#synopsis: with yeonjun’s birthday right around the corner, you gift him with something he’ll never forget.

this is my partaking in @majestyjun’s yeonjun’s 24th birthday event! i unfortunately wrote this at last minute with how busy i’ve been so it’s really short but i hope you all enjoy! happy reading! ^^

once or twice has yeonjun mentioned his birthday coming up and what he’s wanted for it. he wasn’t very specific on what he wanted because he’d be grateful for whatever you’d gift him, even if it was nothing but your presence.

he’s been nothing but a kind hearted boyfriend to you, always accepting everything you’ve done for him with open arms and a loving smile. he’s never been rude nor has he been unappreciative.

you’re just happy to finally give back to him with all the love he’s given you.

yeonjun has always liked sunsets. he loves the sight of seeing the sun lower itself into another day, enjoying the time he’s been alive. it gives him a fresh feeling of bliss and life.

so that’s what you’re deciding to do for him. for his birthday, he shall receive a fresh feeling of bliss and life on his day of life.

you’re walking behind him with your hands covering his eyes, “keep your eyes closed,” you say with a small grin decorating your face.

he chuckles lightly, “my eyes have been closed this entire time, y/n,” walking with his arms spread out to feel his surroundings.

you both begin to approach the area you’ve prepared, slowly coming to a halt. “okay, you can open your eyes now!”

you remove your hands from his eyes, allowing him to see what’s in front of him, he nearly breaks into tears.

in front of him, a beautiful picnic blanket resting atop your apartment building’s roof, right in front of the beautiful sunset.

his mouth is agape as he takes in everything in front of him, the sunset, the quietness, and your presence. knowing that you got this together in your freetime while he was at work.

“do you like it?” you ask, with genuine curiosity lacing your voice.

he turns to look at you, mouth still agape while sucking in shallow breaths. “i… i love it. it’s perfect.” he gulps, blinking his tears away.

he sniffles, “nobody has ever done anything like this for me before,” letting his tears finally fall.

your eyes soften, going in to embrace his figure. you coo into his ear, kissing his temple and combing through his pretty, onyx locks with your fingers.

he wraps his arms around your waist, placing soft kisses and whispering small thank you’s into the crook of your neck. he’s still sniffling, but now his sniffles have turned into sobs.

“thank you y/n, so much. this is the best birthday gift i could ever receive. i love you, a lot.”

you wipe his face, staring deeply into his eyes. connecting his forehead to yours, you respond back, “i love you too, jjun.”
