“I pray for you, you know” I hear my sleepy boyfriend mutter as he run his fingers through my hair, we were having a movie night which means cuddles and that is how I ended up on the chest of this guy I give all my love to.

“Do you? Can I know what you pray for?” I ask back, interested to what his silent whispers are to the heavens

“Well every night I just thank God I found you, I pray that even in the times that it gets hard we would find a way to make it work. It works because look at us now” I don’t have to look up to him to know that a smile is on his face right now

“I used to not pray, with all the things that happened in my life at some point I just gave up believing. But when I met you, I couldn’t wait for the day end so I could thank the heavens that I did” I replied, I felt his hand stop making me look up to him.

Mark was already looking down on me with those big eyes that holds the universe, or atleast that’s how I see them.

“Thank you” he whispered, I know those two words encompasses more than a simple thank you. It’s tough to be in a relationship like ours, there are times when I can’t help but ask if it was still worth it. But one look at him I knew, I know I would rather have late night calls, different time zones and difficult schedules than not have him at all.

“No, baby. Thank you. I know you’re tired but thank you for never getting tired of this” words that I often remind him, that I’m thankful for him no matter what.

“Never of you, baby. I feel like my life is always so on the go, it’s always do one thing after another I feel like I don’t have time to breath and appreciate everything but with you it feels like as if I can breath easier and everything just slows down” he took my hand that was resting on his chest and held it

“Why are we being cheesy again?’ I asked with a smile on, my comment made him blush and avoid my stare

“Oh so now you’re shy, you are a wonder Mark Lee. One second you tell me you’re thankful for me and now you won’t even look at me” I tease him some more making him hide his face with his arm

“Can we just watch the movie and cuddle?” he asked with a cute pout that I know he wasn’t even aware he was doing. I gave him kiss before cuddling back on his chest, his arms tightening around me.

and that’s how I know all of it is worth, he was and always will be worth all of it.

Jeno usually isn’t the clingy type of guy, if anything he has people clinging to him. But since he’s been sick these past few days, my sweet sweet boyfriend had been resembling a little puppy needing attention all day everyday. 

I’m not complaining really but I had classes for the whole day and couldn’t check up on him. Jaemin promised to watch him but he stopped texting me update since noon so I was a bit worried. 

Quickly making my way to their dorm after class, I tried calling Jaemin but he wasn’t picking up and so was the rest of the boys residing in the dorm. 

I rang their doorbell twice and waited for someone to answer, 

“Is that you, Y/N? Please let it be you” I hear Na Jaemin scream from inside

“Oh thank god it’s you” he said when he saw me standing outside, “Why weren’t you answering my calls?” I asked him

“You’re boyfriend wouldn’t let go of my arm, I need to go to the bathroom. He’s still in his room” he said as he ran away

I made my way to Jeno’s bedroom, when I entered I really couldn’t see him since he’s under a pile of blankets.

He moved around underneath and called out for his bestfriend, 

“Did Y/N text yet? Her classes are done by now” he said, his voice still hoarse  and you could definitely tell he had a stuffy nose. 

I made my way to his bed and took the vacant space, “Hello, you were looking for me?” I asked him with a smile. 

He quickly popped his head up from under the blankets

“Hi” he said with a loopy smille on, I swear I felt my heart melt. Also, I don’t get how he looks this good even though he’s sick. 

“Hi, are you feeling any better?” I asked him, putting my hand on his forehead to check, “Yes, Jaemin cooked some soup”

“Did you drink some medicine?” he just nodded at my question, his eyes were already closed again, probably enjoying the feeling of my hand running through his hair

“Do you want anything, need anything else?”

“Cuddles” 

I really couldn’t say no to him when he’s being this adorable. So I took u p the space beside him, him still being under the thick blanket and me on top. 

