Your heart throbs at the nickname, forcing you to squeeze your eyes shut in what you refuse to acknowledge as regret. In the hallway, you hear your boyfriend shuffle his shoes off and place his belongings down.

Sinking into the armchair of your living room, you hope it would swallow you whole. “Ah, Jagi, I’m so tired.” He notices you slumped into the cushion and joins you, laying his head in your lap and stretching out his limbs, letting out a quiet groan.

You sigh. You allow yourself this moment — one last moment, with him.
