Cuddles ~ Lee Jeno
Cuddles ~ Lee Jeno

Your smile widened as soon as you walked into the dressing room and saw Taeyong pointing across to Jeno, who laid fast asleep on the sofa at the back of the room. Everyone was having to work around him as they prepared for the broadcast, fixing strands of hair, or a mark of make up every time he turned over or adjusted his position.
“You couldn’t try and keep him still and comfortable, could you?” Taeyong asked, making a bit of room for you on the couch.
You happily nodded, taking a seat beside Jeno’s head, pulling his body up so his rested into his lap, “how long has he been asleep for?”
“Most of the day, said he was up late last night, so it’s his own fault really,” he chuckled.
You frowned, looking down at his peaceful face. His lips were slightly parted as they always were when he slept, his hair was a little bit of a mess. Despite being fast asleep, as soon as he felt his head move, he recognised instantly where he was, resting his hands over your legs as he picked up on the familiar smell of your perfume right beside him.
“What are you doing here?” You heard him mumble, surprised that he’d even figured out that it was you. Slowly, his eyes opened so he could see you, making sure he didn’t rub them with his hands to ruin his makeup.
“Did you forget today was the day I was coming to watch you perform?” You asked, but already you knew the answer. His heart dropped as you stared down at him.
Time had well and truly run away with him recently; he was sure there was still a few more stages to do before the one that you’d be attending.
“I’m sorry, I knew you were coming, I just didn’t realise it was today, otherwise I would never have fallen asleep. Are you mad at me?”
Your head shook, adjusting a few of the strands of his hair that had fallen loose, “I’m not mad at you, because I know you’re working hard. I’m madder that you’re not resting enough and falling asleep at work, you shouldn’t be doing that, you’ll get in trouble.”
“I can’t help it, I’m just so tired.”
“How long have you got until you need to be ready? A couple of hours or so?”
He glanced up at the clock on the wall, “we start filming at five, so probably about two hours before they’ll start calling us to make the final adjustments.”
“In that case, why don’t we just lay here for a bit and you can catch up on your sleep?” You offered, laying your body down beside his on the sofa. “You need to rest to perform well.”
“But you came to see me, I can’t just fall asleep, that’s hardly fair on you.”
Your head shook, wrapping your arm around him to encourage him to sleep. It didn’t take very long before he was curled up closely into your side, tucking his head into your shoulder. You smiled softly as a few of the boys walked past you, allowing your hands to play with the ends of his hair, knowing he’d have to get it fixed anyway before he went on stage.
“Who’s going to explain to noona why he’s a mess?” Lucas asked as he walked past the two of you, sitting down on the floor to enjoy his lunch.
“That’s all on him for not sleeping at all last night, I’m taking no part in the scolding that he’s inevitably going to get because of this.”
You laid for quite some time with Jeno laid firmly across you, as soon as his head hit you he was out like a light as he tried to catch up on some sleep, coupled with your lips pecking against the side of his face constantly, it was impossible for him to wake up.
“He talks about you all the time,” Lucas hummed as he watched the two of you interact. “He might be a bit of an idiot sometimes, but he really does care for you. I know he’ll feel bad for forgetting you were coming today, it’s all he’s been able to tell us about for the past couple of weeks how excited he was to show you around.”
“You guys all work so hard; I was pretty sure he was going to forget anyway,” you chuckled, careful not to disturb him too much. “I’ll make sure that he repays me for forgetting though!”
After laying for nearly another hour, the room began to get busy again as people started to prepare for the stage. Jeno was still fast asleep on top of you, but you knew if he wasn’t going to get into anymore trouble today, he needed to awake up.
“Jeno,” you whispered, lightly shaking his arm, but his body failed to move. You looked around the room as Taeil walked past you, smiling innocently to get him to help you.
“Just push him off the sofa,” he teased, pointing to the empty space in front of you. Your eyes rolled, trying once again to shake him, but he still didn’t move. “Jeno!” Taeil yelled, getting close to his ear, watching as his body jumped at the sudden noise.
You couldn’t help but chuckle as he groaned, opening up his eyes to see what all the commotion was. You pointed straight over to Taeil, as he slowly sat himself up.
“Have I really been asleep that long?”
Your head nodded, trying as best as you could to adjust his hair, so it looked at least a little bit more presentable. “They’re going to have to sort out this mess, so I thought it would be better for you to wake up now whilst you’ve still got plenty of time.”
Even though he was still exhausted, he knew that you’d done the right thing in waking him up, feeling the glare of many of the other members firing in his direction. He looked back at you once he felt a little more human, smiling softly.
