I remotely think about planning for my wedding.

Cute High Earth Defense Club Love!, everyone. It’s stupidly, amazingly good. I started watching it for the LULZ and now I friggin’ love it.

Best part is I converted Jace to it, ahahahaha....

This is why he’s the best detective ever, and why he follows Miles around like Dug from UP. I wanna hug him like a big teddy bear and make a good hearty dinner for him; he deserves more than just instant noodles and weenie lunches.

I still think it’d be funny if it turned out that he’s the Chief of Police around the time of Apollo Justice/Dual Destinies. XD It’d explain why we don’t have our loyal Gumshoe around to help us.

he offers to do pretty much anything that could be remotely helpful in some way: clean the desk, get books from the shelf, cook dinner, water the plant, etc

he just wants to help in whatever way he can and if that’s not the sweetest thing ever i don’t know what is ;v;

Oh, Good Wife’s Guide, how horrible and troll-material you are. Out of curiosity and a tinge of boredom, I decided to see how “good” of a “wife” I am right now to Beloved, since we’ll be getting married soon and all. (NOTE: Since we don’t have children, I’m subbing in our two cats.)

Concerning Dinner. I’d only spend the previous day planning a meal if it’s for a special occasion! While I do usually aim to have supper ready when Beloved comes home, it’s very rarely prepared and on the table when he does. Some nights we can’t decide on what to have, or I’ll get to it last minute because Reasons. Sometimes he’s just not hungry due to his stomach acting up. 

Look nice. HA. I don’t wear make-up, and I’m usually in a t-shirt when he comes home. Sometimes I look/feel just as tired as him, too. He’s just glad to see me.

Be interesting. My duty? WHUT. Shouldn’t he be interesting too? If I was boring, we wouldn’t have celebrated our 9th anniversary this year.

Clearing clutter. Yeah, that ain’t happening. I’m a messy person by nature, and Beloved knows this. Keeping the place spotless every single day would be a nightmare for us both.

More cleaning. Still not happening. I dust, but not regularly, and certainly not every single day. I’d be scared if Beloved suddenly started inspecting for dust when he got home.

Light a fire. That requires having a fireplace to begin with. I guess the equivalent would be a hot drink and the house warm when he comes home? Of course I’ll help him warm up, he had to walk from the bus station when it’s frigging COLD out there. That’s just being a basic caring person!

Prepare the “children” and be quiet. Also not happening. If the cats were silent quiet when they came over to greet Beloved, we’d both be worried. Our girls are vocal kitties and always meow when seeking our attention/being fed. As for appliances, Beloved doesn’t really care if they’re running; it just means that chores have been done.

Be happy to see him. This should be a normal, natural response in a healthy relationship. If I’m REQUIRED to appear happy to see him when I’m not, SOMETHING IS VERY, VERY WRONG.

Greet him warmly. Again, this should be a normal, natural response in a healthy relationship. I welcome Beloved home with a hug and a kiss because I love him and want to show it, not because I’m there simply to “please” him. Ugh.

Listen to him. Yes and no. I ask Beloved how his day was as both courtesy and give him a way to vent all of annoying or frustrating stuff he can’t mention in the office, like how stupid a client is being. Then he can transition into relaxing for the night. His topics of conversation are NOT more important than mine, though.

Make the evening his. OH HELL NO. I wouldn’t be with Beloved if he did this on a regular basis. 

Wife Goal. Why should it only be him who gets to relax? If I wanna play Pokemon Shuffle while he feeds the cats or does the dishes on a weekend, I’ll damn well do it!

Don’t greet him with complaints & problems. This is just basic common courtesy. Geez. If say, the stove is on fire or something, then yes, I’ll “greet” him with a “problem”.

Don’t complain. OH HELL NO X2. Beloved takes public transit, so it’s not his fault if the damn train or bus is running late. If he were gone all night with no explanation, I’d be PANICKED AND WORRIED SICK, not simply complaining!  

Make him comfy. / Pillow and shoes. He can walk to his computer desk just fine, thanks. Seriously, I only do things like this when he’s had a REALLY bad day & needs some extra TLC, AND I’m not busy at the moment with something.

Don’t question him. I ABSOLUTELY FUCKING WILL QUESTION HIM. He is not the “master” of me or the cats and I am WELL within my rights to second-guess him or express my different thoughts! Seriously, one time he suggested using pound cake for our cheese fondue dinner, while forgetting we’d had cake with a chocolate fondue dessert months ago.

A good wife knows her place. Which is BEING EQUAL with her spouse!! DUH!!

Beloved: “That guide is 33% common courtesy, 33% Man-is-Master-Woman-is-Slave crap, and 33% pure bullshit.”

Me: “So it’s 66% misogyny?”

Beloved: “Yeah, pretty much.”
