Hands over some red and white flowers he had chosen out. ❝ I have heard you enjoyed such a thing... I do like to make bouquets on occasion. ❞

They could not say they knew much of Karna.  Only bits and pieces  (  the basics  )  seen from a distance.  None of that led Enkidu to believe they would receive such a gift when they had done nothing in return.  Was that not what a gift was  ??  a token for someone you hold dear, a return memory for one previously given.  Perhaps they still had much to learn.

Partial smile growing as the corners of their mouth turn up  —  slender fingers gathering the flowers with a care not often shown.  Taking a moment to appreciate their beauty  (  for that's what they were, beautiful.  a gift  ).  Very pleased, if not confused.  They were not quite worth the effort made.  Though, they were not completely unknowing.  Such a token was given with thought and purpose; they would not turn it away.

Eyes leaving the flowers to meet the others gaze, head falling slightly as they granted a warm smile.  ❝  Thank you…  though you need not have gone to the effort.  They are as vibrant as my sincere gratitude.  You have a talent for color.  ❞

Enkidu was quite happy where they were  —  tired, content noise.  Head propped up on the others leg  (  fingers playing with the tips of their hair  )  as Gilgamesh did whatever it was he was prone to do.  They did not mind.  Always happy to just hover in the kings presence.  Warm day shining bright; they felt like a rather comfortable cat.  Reaching up with a huff to tug at the others bangs  (  unlike them, to demand attention  )  but it felt much like time for a nap.  They had been promised a spar before the day closed.

Slowly they were falling asleep.

It was not out of the ordinary to feel the gentle motion of fingers in their hair no more then it was to feel a playful tug.  Half asleep, Enkidu almost didn’t notice the resemblance to how one pats a dog  —  soft scratches only adding to their drowzy state.  Eyes falling shut with a hum.

❝  If you do not wish to fight today, you could just say rather then–  ❞  Cut off with a yawn, head tilted to the side  (  hand moving to follow the silent guide  ).  Green blinking back open to the others face.  ❝  –putting me to sleep instead.  ❞