“I bet your numb having laid that for that long,” he giggled, “you really didn’t have to be here and lay with me, I know I messed up.”
Your head shook, resting your hand against his back, “I told you that it didn’t matter, you can just make it up to me. And surprisingly, I don’t actually feel too bad.”
“Let me help you up at least.”
His arms stretched up as he stood up from the sofa before helping you to your feet, wrapping his arms securely around your waist. “Don’t start getting cuddly again, you’ve got some angry noonas who need to fix your face.”
“I’m sure they won’t be that mad,” he chuckled, kissing the tip of your nose, “no one can stay made at me for too long anyway.”
“I don’t think you’ll be saying that soon,” you smiled.
He looked over to where the stylists were stood, waiting to redo all the work they had done a couple of hours ago. Jeno looked back to you, as you shrugged helplessly.
“Looks like you’ve got some explaining to do,” you teased, pushing him forwards, “and they do not look pleased with you.”
“This is your fault, you told me to lay down.”
“Who do you really think they’ll blame, me or you? I think we both know I’m the more believable of the two.”
“I’ll get you back for this, trust me.”

“Do you think he’ll like it?”
“He said he likes tiramisu so yea” Jeno answered
“But I don’t want it to seem like I’m bribing him with food. Maybe I should just-“
“Y/N-ah, it’s fine. Jaemin will love it. And he’s not really mad at you, you know. He’s just sad and disappointed” Jeno assured the girl who was currently fiddling with the cake she was holding.
When Y/N came to Jeno, asking him for help he didn’t hesitate to say yes. He knew the situation was a bit complicated considering his friends are not on speaking terms at the moment.
He could only imagine the tension over at Haechan and Renjun’s dorm.
“You know that doesn’t make it any better” y/n deadpanned, the boy sitting across her just shooting her one of his famous eye smile
“Don’t worry about it, where is Haechan by the way?” Jeno asked
“He still has two more classes, I had to call him this morning to make sure he actually got out of bed” y/n stated, Jeno was just smiling to himself as Y/n speaks about his friend.
Even if their relationship was pretend at the beginning, it looks like it isn’t anymore. He’s just not sure if those two were aware of it.
The first time he saw y/n and Haechan together, he didn’t even think twice about their relationship. They just clicked so easily it seemed like they’ve been dating for a long time.
All those times the two were together, it wouldn’t even cross anyone’s mind that it was fake.
They brought out sides of each other, better sides, without even realizing it.
“I should go over and see if he’s okay but I don’t want to bother Renjun, I’m sure I’m the last person he would want to see” The girl mumbled, she looked so down and ridden with guilt
“That’s not true, he just needs some time. He’ll come around” Jeno said then shot Y/N a comforting smile. The two didn’t notice Jaemin approaching the bench they were sitting on
“Hello” Jaemin said making the pair jump in surprise. Y/N immediately stood up and bowed her head, holding out the box towards Jaemin
“I’m really really sorry about making you upset and lying to you. I understand if you don’t want to be friends with me anymore, here’s a little peace offering to lessen your sadness atleast for a bit” Y/N said, her voice getting lower as she speaks more
Jaemin leaned his head down, standing in line of Y/N’s sight
“My eyes are not on the floor though” the blue haired boy chuckled
“Sorry”
“You need to stop apologizing for everything, like I said I wasn’t mad” Jaemin shot the girl a small smile then accepting the gift she was handing over
“Sorr- I mean… Yea…” Y/N stuttered, trying to stop herself from saying sorry again
“Don’t worry, thanks for this. You didn’t have to but thank you”
“I really do apologize for making you upset. That was never the intention we had when we did it” Y/N told him and also Jeno
“May I know why? Why did you do it?”

part one | two
a lot of you wanted a happy ending so here it is as a late christmas gift! hope you guys enjoy it and thank you for all the love for the first part 🥺
It was Christmas Eve, roughly a week since Chenle's party and Jeno still couldn't shake off the thought of you. The kiss ignited something in him, that love that he hadn't felt in a long time. That taste still lingered on his lips and your words still played with his mind. You were right. It was better that you two just went your separate ways. He hurt you and he could never convince himself that you wanted anything to do with him anymore. It was better that you were happy without him.
"So um… Jeno?" Jaemin spoke up hesitantly through Jeno's headphones.
"Hmm?" Jeno hummed in response, more concentrated on his kart drifting on his phone screen in front of him.
