Have The Rest Of The Siblings Actually Seen Five In Action? Do They Have Any Idea How Deadly He Is?
have the rest of the siblings actually seen five in action? do they have any idea how deadly he is?
ok i know there was a bit at the end of season one when they were being attacked by the commission people and they saw him briefly the. he’s told diego and luther that he is more dangerous than hazel and cha-cha who the rest of the accademy fought so have so idea of how good they are. they also should know he help his own against both hazel and cha-cha and then against lila who they all figured was pretty dangerous by that point. diego knows he killed those guys in the doughnut shop and then the board of directors but he didn’t actually see how it happened and when they were fighting the sweeds diego was probably too busy being attacked to see him. i guess luther saw him fighting his older self but was probably to distracted from being kicked to really notice. i don’t know how many missions he went on but he was only 13 then so anything they remember from then isn’t really a good representation of how he is now
i just want a scene where they are cornered by a big group and five’s had enough a just slaughters them all and his siblings look at him with incredulity as they realise just how glad he’s with them and not against them

really love that the lightning thief set percy apart as overpowered from the get go like twelve years old and he beat the literal god of war in a sword fight?? zero training and killed the minotaur with its own horn?? twelve year old percy could do laps around every single character why do we keep pretending as if there’s actually a debate to be had over which demigod is the most powerful smh

Percy Jackson Headcanons
I love the idea that Percy is just a little *too* inhuman because of his godly parentage. Like, all demigods have that tiny inhuman edge to them, but sea demigods are straight up lovecraftian.
- Percy has shark teeth/fangs. They only come out when he wants them to, but he uses it to hunt live fish and then eat them raw.
- Toxin. Do you know how much Ocean stuff has toxin? A lot. Percy has paralysing toxin in his teeth and he can produce a toxic slime from his arms like a blur-ringed octopus. He gets a headache/toothache whenever he doesn’t use it for a while and he’s taken to using into his already cooked meat to feel better
- Percy glows in the dark. Like any ocean predator luring their prey, Poseidon’s children do the same thing. He has definitely given more than one camper a heart attack by wandering the beach, at night, looking like a vague glowing form, singing.
-On singing: Siren! Percy. He sees absolutely nothing wrong with it and will sing at his windowsill like some disney princess except he accidentally charms a horde to him. Sally and Poseidon have banned him from doing this in front of others because he caused a traffic jam in NYC
- Unfortunately, Percy also has Sonar. Did you know a whale’s sonar is loud enough to liquidfy your insides? Percy is Not Allowed to use his sonar on land because he could accidentally destroy Camp. He uses it in Tartarus to kill a horde of monsters and Annabeth’s ears bleed.
- Percy straight up has a 50/50 chance of either eating or saving the marine animal he’s asked to save. He goes to save a seal from a net, but it’s really tangled up and it’s bleeding, and like a shark with blood he just attacks. His shark teeth tear it apart in seconds and the sea suddenly is super wary of him.
- Percy gets gills and webbed fingers whenever he’s in water for more than 5 minutes and it’s Luke who discovers this when Percy gets pushed of his canoe on his second day. Percy was wheezing for the rest of the day as he slowly readjusted to breathing on land again, his skin all slimy like an eel with a few scales, and it’s a miracle Poseidon didn’t claim Percy then.
- Percy’s siren song rivals Aphrodite’s charmspeak. Percy has absolutely used it on Mr D to make him think he’s Ariadne so he can raid the Big House fridge, and Mr D doesn’t even remember it. Apollo pestered Percy into singing for him once, and even though he was literally bleeding ichor from his ears, he fell in love with Percy. Poseidon got Eros involved for him to stop crushing on his son. Percy is not allowed to sing for any god anymore.
-Percy has a bad habit of putting salt in everything. Tea? Coffee? Water? Straight up 12 salt packets. Nobody can drink his stuff cause it’s too salty.
In a fanfiction I had someone say that if it weren't for Percy's fatal flaw of loyalty, he never would have sided with Olympus at all, or drown a bunch of children in a river. That he picked sides based not on what his morals or beliefs were but based on which side had people he was already friends with. And I spinned the loyalty flaw in that way.
i see that, but again i don’t think that’s necessarily true. I just think he has a strong moral compass. He’s ANGRY at the gods, and i genuinely believe that if he knew people wouldn’t get hurt in the process, he wouldn’t hesitate to go against the gods, but hurting innocent people goes against his morals. he feels no loyalty to the gods whatsoever, his drive is to do the right thing, which in every instance has just so happened to be in favor of the gods. The ONLY reasons he didn’t side with kronos is 1) he didn’t want to cause destruction and death, and 2) when you boil it down, he didn’t agree with the fundamentals of kronos’ side. I think at one point in the hoo, percy actually mentions something about sympathizing with luke (correct me if im wrong), and as we can see throughout that series, he is tired of everything related to the gods.
he’s constantly trying to keep himself in check, like with akhlys, like when he’s just about ready to kill nico in tlo, we see it in his inner monologues, the scene in ttc with thalia, the scene in tlo with luke where percy gives him the knife, the scene in moa where he is with annabeth before her solo quest. In all of these situations, percy is struggling to be in control of the situation. he has a constant desire to control the things around him, which stems from his upbringing (being abused and bullied will do that to a person).
a lot of his story is spent in a battle for control, and when he loses control of a situation (think akhlys, or that scene in boo where he is suffocating in the poison) is when things start to become fatal. if it wasn’t for annabeth in the scene with akhlys, he would have completely snapped and lost it, and there’s even a quote there where he explains that “something inside him shattered” or something along those lines. who knows what he would have done after that, but im willing to bet it wouldn’t have ended well. Ironically, he has to control his desire for control constantly.
I think one of the things that makes this flaw so deep is the fact that “control” encompasses so many things! Control includes his loyalty, his recklessness/impulsiveness, his rage, his power, his emotions, and way more!
and the whole “loyalty” thing is experienced by other characters, too. Annabeth jumping in front of the knife in tlo stems from her loyalty to percy. Percy trying to save annabeth in moa (which ultimately fails, but) stems from his loyalty to her. Clarisse fighting in the battle of Manhatten after silena dies stems from her loyalty to silena. thalia not joining kronos in ttc stems from her loyalty to family (annabeth). luke making the decision to take the knife and end it in tlo stems from his loyalty to the promise he made (despite getting a little lost along the way).
I don’t think it’s fair for his flaw to be loyalty when its not properly explored, and so many other characters also experience the same sense of loyalty.
a lot of this is just rambling, but it’s 1 am and think this gets my point across enough? in conclusion, loyalty is something he struggles with control over, therefore, it is just a small piece of his fatal flaw, control.
for all that talk about percy’s fatal flaw being his loyalty, it really wasn’t that relevant
