Introduction
They found him underground in a block of ice in a ship with his shield. He was called Captain America. His real name was Steve Rogers.
“Pull him out carefully. We don’t want to break the ice yet. Not until we get somewhere warm,” Nick Fury said.
They were in the arctic. It was really cold. The people there had super soft winter coats.
Nick Fury was leading a mission there. While they were looking for what they wanted, they found Captain instead. He was frozen solid in a block of blue ice that was almost 70 years old. Cap was almost 100 years old!
“Be careful! It could break,” a man said.
“The shield is not totally frozen, but it’s still frosted. We should see if the dude is still alive,” Nick Fury said.
“Yeah, I think you’re right, Fury. We should get him back to headquarters,” the first man said.
“We should probably leave now,” Nick Fury said.
In the S.H.I.E.L.D. H.Q., Fury put Captain in a room. Its bed had green covers and sheets. The pillowcases were also green.
He woke suddenly to the sound of the radio. A fake baseball game playing on the radio. Steve recognized the game because he was there. He wondered where he was. A woman came in. He asked her where he was and what time he was in.
She said, “Why, it’s 1941. That’s the game that the Yankees are playing right now.”
“No ma’am, really. What year is it?” he asked.
“I already told you…”
“Tell me!” he said with worry. “I was at the game. You’re lying to me. What year is it?!”
The woman called for Nick Fury. He came in with a little girl that looked to be about 9 years old, but was really 13. Nick led her towards Steve and said, “This is Fighter Wesley. She grew up in Canada. She came to America when she was 7 years old.”
