Satan did as his stepmom recommended and waited a day before going to see MC.
It was late morning the next day when he walked to House of Lamentation. In truth, he hasn't left the castle at all since his race change. Unlike other angels or even he himself when he was a demon, the blonde didn't seem to be able to switch to his less supernatural form. Lucifer surmised that it was likely a mental block; the newly-turned angel has been through a lot after all and still had a lot of internal struggles stressing him out.
Whatever the reason, the former Avatar of Wrath was stuck with his angel wings out. Satan didn't want anyone outside of his family to see him like this, but for his Kitten he will accept the blatant stares and whispers by the other demons out and about.
Once he arrived at his original home, the man began searching the rooms. The living room. MC's bedroom. The kitchen.
Eventually, the man found the his girlfriend in Asmo's room, curled up in bed and asleep against the lust demon's chest.
Asmo made a sound of disgust.
"Really?"
"Rosie, I'm sure he's trying his best." Solomon said from the other side of the room.
The sorcerer was at the far end of the room, working on what seemed to be a makeshift alchemy table.
Satan raised an eyebrow.
"What are you making?"
"MC's potion." The other man said simply before corking the vial and turning to the others. "In all honesty, I wish you both would have come to me sooner about her growth issues."
"You know how to help her?" The blonde asked incredulously.
"Of course." Solomon spoke as if it was obvious. "Her condition may be somewhat rare, but she is not the first human to experience it; after all, witches have centuries of experience traveling between realms and problems do occur at times."
All of MC's suffering...it could have been avoided if he had only asked Solomon for help. This angel felt like the shittiest being to ever exist.
When he discovered Diavolo's own knowledge on MC's condition was limited, he simply assumed there wasn't much to be known on it that was readily available. I mean, this is Diavolo, the Princess of the Devildom and powerful descendant of the Devil we are talking about. It always seemed like if an answer was to be found on something that she either held it or held the answer to finding it.
So to find that out that humanity held the key to ending his poor Kitten's suffering instead? That he overlooked something so incredibly obvious?
Because he definitely did. He was so focused on what he, a former demon, did to his sweet Kitten that he searched for help from other demons. It never clicked to him that this was a human problem that other humans would have a solution for.
Honestly...Satan felt like he failed MC in this moment.
As the sorcerer approached the bed, Asmo shook the human's shoulder.
"MC, sweetie, it's done."
The woman groaned.
"Kitten?"
MC's body tensed up before she peeked open an eye.
"Satan..."
Solomon sat on the bed next to his boyfriend and the human.
"Not to break up this reunion, but I believe you need this." He said as he extended the small vial out to the woman.
The human sat up before slowly taking the dark blue glass from her friend.
"So...this will stop the pain when my belly grows?" She asked softly.
"It should keep your growth from exceeding what you can handle." The sorcerer explained. "You'll still grow somewhat quickly, but not enough to cause the previous pain you were in. You may still have some bad cramping on occasion though."
Solomon turned the blonde, who was still in the doorway.
"I'll give you the prescription so you can make the potion for her here on out; she will need it once per day."
Satan merely nodded as he watched MC bring the vial to her lips and hesitantly tip the bottle to drink the dark liquid.
Suddenly, the woman coughed, seemingly choking on the drink for minute.
Her boyfriend rushed to her side, panicking.
Before he could say anything however, the coughing fit had ceased and the human turned to the sorcerer.
"Sol, that was disgusting." MC complained. "You could have at least given me a heads up."
Solomon smiled slyly.
"But would you have drank it?" He asked. "You won't even eat my poor Rosie's meals when you know for sure he has added abyssal shrooms."
And when they don't tell the woman? She eats the meal without complaint. The way the sorcerer sees it, you simply have to work the most efficiently with the pregnant woman.
Satan sighed as he lowered himself to the bed. His Kitten was going to give him a heat attack one day, he swears it.
But for now...she's okay. That's what matters most to the man.
His gaze fell to her belly, which held the child that he may not necessarily want, but the soon-to-be father knew that he also wronged.
"Tawny?"
The blonde pursed his lips before grabbing her hand.