“Missed you today” I hear him mumble

“I was gone for like 7 hours”

“That’s still too long” I feel his arm wrap tighter around me, making me smile a little bigger

“You’re cute like this, who knew you could be this clingy” I told him, I didn’t hear a reply from him but instead he just cuddled closer to me

After a while I feel him relax a bit, his arm were still around me and my hand still running through his hair

I hear someone knock on his door gently, 

“Noona, Jaemin hyung cooked some dinner” Jisung said, standing by the door

I gestured to the sleeping but still clinging on to me Jeno, the younger one nodded in understanding. He closed the door behind him gently, slowly I felt myself get a bit more sleepy, before completely dosing off I hear Jeno mumble a thank you

“Huh? what did you say, love?” I asked him quietly

“Nothing, just saying thank you for taking care of me” 

Instead of saying anything else, I just cuddled closer to him too. I feel him sigh in content before both of us drifted off to sleep.

“I don’t think I can decline his calls anymore, he’s blowing up my phone. I feel bad” I said while looking at my phone on the counter, 20 texts and 12 missed calls from the birthday boy himself.

“You’ve made it this far, don’t ruin it for yourself” Renjun said then took my phone away so I don’t get tempted to answer my boyfriend

“You think you’re the only one suffering? We have to hear him whine about how much he misses you. The hyungs kicked him out of the dorm so he hangs out at ours just to whine some more” Jeno said while tying another balloon while Jaemin was beside him trying not to pass out from blowing air in the balloons. Jisung and Chenle long gave up and is now just playing on their phones

Renjun pulled my phone from his pocket, he rolled his eyes before putting it back

“it was him wasn’t it, let me atleast send a text”

“No”

“But I didn’t even greet him last night” I pouted, I waited for it to turn midnight only to remember i was pretending to ignore him. A bit mean yes but I’ve been planning this surprise for weeks. 

“Just a few more minutes, You’ll live”

So that’s what I did, busying myself with fixing the decorations and foods. They were still at the studio, trying to keep Hyuck there for as long as they can while we set up at their dorm. Everyone was in on it.

Pretending not to greet the maknae of the group, the rest of 127 felt bad but they wanted to surprise him. 

After a while we received a text from Doyoung saying they’re in the parking lot, about to ride up the elevator. I quickly told the dreamies, each of us scrambling around to find a hiding spot.

I turned the lights of and hid by the sofa, 

“You’re stepping on my foot” I hear Renjun mutter

“Sorry”

“Ouch that’s my foot” Jeno said a but louder

“Can you guys keep it down?” I whisper shouted at them

“Are they near? Jisung is suffocating me” Chenle said, in no way lowering the tone of this voice

“GUYS I SWEAR JUST-”

“I’m telling you she hasn’t answered any of my calls, is she mad at me? did I forget our anniversary again?” I hear Hyuck’s voice, already smiling to myself. I didn’t realize just how much I missed him, especially today 

He has not seen the decorations yet since the lights are off, but the moment he turned it on we all jumped out of our hiding spots and screamed surprise.

Disbelief written all over his face, his eyes landing on me

“You! I though you were mad at me” He said, stomping on his way to me before pulling me in a big hug. Not caring that everyone is now teasing us,

“I’m sorry! I wanted to greet you last night but then I remembered I couldn’t but I swear I said happy birthday to you at exactly midnight” I mumbled, my face buried at the crook of his neck and my arms around his waist

“Are you two done? I don’t want to throw up before eating” Renjun said, Hyuck just turned to him with a glare before throwing a balloon at him. The two play-fight while the rest started to dig into the food we prepared. 

After successfully riling up Renjun he turned to me again, looking around for a second before pulling me to the direction of his room

“I can’t believe you ignored me on my birthday” he said while kicking the door behind him, “I was going to surprise you” I reasoned out, looking up at him while I was sitting down on his bed

“Whatever, next time atleast say a goodmorning to me”

“You’re too cute, I missed you too” I said, throwing my arms around his shoulder then gave his cheek a kiss

“I got you something by the way” I said, untangling myself from him then getting the gift I placed on his table

“Here open it” I said then gave it to him

In it was a sunflower I sketched myself and put it in a frame, 

To my sunshine was written at the bottom,

“Do you like it? I can’t think of anything you might need since you can buy it so I thought about making something for you”

“Thank you, it’s really pretty” he said while still looking at the drawing

“You’re welcome, baby. You always give me sunflowers so I thought about giving you one too” this time he turned to me, he set the drawing down before tackling me into a hug. I’m now lying on his bed with him on top of me, putting my arms around him I hugged him a little tighter

“Happy birthday, Hyuck” I whispered, he pulled away a little bit so now we’re face to face

“Thank you, for this. For the surprise. I love it”

“i love you” i whispered, a smile on my lips. He smiled down on me before leaning down to kiss me, it felt like I was the one getting a present. 

