Yoongi tightens the small stuffed bear around his fingers. He’s contemplating his options as he stands at the foot of the living room. You’re sitting on the couch, hunched over and sobbing. You made it very clear you weren’t going to fight back as you reposition yourself. You ignore your manners as you lift your feet, hugging your knees in the process. 

Yoongi couldn’t care less about your disrespectful actions of propping your shoes onto his cashmere couch. Training would be on another day. He wanted you to just stop crying. Your shaking form on his couch was making him feel bad for ever taking you from your lovely abode, but how could he not have you?

How can a world-renowned Mafia leader not have a significant other? Someone who he can lean on? To bear his line of succession? You were perfect for him; quiet, naive, innocent. 

Yoongi saw your terrified eyes scatter throughout your surroundings. Hopefully you were impressed by the lavishly furnished living space. His home before was minimal, enough for him to feel at peace. He had hired an interior designer the second he knew you were the one. The space was brought back to life with imported paintings and exotic rugs; he did it all for you.

Yoongi released a huff of air before taking a step towards the couch. He tilts his head in a kid-like manner before proceeding his route in your direction. You didn’t even notice his figure inching towards you as your sight was blinded by your tears.

You didn’t want to be here. Your life was adequate; calm. Working at a cafe meeting hundreds of people every week barely paid your rent, but it was enough. You didn’t mind scraping by. A bed to sleep on and food in your stomach was adult living in your opinion. 

Realizing you’d probably never return to your quaint apartment ever again, you sob harder into your hands. This man you’ve only known through his coffee order stood before you, silently watching your distress. 

“You’ll get comfortable here soon enough. It will take time.” His words were laced with hope as he carefully sits next to you. He waves at the guards; gesturing for them to leave them in privacy.

You ignore the man, too afraid and stubborn. The pain you felt overwhelmed you enough to continue the tears flowing down your face. 

“Please take this. A ‘welcome home’ gift.” His arm stretches out to you. The small stuffed bear in his grasp. You embarrassingly wipe the tears with the back of your hand, your eyes focusing on the plushie. You might as well do what the kidnapper says.

You meekly lift your arm, reaching out to grab the stuffed animal. Your fingers dance around his, trying to make no contact whatsoever. The plan was futile as his other hand wraps around your wrist. You immediately tense up, your bewildered eyes staring at him wondering what he was going to do next.

“Don’t be afraid. This is going to be a good life, I swear.” His eyes focus solely on yours, making you fidget on the expensive cushions. He lets go, allowing you to take the bear and retract your hand away from his.

“There’s no reason to be scared, okay?” Yoongi mentally gags. He’s being too soft right now, but he’s adamant on winning you over no matter how disgustingly cute he has to act. He closes his eyes, scrunches up his face, and pouts his lips out. You take note of his efforts to make you laugh, but you go for a soft smile instead.

“See, how can you be scared of this face?” He relaxes his features and laughs at himself. 

You inspect the doll, flipping it over and turning it around. Returning your sight on the man next to you, you decide that you’ll try your best to accept this fate. It seemed he had no intention on killing you, just yet, and his home spoke volumes on how much money he probably had. All you had to do was compromise. What can you do to show him you’ll be good enough so he wouldn’t hurt you?

Yoongi was baffled when your arms fly around his neck. You still have not said a word as you snuggle closer into his shoulder. You hold back the tears as you realize this is your life now, and the only person who you can save you is the person who took your life away.

As long as he knew you were willing, he won’t hurt you, right?

“See you’ll feel right at home in no time baby.” He rubs your back, his shoulders relaxing as he can finally plan the honeymoon. 

“How do you feel about Dubai?”
