GOOD NEWS! I'm getting along with chapter 2 of HLITD! I'm just over 1,000 words which I know isn't a whole lot but I've been really depressed and not in a good mind set as of late which has affected my motivation to write. But it's getting there! I really hope that y'all like the chapter!

Posts about rebloging are not going to work

Here is why:

Your major culprits of liking and not reblogging are simply not going to see it. They are coming onto tumblr and searching the tags. They read the stuff that look like fics. They like, they scroll on. Or they hit your masterlist and do similar.

They are not scrolling your blog and will not see it. They are not scrolling regular feed and will not see it. Even if you obnoxiously mistag it so it shows up in those searches, they are more likely to not read it and scroll in search of something fic-looking.

The way to combat this

Self promotion

You can go as far as if you get a like, you queue another reblog. Or you can go with a system I know a few have that a fic gets X number of likes, it gets a reblog.

Or, thinking about a random fic of yours? Reblog it.

Promote your friends & favs

Thinking about that fic your friend wrote months ago? Must be time for a reblog.

The idea of reblogging is to get more eyes on it so more of the fandom can enjoy, yes? So throw it out there at different times so it can catch more people. Do this for your favs and your mutuals.

This, obviously, goes for art too.