"At Chenle's party… we all saw you and Y/n…" Jaemin trailed off, not entirely sure how he was going to bring up the awkward topic with his best friend.
"And mister, you haven't brought it up at all this past week!" Haechan shouted through the voice chat and Jaemin groaned.
"We agreed to discuss this delicately, Hyuck." Renjun complained.
"Sorry, I was getting impatient." Haechan answered shamelessly, their race ending as they all arrived back in the game waiting room.
"Anyways, so what's going on with you two?" Mark asked casually.
"It's nothing guys…" Jeno replied in a soft voice, "we kissed… but Y/n told me it doesn't change anything… it's better for us to just move on from each other."
"I'll start crying." Jisung commented through a fake sob.
"Okay, that's what Y/n thinks, but how do you feel about everything?" Jaemin pondered.
"It doesn't really matter how I feel, right? I'm the one who hurt Y/n… so it's only fair that I just let Y/n move on…" Jeno admitted, his voice so obviously laced with sadness.
"Jeno…" Haechan sighed, "Y/n hasn't spoken to me ever since that party, and as the undisputed best friend, I can clearly tell that something is wrong."
"I thought I was quite tough competition for best friend, but okay." Chenle said teasingly.
"Shut up, Chenle," Haechan responded, "anyways, what I'm saying is that I don't think Y/n is being honest, all feelings considered… It doesn't seem like Y/n is over you, Jeno."
"Yeah, but it's still selfish for me to just waltz back in after what happened." Jeno mumbled stubbornly.
"I just imagined Jeno dramatically waltzing into Y/n's apartment." Jisung snickered.
"Honestly I would pay to see that." Chenle giggled in response.
"Jeno, please just answer the question," Jaemin sighed again, "how do you feel about Y/n right now?"
"But-"
"Just answer the question, Jeno Lee." Mark said sternly and Jeno just let out an exasperated sigh.
"I… I still love Y/n… just as much as I did, maybe even more now that I was on my own," Jeno admitted, "I was impulsive and immature and… I wish I could take back what happened between us."
"So um… go tell that to Y/n?" Mark replied nonchalantly.
"You make it sound like it's so easy." Jeno grumbled in annoyance.
"Just hold on, I have a plan." Haechan insisted before going offline.
…..
"I'm surprised you actually picked up." Haechan spoke and you just rolled your eyes, putting him on speaker as you busied yourself making popcorn.
"Hello to you too," you replied sarcastically, "what's the occasion?"
"Um… Christmas eve?" Haechan answered dramatically, as if offended by your question, "I know you've been in a mood lately, but you don't have to turn into the Grinch."
"I have not been in a mood," you complained, grabbing your bowl and cellphone and retreating to the lounge, "so did you just call to annoy me?"
"It's not like you have any other plans, I know you're sitting in the living room with popcorn ready to watch Home Alone."
"Shut up." You really had no snarky comeback for his completely accurate read on you.
"Plus, I'm not trying to annoy you," Haechan insisted, making you roll your eyes, "I'm just a concerned friend… you've been really distant since the party."
"Oh… have I?"
"I saw you with Jeno… what's going on over there?"
"Nothing is going, we agreed to just go our own ways, it's better that way."
"Better for who exactly?" Haechan probed in his typical inquisitive fashion, "is it what you want?"
"Hyuck… I don't really want to have this conversation right now, we're over."
"Y/n… are you still in love with him?"
Yes. You had already come to that conclusion the night of the party. After seeing his face after hearing his voice, after that kiss… you couldn't lie to yourself. You definitely still loved him and it made you so angry with yourself because you weren't supposed to love him anymore. You were supposed to be getting over him, but no matter how hard you tried, he clouded your thoughts. You wanted to be with him again, but you knew better than to run back into his arms. He didn't love you as much as you loved him. That was why he broke up with you in the first place and that was why he let you just walk away at the party. He was over you.
"Can I hang up now?"
"Wait! I'm attempting to spice up your usually boring Christmas eve." Haechan insisted.
"You're doing a really terrible job so far."
"Listen, I'll drop off my gift at 12, please anticipate." And with that, Haechan cut off the call, not giving you a chance to ask any further questions.
You chucked your phone aside, placing your bowl of popcorn in your lap and opting to watch the Polar Express instead to spite Haechan. Two or three other movies in and the clock struck midnight. It was officially Christmas and you were left there in your apartment to anticipate Haechan's surprise gift. You weren't going to get your hopes up since Haechan loved to play pranks. You were mentally preparing yourself to get sprayed with a can of fake snow as soon as you opened the front door to him.
