Moving out at seventeen years old to take on university in the big city? Simple. Taking on a multitude of presentations in both a school and workplace environment? However, like most people, there’s something that you constantly struggled with and that was relationships—most specifically the different milestones that come along with the whole honeymoon stage, those first moments when two people start to learn about each other in order to pick up on their quirks and habits, their likes and dislikes.

It’s the stage that you’re definitely still in with Min Yoongi. Now, don’t be fooled, you love the honeymoon stage with Min Yoongi. Even with the distance that is often carved between the two of you through his travels and promotions, writing songs, music videos, having to engage in constant communication with his fans—all of which he loves dearly, and you know this and you respect this part of his life—he still manages to text you and call you whenever he can if only to get in one or two words about his day. It’s through this that you learn of how much effort he puts into everything that he does, a gesture that really only makes you fall more in love with him.

But through all the excitement that comes with discovering all the little pieces that make up an individual, it also brings into light the apprehension of how a person would react to certain events. It’s from this that you realize that perhaps the only thing that could generate a nervous sensation in the pit of your stomach is the thought of your boyfriend.

Hoseok took a stapler to the stomach, the nearest thing to Namjoon’s clammy hand clasped over his mouse. He caught the hunk of metal with a wheezing laughter, collecting himself enough to place it down without stapling his polo to his stomach.

“Do you have a volume setting I’m unaware of?” The younger hissed.

The red haired man straightened proudly, fingers tucking into his front pockets.

you’re drowning in love and embarrassment at the same time.

nervously glancing around, you finds your friends staring at you with disgust. there are also strangers happen to be there to but their looks are quiet different. some are admirable, some are normal and some are jealous...

“mark i can do it!” you whisper into your boyfriend’s ear as he’s busy putting your trench coat on for you. “no no baby, it’s your birthday and you don’t have to do anything.” he remarks while doing the buttons. despite of the numerous gazes of people in the restaurant, you look down at him in awe and your friends are about to throw up at the table.

“i know y’all are jealous with me and my princess, but you may go home now. thank you for joining the dinner.” mark straightens the fabric on your shoulders with his hands as he secretly announces that he needs some private time.

“princess,” haechan mocks mark with a snarky voice and stands up. “this is unbelievable,” johnny adds before putting his hat on and the other shakes their heads at the sight while they walk away. “thank you for the gifts again!” you call out as they gradually disappear behind the corner.

“let’s go princess.” mark offers you his hand and you hold on it tightly, give him a genuine smile. mark puts his cap on with his other hand and hangs your handbag on his shoulder.

he leads you to the park nearby and you sit down on a bench. “the first time i saw you was here.” he says and strokes your forearm soothingly. you nod and hum in acknowledgement. you were doing a volunteer work back then at this park and mark happened to passed by while you’re struggling with some heavy boxes. not only the packages, he also helped you with your charity work although he’s just a passerby and then you’re friends, to lovers.

“can you close your eyes and turn your back at me?” he asks suddenly, making you wonder in curiosity what he’s doing. however you oblige his command and do as you’re told. your lashes flutter as a cold metal loosely wrapped around your neck. a necklace.

mark grabs your shoulder and turns your body back so that you’re facing him. “alright open your eyes.” your eyes lower as you take the necklace into your fingers and tug it slightly, there’s a silver watermelon charm. “happy birthday my love,” he says in delight and you glare up at him, “it’s a little hard to make but i hope you like it.”

you gape and widen your eyes, “you made this?” your forefinger points at the jewelry hanging on your neck. mark nods furiously and you want to bite on the either sides of his cheeks right away at his cuteness. “i love you and i don’t know how to say it in the most genuine way so i suppose i’ll give you my most favorite thing ever.” he looks so joyful and passionate when it comes to watermelon. sure he is.

abruptly mark takes off his cap, turns it backward and puts it on you. you smile softly as his hands hold on your face, stroking your cheeks with his thumbs. you tilt your chin up when he leans in closer for a kiss, his lips feel like heaven on yours.
