TGED Novel Comparison
TGED Novel Comparison
Look, I like the Webtoon adaptation with all its humor or exaggerated meme expression, but I love the details in the novel even more. Like, this part where we get to see Javier's devotion to protect Lloyd:
Like, he's so down and ready to go take the elves life to safe Lloyd 😭 The utter concern and worry from Javier side described in the novel is just * chef kiss * There's so much moments of heartfelt and tenderness that got skipped in the Webtoon (like the baron dad going on a makeshift picnic with his son), though understandable. Honestly, the vibe between the novel and webtoon are pretty different, how Lloyd does things changed a bit but both medium are enjoyable!

In the novel, does Lloyd ever learned how OG Lloyd broke Javier's wooden sword in two?
I'm gonna ramble a bit but short answer: Yes.
Okay, first of all, the webtoon adaptation went differently from the webnovel. Some moments are skipped, and some others are delegated to a different chapter. Heck, a lot of Lloyd and Javier's banters got skipped. How Lloyd dealt with Viscount Lacona's knight is different, the knight didn't try to assassinate Lloyd in his sleep, and Lloyd didn't accept the knight's demand for a duel. There is more insight from Lloyd on why Javier is hesitant to completely trust his sincerity (the RP is still in the negative before).
Like, here's their conversation after they dealt the contract with the viscount (who tried to sabotage the water in the Frontera fiefdom):
So, here. The knight just barged and tried to attack Lloyd, in the viscount territory, except his attack was stopped by Javier. Completely different from the webtoon. Of course, Lloyd being Lloyd, he teased and made fun of Javier whenever and wherever 😂 Anyway, the development is completely different from the webtoon.
There's a part where Lloyd said there's good news and bad news, of how Javier is so talented that people would want to recruit him. Javier said it won't matter because his loyalty lies to the Baron alone and no one else basically.
They even talked about Sir Bayern, the webnovel expanded how Lloyd appreciates the other senior knight in the Frontera barony as he is a steadfast, fair, and unselfish man who prioritized the development and betterment of the fiefdom over getting envious of Javier, a younger knight, of being stronger. The novel has more pronounced in-depth appreciation and closer relationship of the other side characters than the webnovel, more than just comedic gag and Lloyd just using/exploiting Sir Bayern's talent.
Here's a glimpse of how Javier berated Lloyd for being improper and his RP no longer being in the negative:
Sorry for low quality, I just screenshot them through mobile 😂
ANYWAY! The conversation, place, and timing of Javier and Lloyd having their talk is different from the webtoon. It's soft, and feels more fluffy and I prefer the novel over the manhwa adaptation, but both medium are good. Just, I like the softer and calmer feels in the original webnovel.
Postknight fanart of the Pompon Village merchant, Carle! 😇✨
I'm drawing his design back in PK1 and mixing it a bit with Pk2. The Eolin temple priest design is based on the Caldemount arc when we deliver knightmail to the South Temple. Based on PK2 chat, delivery quest, and event, we've learned that Carle is formerly an Eolin Priest but for some unknown reason quit at athe age of 33 years old. Though fellow priest/priestess seems to still try to persuade him to return?
Also, Merchant Carle is forty years old as of year 1836 in the Postknight sequel Postknight 2. This old man has no right looking so cute and dorky 😤
Lumero merchant rising star, Felicity of Jemsworth Port... it still confuse me how out all the fanarts I posted in Kurechii server, this one got 50 hearts. How?? Why??? Of course, as a character, I like Felicity's shrewd audacity and scams. Still, why??? 😂

For Saphs, I think it's the cool art style and painting-like shading. Your way of drawing your character is recognizable and really says "you". But you're able to imitate other styles depending on what you're working on so there's that too. @9617saphs
For Trin, it's their adorable and fluid plus expressiveness in their work. Cuteness overload. @cookiewitch-trin
For Lime, the dynamics and linearts, plus the colors that either goes pop or saturated, gorgeous and easy on the eyes. @norri-toad
For TJ, it's the simplicity and bright colors, very adorable and merry. @tjthegamerking
For Lori, how you draw the character is distinguishable and notably you. Unfortunately, I don't get to see your present work often so I can't make a clear analysis, but know I find them adorable! @lostkalei
For Pola, their pixel art is just amazing! No discernable traits I can note yet though. Pola's character as a box outshines everything, lol @polarisstarnor
For Cherry, she has a brilliant anime art style with beautiful sense of space and background. Don't have much analysis on it yet.
