You were sitting at your desk reading, you had come in thirty minutes early.

“Y/N!” Tony called from the elevator entrance. You looked up from your desk.

“Hey,” you responded, putting your book away.

“You're early.” He walked towards your desk.

“Yeah, it’s quiet here.” You looked at him.

“It was quiet when I got up.”

“I got up an hour before you. Remember?”

“That’s right.” He kissed you on the forehead, and went back to his desk.

“Good Morning, Tony, Y/N.” Ziva said, walking into the bullpen.

“Morning!” You called.

“We’re still doing the Christmas movie, right guys?” Tim asked, walking in.

“Yep, from my family to yours.” Tony said.

“I can’t wait!” You exclaimed.

Gibbs walked in, “Body in NorFolk. Grab your gear.”

You closed the file of paperwork, “Case closed.”

“Movie?” Ziva asked.

“Ready whenever you guys are.” You said.

“Let’s go.” Tony said.

You got up, and headed to MTAC. Tony wrapped his arm over your shoulders as you both walked.

“I love you.” You said, looking up at Tony

“Love you too.” He responded

Once you entered MTAC you headed for a seat towards the back. Gibbs hadn’t been told that you and Tony were dating so this way you and Tony could snuggle without having to tell him. Tony dropped back once you both entered.

Tony’s perspective

“Nervous?” Tim asked.

“A little,” he chuckled. “But I’m sure everything will be fine. I hope.” You had never been so nervous but Y/N was your whole world, and you were finally gonna pop the question. You wanted to do it right before the movie started, in front of everyone. Tim, and Ziva were the only ones who knew. You wanted to tell Abby but she might have spilled the beans. You turned on ‘It’s a Wonderful Life.’ and paused it.

Reader’s perspective

Tim and Ziva turned to face you when Tony paused the movie.

“Tony, what the fuck are you planning up there?” You asked.

“Come here.” Tony said.

“Why?” You asked.

“Just go, Y/N.” Ziva said. You got up out of your chair, and headed to the front.

“What do you want?”

“This.” He got down on one knee and pulled the ring out of his pocket. Your hands flew to your mouth as tears started to form. “Y/N Y/L/N, I have loved you since the day we met. Your smile alone brightens up my day. The smile you manage to have no matter how bad your day is going or how much I annoy you. So, Y/N, will you let me wake up next to you each morning, annoy you every day, and spend every night with you by marrying me?”

“Yes! Fuck yeah!” Tony stands up and pulls you into a hug as he places the ring on your finger. “I am one lucky woman.” You say. Abby ran up and hugged you tight.

“Congratulations!” She yelled.

“Abby, I need to breathe.” You said.

“Sorry!” She released you from the hug. Gibbs got up from his seat and walked over to Tony.

“You think your sly, DiNozzo?”

“No Boss.” Tony said, quickly.

“Good.” He said, giving Tony a quick head slap. He winced. You look at Tim and Ziva,

“You two knew?” You asked, knowing the answer already.

“Yep!” Tim shouted. You smiled before everyone headed to their seat. Tony unpaused the movie and headed to the seat next to you.

“I love you.” You said.

“I love you too.” Tony said, pulling you into a kiss.

Healing is hard work, it’s not all light and bubbly, it can be so draining. So if you are putting in the work and feeling super tired and drained, that is normal. Sometimes healing is a gentle warm wind and sometimes it’s a very dirty window that takes sweat, endurance and tears to clean. Some days it can feel like you’re barely keeping it together. And I just want you to know that it is okay, it is normal and it won’t always be like that, but you can hit these periods of time, and that you will get through them. Please do not give up. And if you feel yourself breaking and falling apart, know that you can be rebuild and sometimes falling into pieces is how we create a new self. Healing is not about going back, it is about going forward. 🌸