"I...I was terrified of what you were going through." He said softly. "Though I still should have never asked you to do something I could just...feel deep within me that you wouldn't do."
Satan brought both of their hands to her belly.
"I'm sorry. I will do what I can to control my fear for now on."
MC started to smile at her boyfriend--started.
Things changed quickly within a second.
Suddenly MC leaned forward and groaned in pain, which quickly turned into a scream.
"Kitten?!"
The blonde's hand was moved off his love's belly, something he almost swore he felt done by a kick.
His brain was not focused on that in the moment though. Satan was holding his sweet Kitten close and asking what was wrong while Asmo freaked out next to them.
"Satan, get back." Solomon commanded.
"Wha--"
"Do it."
And so the angel backed away from his poor Kitten till he was against the wall.
Solomon reached over and very gently lifted up MC's shirt, revealing her belly to be riddled with dark, ugly bruises.
Gradually, the woman's pain subsided. Asmo held her close and spoke comfortingly to the understandably scared woman.
Satan went to rush forward but Solomon put up a hand to stop him.
Just what the hell was going on? What did his sweet Kitten just go through? Not to mention, literally after finding a solution to their last problem?
And most importantly, how can he help her now?

It was the next day that MC had gotten a call from Mephisto.
"Hey..." She murmured into the phone. "I'm sorry I fell asleep on you the other day."
"...MC, you literally had another man reach into and manipulate your soul in order to read it's properties." The nobleman spoke in disbelief.
Does the woman really not understand how dangerous and extreme what she went through was? Was it better that she didn't?
"Yeah, I know but..." The human's voice trailed of as she laid a hand of her belly.
In truth...she was just feeling self-conscious about having to be taken care of and knew as her pregnancy progressed, this apparently very special pregnancy, that she will likely have more times when she will have to lean on him when she is more used to having him lean on her.
Mephisto huffed and shook his head on the other line.
"Look, just don't worry about it." He told her before pursing his lips. "I...listen, I need you to come to my home after dinner today."
MC raised her eyebrows. Despite their long, weird friendship, the human has never been to their boyfriend's home before.
"Uh...why exactly...?"
"My parents...have received Lord Diavolo's message and wish to speak with both of us." He explained. "Though I do believe they have ulterior motives, I also believe they do want to meet the woman I am risking so much for more."
Oh. Oh devil. I mean, meeting your partner's parents for the first time is often not the easiest thing in the world, but when they already hate you and blame everything going wrong on you and literally wanted you dead but MC doesn't know this?
This was honestly really scary for the woman.
"Mi corazón, it will be alright." He cajoled. "I will be right beside you; you'll be safe."
"What if they grow to hate me more?" She asked. "I don't want to be at odds with your parents forever."
These people wanted to kill her and she is worried about their opinion? Okay, he realizes she doesn't know that, but the man still finds her words a bit ridiculous.
"Now is not the time to worry about how they feel." Mep tugged her back down to reality. "Just...I need you to come, listen to what they have to say and then we will get you a safe distance away from them."
"Do you really think they would hurt me?"
In truth, Dia's message has bound their hands somewhat, but Mephisto didn't want to chance anything, especially with his mother; just like the snakes she controlled, you never knew when she was going to strike.
"I don't know," He spoke truthfully. "But I'd rather take no chances, alright? Now, I'll send a car to pick you up around 6:30pm (18:30) later, alright?"
The human nodded into the phone.
"Alright..."
~
The car came around later that evening, just as Mephisto said it was. She stepped inside and rode in silence, arm around her belly as she stared out the window.
Was it...stupid that she wanted Mephisto's parents' approval? In truth, she just didn't want anymore fighting. She didn't want Mephisto to deal with his parents' anger and disapproval, didn't want her babies to grow up without grandparents or around drama and hostility.
If only she could just fix things...yet she was at a loss. How could she when in their eyes, MC and her children were the very problem? This is a problem that the human just can't see herself getting passed.
Once the car pulled up in front of a mansion--a mansion that could easily rival Diavolo's castle in size. MC stared at the building from her seat, suddenly intimidated.
Like yeah, she knew her boyfriend and his family were wealthy because because let's face it, Mephisto used to make his family's money a big part of his personality. Still, this wealthy? Like, Diavolo?
