Hi Everyone!!

So I have an entire week off from work and very few plans, so it is my intention to write like crazy and queue a bunch of stuff up for you all. I was thinking though, about maybe doing some kind of sleepover event to kick things off. Like I’ll have little categories and you can send in asks and we can do drabbles or moodboards, ships, games, questions. I’ll have to figure it out, but let me know if anyone is interested! And let me know if you have any category ideas!

Luca Changretta x pregnant reader

Summary: Luca loves spoiling his pregnant wife with little surprises. Today the treat is gelato.

Author’s Note: A bit of fluff I was imagining after writing my Luca x reader x Jack fic “Salvation.” My personal head canon that Luca is a foodie.

“Close your eyes, vita mia,” Luca whispered playfully in your ear. You turned to face him, eyebrow raised questioningly and he tutted at you.  “Alright, I’ll close them, but what are you up to now?” you asked in mock annoyance, your broad grin giving you away. Luca was always surprising you with little trinkets and treats. You wondered what it would be today.

Playing along, you covered your eyes with one hand. Luca took your other hand in his, gently pulling you to the table on the sunny terrace. He sat you carefully on a cushioned chair, waiting for you to ease yourself down. It wasn’t easy in your advanced stage of pregnancy, but you managed. You couldn’t help peeking through a crack in your fingers, an impish giggle escaping your lips. You saw Luca holding a spoon of ice cream to your mouth at the same time you felt the cool sensation on your lips. “Open,” he instructed with a smile.

Dropping your hand from your eyes, you opened your mouth slowly, extending your tongue to lick the frosted spoon. It tasted of sweet cherries. “Mmmm, delicious,” you pronounced.

Inspecting the bowl Luca held, you noticed layers of pink, green and brown all melting together. “Rainbow ice cream?” you asked quirking an eyebrow in confusion. You’d never seen anything like this in Boston. You’d only had plain chocolate and vanilla. 

Luca chuckled, “Spumoni gelato, amore. It's cherry, pistachio and chocolate. Would you like to try the pistachio next?”

You nodded eagerly. Feeding you another spoonful of the dessert, you felt a strong kick in your belly. “He likes the pistachio, Luca,” you said pulling Luca’s free hand to your stomach. Luca’s ringed hand caressed your bump and the babe kicked once more for his father. “I think you’re right,” Luca said looking at you adoringly. 

Picking up the bowl once more he asked, “Do you taste the difference?” You nodded, opening your mouth for another bite. “Gelato is milk and eggs. It’s denser and more flavorful than ice cream,” Luca explained.

“Yes, I think I could eat it every day!” you exclaimed licking your sticky lips. “But I shouldn’t eat all of this by myself. Won’t you have some too?” you asked looking at the bowl and back up to Luca’s eyes. Luca reached forward to wipe gelato from the corner of your mouth gently with his thumb. “No, this is for you and Salvatore,” he replied before feeding you the remainder of the cool treat.
