Being a man in this patriarchal world is hard because it demands so much from them, be it good grades, being good in sports, a six figure salary and ability to take care of their family. It is exhausting all the same and when they fail in any of the aspects they are treated as weak.

Yet, somehow the issues for women do not even start there. For a college going boy his priority at the start of the day is paying attention in class and getting good grades but for a girl the priority is to get to college safe, from assaults, from catcalls, from stares that mean nothing but will for dominance and ownership, to ruin.

She needs to be able to get past these to even focus on the academic aspects of her life. Then again sitting in the classroom there might be times where she can't focus because the boys are not letting her and when something goes wrong it's always her fault. Why did she have to wear such clothes? Why show some much skin? It was bound to happen. It is never the boy's fault since it is their nature but the girl should have been careful, right? How dare she think of her own comfort when the boys are around? How dare she sit like that even if she knows she will be harassed? She shouldn't have talked to them in the first place, right?

How about instead of blaming our women, start educating the men?