The driver opened her door for her, knocking the pregnant human out of her thoughts.
This was the first time MC had really focused on the man who drove her all this way.
This man looked to be in his early twenties by human standards and had medium reddish-brown hair long enough to tie in a tidy ponytail that laid against his shoulder. His horns looked like twigs and were angled in a waysl that the dark brown sticks hid within his hair.
He wore half-frame glasses over warm brown eyes and wore a professional outfit; black slacks, a long sleeve dress shirt, and a dark maroon vest with a bow tie on his somewhat scrawny figure. To top off the look, he had a tail the same color as his vest wrapped around his waist, whether for practicality, as a pretend belt or a constant hug, who knows.
He extended a gloved hand and a polite smile to her.
"Please allow me."
MC hesitated and stared at that the giant mansion behind him, causing the man's eyes to soften.
"You will be with my master; I promise you will have nothing to fear."
The human bit her lip, but accepted his hand.
Suddenly, her vision went bright just as it had in the past and all external sound silenced before the scene filled in.
The man who was originally in from of her and smiling so kindly at her was now at the bottom of what looked to be a snake pit. The man was younger than he appeared outside the vision and was screaming as various snakes coiled around him and bit him till eventually he was paralyzed where he laid.
The man couldn't even blink, but tears still slid down his cheeks as he listened to something big slither from down the dark tunnel in front of him.
From dark emerged a woman, long violet hair, dark eyes that glowed the same violet shade, part of the top an impressive tall figure, the more humanoid half. The bottom half was a long snake-like tail that dissipated into smoke before showing off her long legs.
The woman cut through the pile of snakes like it was the most natural thing in the world and approached the paralyzed man, who was practically a boy in comparison to her.
She leaned in and whispered into his ear.
"Let's see how long you can survive with me."
She takes a long fingernail down his ripped shirt, tracing a line all the way down to his clothed waist.
Her eyes stare down into his, holding a gaze that only be described by MC as evil and mischievous, before gently grabbing at the man's pants and leaning into his neck with her fangs for a bite--
"My lady? My lady?"
The vision was over and MC was back in front of the mansion, her hand in the servant's as she panted and cried from what she just saw.
The human looked up at this poor man, the same man she watched suffer in her vision, and noticed the scarring on his neck, some puncture marks looking like the bite she saw him receive.
It happened. That happened to this man. Oh devil. He couldn't have been more than what? Eighteen? Nineteen physically when that happened to him? That's how he appeared in the vision anyway.
The man in front of her put a gloved hand on her cheek guiding her to look up at his warm brown orbs.
"What is wrong? My lady, are you hurt?" His voice was soft and his hand her cheek was incredibly gentle. Who could ever hurt a man like this? "If have offended you in someway, I do sincerely apologize, truly."
And he did sound so genuine, despite having done not a single thing wrong. He was such a kind and sensitive man...
"No...no..." MC tried to steady her breathing as she wiped the tears from her face. "I...I-Its been hard lately and I guess it just randomly overflowed. I...I'm so sorry; you shouldn't have to see this."
This was the best excuse the woman could give in the moment and in truth, it was a plausible one. After all, no unexpected pregnancy is easy, let alone one where you are recreating the first generation of humankind and having visions of the past--apparently even others' personal pasts.
The man drop his hand from her cheek and stared in pity for a moment.
"I apologize. Do you need a moment alone before we go inside?"
MC took a deep breath before shaking her head.
"I'm fine. Really." MC extended her hand out to him, hoping he would take it again so they could proceed.
The man stared at her for a moment before softly nodding and taking her hand once more.
He carefully helped her out of the car and wrapped another around her back as they climbed the stairs to the front door. It was a protective touch, one out of necessity. After that surprise outburst in the car, the man worried that his master's girlfriend might not be at her best today and did not want her hurting herself. He was respectful with it and the touch ended as soon as they were safely at the top by the door.
Once here, he led her into the foyer where Mephisto waited for her.