While you were engrossed in scrolling through Instagram, your security system chimed, indicating that Haechan had probably arrived with your surprise. You lugged yourself off the couch and lazily walked towards the front door. You unlocked the door and swung it open, expecting to see Haechan's mischievous smile before getting pelted with something, but none of that awaited you. Instead, Jeno stood at your door, nose red and his hands stuffed into the pockets of his puffy jacket. The wind outside was merciless, letting his thick hair fly over his face.
"Jeno?" You asked uselessly, but you were baffled as to why this man was standing in front of you again.
"H-hey." Jeno stammered, his body shivering against the cold weather.
"This weather um… come inside." You replied gingerly before stepping aside to welcome him into the warmth of your home.
Jeno practically bolted into the apartment, his body immediately relaxing once you closed the door and the wind no longer nipped at his face. You quietly made your way to the kitchen, turning on the kettle to make him a cup of tea while he slipped his shoes off and peeled off his jacket. Jeno silently arrived in the kitchen, smiling politely as he took the cup of tea that you offered him. Like a lost puppy, he trailed behind you and followed you to the living room. He hesitantly took a seat on the couch next to you, taking a sip of the tea to calm his nerves.
"What are you doing here?" You finally spoke up, your words coming out a bit more bitterly that you had intended.
"I came to apologise… for what I did to you," Jeno set the cup down, "I'm really sorry for hurting you like-"
"Jeno, can we not talk about this?" You shook your head, refusing to make eye contact with him, "I thought we agreed to just move on… go our separate ways."
"We can't move on without talking about this," Jeno sighed softly, "we both haven't been honest, so how can we move on when we're bottling up how we really feel?"
"Jeno…"
"Y/n listen… I fucked up, I acted impulsively and immaturely and hurt you as a result of that," Jeno held his head low, his hands clasped together as he rested his elbows on his knees, "I regret what I did because I really love you so much… I'm so sure of that and when we met again at the party, I regretted everything."
"You really fucking hurt me, Jeno," you felt your eyes welling up with tears as you looked over at him, "after two years… I really thought I was just a joke to you."
"I'm sorry," Jeno cleared his throat, "I loved you for those two years and I still do.."
"Jeno, look at me." You commanded.
He lifted his head and his heart broke when he saw the tears brimming your eyes, your hands balling into fists as you attempted to calm down your racing heart. The look of pain in your eyes was mirrored in his. You could tell Jeno meant every word he said to you. He was so sure of himself. So it was time for you to be sure of yourself.
"I love you too… As pathetic as it sounds I never got over you," you took a deep inhale, "you really hurt me…"
"I know… I know…" Jeno cooed, his hands came to rest over yours, "I know I'm being selfish right now, but if you want to… I'd really want us to try again and I promise I won't be stupid like that again."
"Okay…" You replied, giving his hands a reassuring squeeze.
"Okay?"
"Yes Jeno… this is your second chance," the bright smile that appeared on his face brought one to your own, "make it count."
"I definitely will," Jeno hummed, "I promise you that."
Jeno's hand dove into the pocket of his jeans and he pulled out a little green Christmas ornament. You couldn't hold back the amused laughter that escaped you when you noticed it was mistletoe. He held the mistletoe above you both, pointing his index finger towards his lips. You shook your head in bemusement before leaning forward and planting a sweet kiss on Jeno's lips. He giggled against your mouth, the mistletoe falling from his hand as he cupped your face, pulling you closer to him.

Sleepy Kisses ~ Lee Jeno

Your smile was wide as you slowly lowered yourself down after sliding your legs underneath the duvet, feeling an arm settle just underneath your head. You turned slightly to look at Jeno laying beside you as his arm wrapped around you and pulled you against his chest.
Your hand rested against his chest as you made yourself comfortable, feeling Jeno’s finger trace gently against your shoulder. As a small yawn escaped you, a chuckle came from Jeno as he kept his eyes watching you, easily able to tell just how tired you were as you rested for the night.
Jeno knew that you’d had a busy day, having rung him during your lunch break to vent about how stressed you were, he knew he needed to do something for you when you got home, deciding that a lazy night would be the best thing for you to help you out.
“Do you want to sleep now?”
Your head shook in reply to Jeno, keen to spend just a bit of time cuddled up to him first. As your head shook, he moved towards you and pressed several gentle kisses against the very top of your head, keeping each one soft.
“We can lay here like this all night long,” Jeno told you as a sigh of content came from you, relieved to be relaxed in Jeno’s arms, and more importantly, home, with him helping to clear your mind of the many troubles that were swirling around in it.
