thinking about the fact that even the way Din expresses love is to keep himself hidden..... he loves his son so much he was willing to remove his helmet in front of a bunch of imperials and nobody will ever know. the kid will never know what his dad did for him and Din purposefully wants to keep it that way because he doesn’t want to burden him with the weight of that love.... he is willing to destroy himself in private for the people he cares about and all he asks in return is that they look away when he does it.