The nobleman had stopped pacing just in time not to be caught by his girlfriend; something she surely would have scolded him for if she noticed. Such excessive movement really wasn't good on his bad leg, but it was all he could do to release the nervous energy in situations like this.
As soon as he noticed them walk in, he quickly approached his love, meeting both her and the servant in the middle of the foyer.
"There you are." He took her hand. "Did you eat dinner before you came?"
MC shook her head, refusing to look at him.
"I...didn't really have much of an appetite, if I'm honest..."
Mephisto huffed.
"Those stupid--" The nobleman cut himself off; he can't allow himself to say things that will just upset her right now. "The brothers should have made sure you did. They love to brag how they take care of you, but now that you are eating for more than just yourself, they seem to be slacking."
"Mep--"
Her boyfriend let go of her hand and instead wrapped his arm around her, pulling her close.
"I'll make sure you and the babies eat after this." He promised, rubbing her small belly. "You are not going without, alright?"
Despite everything, his words brought just a little peace to her heart. No matter how much chaos it felt like was filling her day, from her worries about her kids, to her visions, to her impending meeting with her in-laws (she and Mephisto weren't married, but she was carrying his parents' grandchildren so they were pretty much her in-laws), his words gave her feelings of stability and comfort.
Mephisto looked to his servant, the man who drove her here.
"I assume there was no issues? That her ride was comfortable?"
The younger man leaned in and whispered into his master's ear.
Mephisto suddenly had a pained look on his face.
"I...thank you for letting me know, Dorian. I appreciate it." He told his servant.
"Can I do anything else for you two, master?"
"No. We are at risk for running late as it is. Just...thank you again for your help."
The servant, Dorian, gave a small bow before leaving the couple.
Mephisto leaned in and kissed his girlfriend.
"I'm sorry you're having such a hard day." He told her. "Hopefully...hopefully this will be quick and we can move on."
"D...Did he tell you about what happened in the car?" She asked softly.
He nodded.
"It's perfectly fine to be stressed out about everything--"
"It's a bit more than that." She explained. "But like...we'll have to wait till later to talk about it."
Mep pressed his lips to her forehead.
"Alright." He agreed before speaking firmly. "Now I need you to listen to me before we go in there; we need to establish some ground rules before you even step into the same room as my parents."
"Mep...you make me feel as if I just stepped foot into a mafia boss headquarters."
The worst part about that comparison was that what very little Mephisto knew about various human mafia groups did not conflict much with his own family so he could not deny it.
Instead, he pursed his lips for a moment before he continued.
"First, stay next to me; behind me preferably." He began. "Second, do not speak unless spoken to and even then, keep your responses short. I will try to answer most of their questions."
Devil, her heart was pounding and the human couldn't tell if it was all from the situation she was about to walk into or if some of it was still from the vision she had out in the car.
Regardless, she had to move forward.
With his arm still wrapped around her, the nobleman takes his girlfriend down the east hall and into the second room down on the right, into the drawing room.
Here his parents waited for the couple, standing with their gaze towards the door.
MC froze in the doorway as soon as her eyes fell on her mother-in-law.
Tall. Long purple hair. Dark abyssal purple eyes.
She was the woman from her vision. The one...the one who hurt Dorian.
"Mi corazón?" Mep called out to her, but the human couldn't hear him.
Luckily, her boyfriend already had an arm around her so when the human passed out, Mephisto caught her easily enough.
"Well isn't she dramatic?" His mother spit out venomously
And that, along with her boyfriend's pleads, were the last things she heard before the world went dark.

Mephisto ran to his love's side, stumbling a bit as he ran faster than he could move properly with his cane but he didn't care.
Barbatos stepped away from the woman just before the boyfriend made it in front of the gasping woman.
MC felt as if she was just chiseled out of a glacier. Even the nobleman could feel it as he touched her arms; despite her normal complexion, the human felt deathly cold.
Mephisto quickly took off his jacket and slid it over her shoulders before taking her hand on his and pressing it against his warm chest.
"Mi corazón? What happened--" He winced as he suddenly noticed the pain in his leg.
"M-Mephisto...I'm fine." She promised. "N-Now p-please...sit d-down."
