I Get The Feeling (note: Gut Feeling, So Take This With A Massive Grain Of Salt Since I Don't Have Sources,
I get the feeling (note: gut feeling, so take this with a massive grain of salt since I don't have sources, just a feeling) that lots of this might come from within the LGBT community in some weird 'oppression olympics' 'I can't be bigoted I'm [insert marginalized community here]' beliefs.
Just because you think that a different marginalized community is less oppressed than you doesn't mean they're not valid (operative word here is think!!), and it definitely doesn't mean that you should...create more of the oppression and hostility that you think (or just claim) they don't experience????
Ace people are valid, real, and also seem to experience so much bullying from people who should be their allies (I think that's why it's been bad here on tumblr). Marginalized communities should stick together, not...marginalize each other more.
"tbh we might have clowned on [aros & aces] a lil too harshly" bigotry. the term you're looking for is bigotry. denying communities their vocabulary and ability to safely exist because you think you're the personal arbiter of which identities are "valid" is bigotry. minimizing and infantilizing and harassing entire groups of people based on their orientation is bigotry. aphobia isn't some forgettable phase of being cringe as a teenager, it's bigotry that inflicted long term damage to these communities.

Ai can be fun to use as a chatbot but DO NOT USE IT IN PLACE OF ACTUAL WRITERS OR ARTISTS because that is SUPER DISRESPECTFUL and also basically plagiarism when considering how AI works (trained off of the works of others and thus incapable of truly uniqueness or originality) .
Hi,
It’s your friendly neighbor fanfic author here. In the light of this apparent new trend of people feeding unfinished fics to AI to get an “ending,” and some people even talking about “blanket permissions,” let me just say this:
I EXPLICITLY FORBID ANYONE TO FEED MY FICS TO AI. DUDE, THAT IS ABOUT THE LEAST RESPECTFUL THING YOU CAN DO. IF YOU DO IT, SHALL YOU BE EXCOMMUNICATED FROM YOUR FANDOM AND WALK ON LEGOS BAREFOOT TILL THE END OF DAYS.
That is my anti-permission.
Thank you for your attention.
“But it’s demeaning” honestly I would feel less undervalued working as a porn actor than I did when I worked at a grocery store
Puritanism is getting worse around the globe and conservatives and fascists will absolutely be first going harder against porn, then use that against queer people. You HAVE to realise this and oppose anti porn measures and laws, be in solidarity with sex workers, and listen to them when they call this shit out. It's going to be vitally important.
Voters in both England and France just used tactical voting, and voted for candidates they didn’t necessarily love to ensure that the unacceptable candidate would lose. And kept the unacceptable party from taking power.
Like. In the last four days, both of those elections happened.
The left wing alliance in France saw LaPen’s party winning in the first round of voting and hated that so hard that 138 of their candidates who were in third place — and could have split the vote — dropped out, and told their voters to vote for the one that would stop the RN from taking control.
It worked.
People in the UK went aggressively tactical. The Labour Party has turned to be much much more centrist in the last five years. Got voted for anyway, because it got the Tories out.
It worked.
I don’t know if Biden will stay in. I don’t know it’s the right choice for him to stay or go. As interested as I am in politics, this is an incredibly complex thing and one of the most important decisions of the decade.
But y’all. Don’t care how that goes. We’re voting to prevent the fascists from winning.
there is a huge difference between criticizing an institution and criticizing individual behavior. i can criticize the makeup industry without criticizing the 14 year old girl who uses concealer because she’s self-conscious about her acne; i can criticize the plastic surgery industry without vilifying the woman who decided to get a nose job after two decades of pointed comments and bullying. it is intellectually dishonest to respond to an institutional criticism as if it were a personal attack; on the flip side, it is cruel and unnecessary to leverage personal attacks in the name of institutional criticism
if i see one (1) more person respond to a perfectly reasonable beauty-industry-critical sentiment with “but i personally enjoy eyeshadow. why are you attacking people who like eyeshadow :(” or “exactly, all women who wear makeup are miserable and brainwashed” i am going to climb a tree and bite the top of it
dear USAmericans,
VOTING WORKS!!!
French people showed up, French people voted, turnout was higher today than it has been since 1997, and we kicked the far right to 3rd place
a week ago, the far right was the biggest party in France, we were slated for a far right parliament, prime minister, and government
this week, we voted against them en masse and we won!
VOTING WORKS!
you're up next in November! it's very rare we get to say this, but this one time, take example on the French! show up and vote!
because VOTING WORKS!
