It’s quite interesting for me that a little comic can shed a new light on to a well beloved character. Like dunno now I see Pearl in a new way and she can do whatever she wants. Greg is probably very guilty and Pearl is very alone and they both are very soggy sad and lost post-Rose. If this is the way they figure out how to move on (which is quite messy and weird and probably toxic but that’s how people are) then so be it.

Also I think that we all (including myself) are looking a bit too deep into this.

anyways, may take on it is: you don't have to consider any of rebecca sugar's sketches "canon," because it's not actually in the source material. rebecca may have a strong influence on how the fandom sees the characters but it does Not actually change the show. so getting worked up about it in the first place is ridiculous.