You gotta be kidding me. Even after whatever the hell she went through, she's still worried him and his leg. If he wasn't so speechless right now, he'd be calling her an idiot for her ill timed concern.
It wasn't just her though.
Lord Diavolo pulled a chair right next to MC's and gave a sympathetic, almost strange sort of look.
"Please listen to MC, my friend."
Mephisto pursed his lips before temporarily letting go of his sweet human and shakily taking the seat as was asked.
The nobleman immediately pulled her back towards him though, embracing his girlfriend in hope of warming the poor woman.
He glared at the butler.
"What the in the devil's hellish mind were you doing?"
All etiquette went out the window in that moment. Even though this was in front of Lord Diavolo, Mephisto didn't care. He needed answers to what the hell he just saw, to what his pregnant girlfriend just went through.
Dia frowned.
"Vocabulary aside, I agree with Mephistopheles." The prince told his butler. "I would also like to know what it was that we walked in on."
Barbatos pursed his lips.
"I would rather not say as of yet." The butler explained. "I feel it would be disrespectful to MC to speak on the matter without her saying her piece first. However, I will mention that I received her full consent before using my magick upon her."
Trusting his friend, but also wanting to make sure his other one has a chance to speak, the prince turned to MC.
"Is this true?"
The woman nodded before hiding her face in her boyfriend's chest.
Mephisto stared in disbelief.
"Why? What did you let him do to you?"
He adjusted her in his arms, making the human reveal her face when all she wanted to do was hide from him.
"I..." The woman gave a big shiver, causing the man to quickly rub her back in hop the friction will help warm her a bit. "E-Ever since I b-became p-pregnant...I've been s-seeing things, M-MepMep."
The nobleman's eyes widen and he laid hand against her cheek.
"What kind of things? Mi corazón, please."
"Translucent b-beings float in an e-empty world." She spoke softly. "B-But over time, it became less and less empty...and...before you picked me up earlier, I had a-a vision with them dancing, these dark and light b-beings holding hands and d-dancing as they sang a melody in a foreign language that sounded...familiar t-to me."
Mephisto could only stare. What the hell has been going on with her head to cause that?
This made no sense to the nobleman. These...'visions' of hers were nothing he had ever heard of and most certainly weren't something from his family. Then what's happening to her? What's happening to his sweet corazón?
With MC's side of things spoken, Barbatos stepped forward.
"After confiding in me about these visions of hers, I realized what their cause may be." The butler explained, cool and composed as always. "However, considering the...severe rarity of the condition, I had to be completely sure before speaking such aloud and therefore needed to perform some ancient magick."
Surprising the couple, but not the butler in the slightest, the prince gave Barb a stern look.
"Barbatos, what did you do to her?"
"I indeed used soul magick." He confirmed the prince's suspicions. "If it is any consolation, my lord, it seems my own suspicions are correct; history is repeating itself."
Diavolo raised his eyebrows.
"Please clarify this realization of yours."
"MC's soul is surprisingly more pure than we could have ever expected." The butler explained. "We understood her soul was angelic thanks to Ms. Lilith; however, the average angel soul is simply never to this level of purity."
The concern on the prince's face was obvious, which only made the couple more stress.
"Hold on a minute." Mephisto interrupted. "What are you saying? Humans do not have angelic souls; their souls are heterogeneous mixtures of dark and light magick."
MC tensed in his arms as Diavolo turned to his old friend.
"MC...is a very special human." He explained just as he has many times over the years. However, this time he actually continued. "Many years ago, I saved Lilith, Lucifer's sister, from the brink of death by turning her into a human in exchange for his loyalty. By doing this, the woman's very genetics changed, but her soul did not and it seems to have affected the soul MC has developed, if not Lilith's other descendants' as well."
"I--and when was anyone going to tell me this??" The nobleman quickly looked down at his girlfriend, just to find her hiding in his chest. "Why didn't you say anything to me after all this? About any of this?"
"I'm afraid now isn't the time for such questions." Barbatos gently inserted himself.
And he was right. MC was so cold and stressed and overwhelmed; the last thing the pregnant woman needed was her boyfriend barking questions at her.
Mephisto sighed before leaning towards her ear.
