anything that will match?."

I frowned slightly, considering her question. "No, I don't. I'll need to go shopping to find something."

Lighting up, she exclaims "I have an idea, come with me!"

Without giving me a chance to respond, she stood up and took my hands in hers, pulling me to my feet. With quick movements she practically dragged me to her bedroom. ****

Entering the room, we go over to her walk in closet. I'm taken aback by the amount of clothes she owns. There's rows upon rows of it, and they're mostly pencil dresses. I do spot a suit or two, but for the most part they're dresses. Larissa heads over to a back section of her closet where she rummages for something.

"Found it!" She exclaims as she presents a beautiful seafoam green A-line dress with a sweetheart neckline. The dress is stunning, almost untouched and clearly a piece that saw little wear, if any at all. With an animated touch to her voice she comes closer to me "It's nice to find another person who is close in height and size to me. Especially someone who shares a similar style to mine. Here take it."

Accepting the dress from her with a gentle touch, I ask. "Are you sure?"

"Absolutely. Try it on to see how it looks."

Looking at the dress I ask where I can change. Larissa tells me I can change in here, she'll just step out to give me privacy. Accepting her offer, Larissa steps out. As quickly as I can, I undress myself then slip into the dress. It fits me perfectly.

"Riss can you come in, please?" I call out

Larissa opened the door, peeking in to make sure I was decent before fully entering. "Yes?"

"How do I look?"

Larissa steps in her eyes raking over me. She's drinking me in slowly, memorizing the curves and shape of how the dress fits me. A small smile tugs at the corner of her lips.

"It looks perfect, like it was meant to be yours."

I couldn't help the soft blush on my cheeks "Thank you."

"Would you like to wear it to the dance?"

I nod quickly "I'd love to."

Resting her hands on my shoulders, Larissa smiles "Very well, the dress is yours to wear and keep."

"Oh no I couldn't! It's much too nice for you to give away."

Larissa brings her finger up to hush me "It's a lovely dress but I'd never wear it. I don't want to see it go to waste. Please keep it, wear it, enjoy it."

I thank her again profusely, promising I'll cherish it. Larissa asks me not to make such a fuss, as it's just a dress. Before I can say anything, she brings me out and over to her full length mirror so I can see myself. Gazing at my reflection, I'm left in awe. The dress hugs my figure perfectly, and I look quite elegant and nice. It really would compliment Larissa's Coral dress and her chosen style.

I couldn't help but remark "We're going to look good together."

Larissa, her smile mirroring my own, ghosted her face next to mine in the reflection. "Yes we will." Taking a pause she tells me "I'm going to leave you to change. Come out to the living room afterwards. We'll order takeout or delivery, and just have a relaxing afternoon." *****

After I had removed the dress and changed back into my regular clothes, I made my way to the living room, where Larissa and I settled to spend the rest of the day together. We ordered takeout, watched movies, and shared conversation about life in general. The hours went on as we went from sitting on the floor to cuddled up on her couch.

As dusk settled, the room grew dim, cozy, and quiet except for the sounds of the TV. Knowing I should head home, I gently nudge Larissa to get up off of me. She remains still, and quiet. Peering down to look at her, I notice her relaxed and serene face. She's asleep. Not wanting to disturb her or ruin the closeness, I tuck the blanket around us like a cocoon. Unable to contain myself, I gently run my fingers through her hair, massaging her scalp.

A soft hum of contentment escapes Larissa's lips, and she stirred slightly. "Please stay? I don't want to be alone."

Rubbing her back, I lean in closer to her "I'm not going anywhere." Larissa falls back into her comfortable sleep. I watch the TV until my own eyelids grew heavy and I too, fell asleep. **

Late into the night, Larissa and I both stirred from sleep. We both groaned over the soreness and stiffness from being in one position for too long.

"I'm sorry I fell asleep on top of you" Larissa apologizes

"It's no problem."

She looks relieved, and then an idea struck her "Lia, would you stay the night? I don't expect anything except a comfortable night's sleep with you at my side."

I wanted to say 'yes', but I know what will happen if I stay. "Riss, I want to but we both know that the moment I climb into your bed, we will have sex."

"Would that be such a bad thing?"

I met her gaze, my voice soft and sincere. "No, it wouldn't be bad at all, except for one thing - it's a boundary you set."

She let out an exasperated huff, frustration lacing her words. "I know I said I didn't want to push our attraction, but I can no longer deny how much I want you."

I search for her hand under the blanket, when I do, I curl my fingers around hers "I want you too, but I don't want you to regret it afterwards. I don't want to lose my job...or you."

Larissa leans in closer to me, her lips ghosting over mine "You won't lose me or your job. I promise."
