i like to think the people of teyvat have little aspects that make them different from other nations, that connect them with their element, even for those without visions.

you can't glide faster than a mondstadter. its a given fact in teyvat, everyone knows the wind favors them most. thats why their kites always fly the highest, their gliders always the swiftest. also, sometimes their steps are unusually soft. not entirely inaudible, but you can tell that they're fainter than that of another nation. when a mondstadter sings, everyone else can hear a faint echo, like the wind was singing with them.

on the opposite end, the people of liyue are more attuned to rocks. their steps feel more heavy, like they land on the ground with more weight than most. they feel the vibrations on the rocks just a bit more than the normal person, and to a skilled miner, the ores almost feel like theyre singing. most liyueans have no trouble scaling mountains, always able to find a foothold, always finding the ground beneath their feet.

inazumans can hear a thunderstorm a mile away. there's a certain buzz in the air of inazuma, like its always faintly filled with electro, and an incoming storm means the static flares up by just a little bit. inazumas are also quick on their feet, not soft or faint like the mondstadters, but their movements are abrupt, especially in combat. their most popular sword style, taken from the shogun itself, is a sword slash as quick as lightning. any soldier hoping to master weaponry is taught it foremost.

the people of sumeru are bits of both the dendro archon and king deshret. the people of the rainforest have a hard time in the desert, finding it too dry, too much sand, too exhausting for their taste. in the same way, the desert people dislike the climate of the rainforest, it's just a bit too humid, too cool in so many places, too many leaves that shut out the sun. but neither side can compromise on the fact that if their bodies were to try the opposite climate longer, they'd acclimate to it much better than they think.

fontainians have more connecting them to the waters than any other region. but i like to think pieces of their connection to fontaine's great lake remained even after the judgment. fontainians have a hard time holding back tears, always a bit too heavy. their swimming skills are incredible yes, but its also because the water always welcomes them. its almost like an embrace, as though something familiar was connecting them to the sea. it often rains in fontaine, but they're never deterred. their clothes are used to getting wet, their drainage systems are more advanced, and their people know the rain better than anyone else.
