The global marketing and technology agency DigitasLBi has analysed how Twitter users responded to the headliners’ sets at Glastonbury. They calculated the sentiment of each tweet, deciding whether each tweet was saying the performance was great or horrible. Florence + The Machine, Friday night’s headliners, are the winners of Glastonbury, based on the gap between positive and negative sentiment during their set. At no point do negative sentiments come within even 10 points of the positive tweets. Such a heart-warming piece of statistics after that pre-Glastonbury avalanche of criticism!
