After some further examination, I think this window in the main chamber is the one from the photo I vaguely remember since 1. Cal had been holding a cable in the photo and 2. If you go up the hill to that window he’ll be right in front of the light, lining up the shot

@animatedjen I wish I could remember where I found the photo - it was beautiful, probably floating around Tumblr, Reddit, or Pinterest - but I think the window in question is in the crystal caves on Ilum (there are more than one, since the sunbeams are used in the puzzle). I took this screenshot from the IGN gameplay video and I think this window might have been the one:

(timestamp is 6:08) If you can get Cal to stand the right way I think you can get a shot of Cal’s backlit side profile. If it doesn’t work at that window, you could try one of the others.
