I was born in Kazakhstan but raised in Germany by German/Russian and Russian/Mongolian parents, so I grew up speaking a mix of Kazakh, Mongolian, and Russian - with a dash of a German accent. Every time I speak Russian, people also ask, “Where the hell did you learn Russian?”