“I love you, too” he replied when he pulled away

“You two better not be doing anything in there” we hear Johnny scream from the other side, 

Hyuck looked down at me again before giving me a quick kiss then pulling me up with him. 

There isn’t a gloomy day with him, it’s like the skies gave me my own sunshine. He warms me up with his hugs, cuddles, when he laughs i feel warm all over. It was his birthday but it feels like I was the one given a gift. 

WIth a tight quick squeeze on my hand, Hyuck pulled me with him to walk back to the living room to celebrate with his friends. A night full of happy memories and laughter.

“You did what?!” Donghyuck asked, voice slightly rising

“I adopted a puppy, I just can’t take it anymore. I see him everyday and all of his siblings already got adopted. Once you see him, you’ll know what I mean” I said through the phone, trying to justify my sudden but sure decision.

“Still, baby. Having a puppy is a big responsibility”

“Look who’s talking about being responsible” I sarcastically replied to him, looking at the little puppy currently running around my apartment

“What are you talking about, I’m responsible enough” He defended himself, I could just imagine the look on his face right now

“Uhuh, I had to call Johnny the other day to make sure you actually slept and not play your game all night like you always do” I countered, he was about to say something else when I hear another voice call for him from the other side of the line

“I will be meeting that little guy tomorrow, he better not take my place”

“No promises, I mean he’s really cute” I teased him to which he replied with a whatever then hung up. My laughter over my boyfriend’s actions made the little pup run over to me

“What should we call you huh? You’re so cute” I told the puppy, him excitedly wagging his tail

A day later, as promised someone was frantically knocking on my door

With a straight face on I opened it, coming face to face with an energetic Hyuck

“Normal people knock once or twice then they wait” I deadpanned at him, with a quick peck on my forehead he preceded further into my apartment

“So where is this little guy who’s threatening to take my place” the sound of Hyuck’s voice made the said puppy run from where he was to where Hyuck was standing, excitedly jumping up on his leg

I could see the little smile Hyuck was fighting, deciding not to tease him yet I let him pick up the puppy

“Hey little guy, what’s your name?” he asked, the puppy wagging its tail in excitement clearly already getting fond of the guy holding him

“I haven’t named him yet, any thoughts?” I asked stepping closer to the both of them to pet the puppy on the head

“How about Coco?” he asked excitedly

“Like your virtual pet dog Coco?” I laughed but finding the name cute, and perfect for the little chocolate colored puppy

“Yea, he kinda looks like Coco. You like that? Coco-ya” he said then let the little puppy down on the floor

“Coco” he called to which the puppy barked back to as a reply

“Guess we’re calling him Coco now”

Watching him play with Coco told me he’s more fond of the puppy now, “Just yesterday you were against me adopting him” I said to him from the couch where I was currently sitting on, watching the two play on the floor

“I wasn’t against it, like I would ever dare to tell you what to do. I was just saying how having a puppy is a big responsibility” he answered, not taking his attention off of the puppy

“I take care of you” i mumbled

“Are you saying I’m like a puppy?” now his attention is on me, pulling on my leg so now we’re both sitting on the floor

“Are you saying i don’t take good care of you? want me to tell mama Lee about your late night gaming sessions?” i asked back, he put on a big smile before engulfing me with a big hug

“Aigoo, look at my caring, loving and responsible girlfriend. She’s the best, isn’t she Coco” he asked the puppy who paid no mind to the two of us, too busy with his toy

“You just don’t want me to tell your mom” i mumbled against his neck, him still holding onto me

WIth a smile on his face and a quick peck on mine, he returned his attention back to Coco. 

I smiled at the sight before me, he said Coco better not be taking his place but it looks like the puppy was stealing my spot. Hyuck being quite enamored with the little fluff ball, throwing the little toy I bought then giving him belly rubs. Suffice to say they are both enjoying the little play time. For now I let the two play seeing that both of my favorite boys are enjoying.
