This blog will combine three things I love dearly: writing, talking about writing, and aesthetics. So if you have an amazing OC for which you crave an aesthetic moodboard or Instagram page - tell me all about them, and I will make you one! After all, every writer needs fanart.

Aw, thanks for the ask!! Three random facts: - I love exploring new media! I have periods where I get really into theatre or concept albums or whatever and try to discover exactly how they work, how they are made, what their tricks are. - I’m an animal person. With fur or without, if it is willing to be held, I am holding it. - I’m playing around with gender in my appearance more and more and I’m loving it!

Thanks for tagging me, @cauldron-stories! I’m flattered :) TOP 3 SHIPS: I’m not much of a shipper, but I support these:
* Jon and Martin from The Magnus Archives (how could I not) * Eleanore and Chidi from The Good Place (hell yeah, healthy romance in which the characters actually have fun together) * Achilles and Patroclus from A Song for Achilles (it’s all just so poetic)
LIPSTICK OR CHAPSTICK: Chapstick. I really like how lipstick looks on other people but I’m super bad at make up and at this point I’m too afraid to ask.
LAST SONG I LISTENED TO: I’ve been listening to a lot of The Mountain Goats lately. Sometimes you just have to find some weird lyrics to yell along to, I suppose.
READING: I’m reading Bridge of Clay by Markus Zusak, and it’s wonderful! I love his writing style.
Tagging: @teaspool, @ezrasaysokay, @mo0-mo0 and @thestarstho. I know I’ve never talked to you all, but I’m interested!
I was tagged by @thanatasia.
Rules: Tag 4 people you’d like to get to know better.
Top 3 ships:
Gurjin × Rian (Gurjian)
Rian × Mira (Mirian)
Rian × Deet (Stonegrot)
(I seem to have a favourite character … at least for shipping …)
Lipstick or chapstick: Neither.
Last song: oh, what a vague question all on its own …
Last song that I listened to: either Andrew Bird – Skin Is, My or Within Temptation – See Who I Am, I don’t remember.
Last song that I played on piano: Starset – Echo
Last song that I sung: Coldplay – White Shadows
Last song that I played on piano and sung: Evanescence – Your Star (in the original key and octave. I’m a madman, I do that.)
Last movie: frankly, I don’t remember. The last movie-like thing that I watched was Doctor Who series 4 episode 6 ‘The Doctor’s Daughter’.
Reading: two dozen tabs of unread AoR fanfiction open on my computer … and I’ve started on the Dark Crystal novel series but I’ve only read Shadows so far – Song is on its way, though, and I’ll probably get it in the next couple days and dive right into it.
I tag: @tickfleato @venterry @lilac-city-skylines @redrosessoulcabin (let me know if you’ve done this already)
This is fun, because I always write stories with a lot of POV's. So:
Elementary: Tungsten, Silver, Phosphore, Tin and Zinc.
Waterways: Alba, Paco, Mikel, Josephe, Kalliope and Imanol.
hey, guys! do me a favor! reblog this post and tell me the name of the main character for the wip you’re currently working on!
I have ephita! These small rodent-like creatures (except for their beak) have the ability to read the desires of other nearby creatures. That’s how they sense hungry predators!
I have fjordans! They are somewhat like horses, but thinner and longer, with scales on their bellies and instead of manes. They can run incredibly fast! The little ‘wings’ on their legs help them decrease speed dramatically within seconds. Their nickname ‘cliffdiver’ stems from the fact that wild fjordans can be seen sprinting towards cliff endings. They will stop at the last moment, making it look like they are intending to jump.
I have wren! I have mooncats (spoiler alert: they are nothing like cats)! I have coulags and sentri!
I think the world needs more fantasy novels with completely made up animals. No more “horses.” No more “rabbits.” Deer can stay but ONLY if they’re weird. All wolves must have wings, NO exceptions. No more laziness, its time to Make Shit Up. I expect your heroes to be riding scaly civets with antlers by midnight. I demand a survey of wildlife in the nearby forest that leaves me with no idea what a single word you said meant. I want CREATURES WITH FUNKY NAMES THAT YOU MADE UP OUT OF YOUR OWN HEAD. I want to be UNABLE TO PRONOUNCE THEM. I want all of your RODENTS to be POISONOUS for NO REASON. I deeply desire GIANT BIRDS. I hereby sentence you to five hours on Wikipedia reading about the Carboniferous period and hydrothermal vents.
If you can’t be creative, at least reskin some dinosaurs. It’s time to decide what kind of man you are—the kind that would let his evil overlord ride a tyrannosaurus, or a coward.
The first story has been written! It is about a forest and a pair of black riding boots. On top of that, let me reveal one more character: Elliot, the ‘awkward apprentice’, has a talent for luring memories from objects. He has the gentleness and the patience that is required for so delicate a task. But sometimes Gabri worries about him. So many of these treasured objects come with memories of grieve, of lost lovers or lost friends or lost parents. And experiencing all that sadness and anger, even if it is secondhand? She is just not sure if he will have the stomach for it.
So… I am thinking of creating a podcast. It would kind of be like the Magnus Archives, in the sense that every episode is its own small story (and maybe connected to a larger frame?). Only instead of horror, it’s urban fantasy, loosely inspired by Scottish mythology. And instead of an Archivist, it is told by Gabri, a women in her early thirties running a small antique store. She uses magic to pull the memories from objects; memories she assembles, smooths out and collects. Prepare for a lot of faeries, magic lore, awkward apprentices, extravagant antique-sellers, apparitions, foggy autumn feelings and summonings. Would this be something you people would listen to?