With your eyes staring forwards, across at the window where the curtains were drawn, Jeno continued to kiss over the top of your head. You’d lost count of how many kisses he planted until your head tilted up, with a wide smile on your face.
The moment he looked down and saw you looking back at him, Jeno leant further down to be able to peck against your lips several times too, knowing that he was distracting you as you focused on keeping your blush under control instead.
“What are you thinking about now?” Jeno asked you.
“You,” you smiled in response as he pulled away momentarily, “and how you always seem to know the way to cheer me up, how you get it right, every single time.”
“I just want to be able to help you,” Jeno told you as he replied, continuing to run his hand across the top of your shoulder, “I hate seeing you getting overworked, you don’t deserve it, you’re so strong and smart, but they just keep taking advantage of you.
Your head nodded in agreement with him, you couldn’t help but feel the same about how you were treated at work, constantly used by your colleagues.
“I wish I could get you out of there,” Jeno frowned, “there should be work at the company for you somewhere.”
“I can’t let you do that,” you responded, tapping your hand against his chest to let him know that you meant it.
Jeno knew that asking for help was something that you struggled with, you didn’t like to admit that you needed support, you liked to be tough and do it on your own, but on nights like tonight, you really did need Jeno to be there for you and help you to feel better.
And as ever, he was right there for you, supporting you and trying his best to make you feel better. Several more kisses were scattered all over the top of your head as soon as he felt that you were beginning to fret once again.
He kept his eye on you every time he pulled away from you, spotting each time that he looked down that you were getting sleepier and sleepier tucked up in his hold.
As his hand stopped moving, you looked up to Jeno in confusion. “What are you doing?” You frowned, missing the comfort that the patterns that he drew brought you.
Jeno quickly picked back up what he was doing again, noticing your smile drop as he met your eyes, frustrated that he had stopped wrapping himself tightly around you.
“I thought you were falling asleep,” he told you with a wide smile on his face.
“I’m not falling asleep just yet,” you assured him, positioning yourself back against his chest, “I want more of your kisses before I think about falling asleep anyway.”
“I think I can do that,” he joked in reply to you, tracing his lips through your hairline once again, having lost count of how many times he’d done it since the two of you laid down.
Each time you shuffled, Jeno found a new place to kiss, making sure that you were never left without one for too long. He had his eyes on you the entire time, knowing that the moment he caught you falling asleep, he’d let you rest.
“Has coming to bed early helped you feel better tonight?” Jeno asked you as he noticed your eyes staring forwards again, trying your best to get them to shut.
“You’re the thing that’s helped, and how incredibly caring you are towards me.”
“I’m just doing what any good boyfriend would do,” Jeno assured you, but your head shook, turning upwards to look at him once again, refusing to let him brush aside what he did for you.
Your eyes stayed on his as you spoke, “not many people would take care of their partners like you do, you’re always there for me, and I really adore that about you Jeno.”
A shy smile crept onto his face as you spoke, never really feeling as if he went out of his way to care for you. It was instinct in him, he simply loved being there for you and trying his best to see you smile again too.
“I know that you feel as if you’ve done nothing tonight bringing me up here and tucking me in nice and early, but it’s really comforting Jeno. Having you kiss me and hold me reminds me that I’m not alone, which is really what I need right now.”
“I’ll never let you be alone,” Jeno assured you, kissing against your forehead once again, “no matter how badly other people will make you feel as if you’re stranded.”
“You’re the best,” you smiled across at him, “I don’t even know what I’d do without you these days Jeno.”
“I reckon you’d be just fine; you don’t give yourself enough credit Y/N.”
Jeno was confident that you’d see it through, but he still enjoyed being the one that was there for you. He had promised himself when he started dating you that he’d stay by your side, and that was something that Jeno would never allow to change.
“Why don’t you try and close your eyes?” Jeno suggested, catching you letting go of a yawn as you turned away from Jeno to try and hide it.
“At last, I actually feel a little bit tired,” you weakly smiled, surprised yourself by how well Jeno’s plan had exhausted you. “I’ve been scared to sleep for a little while, but laying here with you right now is comforting me.”
“I’ll hold onto you all night long,” Jeno promised you, “we can lay for as long as you need, all through to the morning too. I’ll lay here and kiss the top of your head for as much as you need me too to help you out.”
“How will you sleep if you’re kissing me?”
“I’ll find a way to do it,” Jeno grinned, “I’ve got my ways to make things work.”
“I don’t doubt that you’ll find a way too.”