"I'm sorry." He whispered before kissing her head and looking back at the other men. "What does any of this mean then?"
Dia sighed.
"It means...you are both recreating the first generation of humanity, just as my ancestor the Devil and the Celestial Father once did."
Mephisto's heart sank.
"How is that even possible?!"
"It's the result of your souls." The prince explained apologetically. "Your family is well known for its purity of the dark magick in their souls. This paired will the apparent purity of the light magick in MC's own soul has resulted in you both having children like the since-extinct first generation of humanity."
Children?? As in plural?? And how will this make them so different from modern humans?
Before Mephisto had the chance to ask any of this though, Barbatos chimed in.
"I suspected this was the case because the visions she spoke of contain images of the Primordial era, essentially the earliest days of the past." He explained. "Early humans had the power to see the past, a gift given to them by their parent the Devil."
"A gift the Celestial Father was threaten by." Diavolo frowned.
After all, why would He be happy with His lover giving their children the power to look into His secrets?
The nobleman's mind was racing. This--this was a lot for him to process after all.
"I...I don't...f-feel too good..." MC said suddenly, sounding weak.
Mep's eyes widened and he tightened his embrace on MC as his gaze snapped down to her.
"Mi corazón?"
"Barbatos," Dia looked to the butler. "Bring her inside and draw her a medicinal bath to help her warm up."
"Yes, my lord."
Barbatos stepped forward and gently peeled the weak but clingy woman from her boyfriend before guiding her inside.
"Don't worry, my friend." Diavolo assured him. "MC will be fine. The coldness felt on her is a magically induced phantom type. Her body feels no true affect from it and so it is mostly her mind that is tired; she and the babies will be fine."
"Is it truly definite?" He asked, gaze till staring in the direction the butler and his pregnant love went. "Is there really more than one child?"
"Considering the nature of this pregnancy, I would be more surprised if not." The prince explained before taking a seat next to his friend. "There's no need to be concerned though; as powerful as you and MC are, neither of you are at the same level as my ancestor and therefore I would imagine the amount would be something much more manageable on her human body."
The nobleman released a big sigh and hid his face in his hands.
He...really wasn't acting like himself today, but in truth, he couldn't care less. Everything was starting to feel out of his control.
As long as Mephisto can remember, he always wanted to be a dad and husband, be the greatest man possible for those he loved. That was a dream of his since he was young.
However, he was completely falling short of the man he wanted to be. He felt like chaos continued to brew like a storm against his poor corazón and he was doing such a terrible job of shielding her from it, mostly because he's been left in such ignorance.
It felt as if he's been spending so much time trying to fix one leaking spot on a ceiling while on the other side other house, part of the roof ripped off and poor MC has been rained and stormed on all alone.
"My friend, everything will all be fine." Dia assured him.
"I need to take care of that idiot..." He said from within his hands. Like always, he didn't really believe she was stupid; he was just hurt and frustrated. "How can I do that when she hides things like this from me?"
"MC is simply not used to being taken care of." The other man explained. "You just need to be patient with her. For now, you know what she held and more; now you can protect her even better."
Mephisto raised his head and nodded.
"I...I suppose so." He agreed.
"Also, a word of advice." The prince put his hand on his old friend's shoulder and captured his gaze. "Do not tell anyone about this. Not about your children's...'special race', not about the purity of MC's soul, and especially not her visions."
Mephisto pursed his lips.
"I trust you, but what specifically will come of it if others find out it?"
"My friend, you are a noble from the family leading the Traditionalist political party." Dia spoke as if it was obvious. "If others find out that the son of the leader of the party known not only for demon elitism, but also historically for prohuman sacrificing and human slavery is not only mating with a human, but is also literally recreating the first generation of the so-called living mistakes of my ancestor, your family will become a target by your own allies."
Shit. Mephisto didn't think of that.
"We also cannot risk anyone else knowing about MC's visions of the past." He continued. "She may not be able to control them right now, but that won't matter to anyone with secrets to hide and that would be our whole court. Others knowing about her soul could also help lead to others to these conclusions and we cannot allow that."
Devil, things just kept getting more complicated. Can't the realms just leave his poor corazón alone?
